A special thank you to Perseus Books Group, Da Capo Press, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

WEEKEND WONDER DETOX was the perfect book to reinforce my research of foods, additives, environmental toxins, and a wealth of information for anyone wanting to take control of their health and well-being. (I wish the book had been around when I began my research and journey years ago), as everything you NEED, is included in this incredible and resourceful book.

One you will want to keep on hand for reference for years to come, and give as gifts to your family and friends. helpful. I am so excited about this book and want to tell everyone about it. The author did an outstanding job of explaining and detailing, with extensive background --critical for every woman, man, and child.

As anything else, you have to WANT AND NEED something bad enough, develop passion, and educate yourself if you want a healthy body and lifestyle for yourself, and your family. WEEKEND WONDER is definitely your education and guide and will set you on the correct path.

A comprehensive guide, to help you with cleansing, detox, assessments, journals, as well as educating you about essentials, foods and toxins, superfoods, specific organ targets, menus, recipes, exercises, spa treatments, stress remedies, and even body care (ladies, you will love this section), and household products (learn to make your own safe products), with strategies to establish healthful habits in your everyday life.

Michelle Schoffro Cook, International Best-selling and 16-Time Book Author and Holistic Nutritionist, offers a fresh approach --the best I have read, helping you reset your natural body chemistry with a variety of different plans, to improve your overall health. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Weekend Wonder Detox is one of the best and most comprehensive detox and healthy living books I have come across. It holds a wealth of information within its pages. I absolutely loved it!

What I Liked About This Book:

I loved how the author went into great detail about everything - foods, environment, clothing. She discussed the background, history, and inclusion of many harmful additives and substances into the SAD, etc. Although I knew many things prior to picking up this book, there was so much more that I learned upon reading this book.

The quiz that she included was spot on related to my health issues, which was quite remarkable. It pinpointed exactly where my top critical "crisis" areas were.

The suggested plan for each detox area was simple. It was not burdensome or heavy on the hard-to-gets as many lifestyle or detox plans can be.

The recommended supplements and extras to support the chosen detox programs were very helpful. I loved the combo plus approach in terms of Eastern-Western. I have found that I do well with a mix method.

The educational empowerment message and the ongoing encouragement that the author provided were excellent. Embarking on wellness journeys can be daunting for many, so it is important that books such as this remember to cast a light on the positives and/or on the things that will come over as gains. Realistic plans that do not add a heavy load to an already congested life will always be a winner in my eyes. The author seems to understand this which is perfect.

Ultimately, what I can tell you about this title is that it is top-notch. It belongs on the keeper shelf, marked as favorite. I will definitely get a hard copy of this book. I cannot wait!

This book is wonderful. It is the best detox or cleanse book I've seen so far.

It's easy to read and understand. Each chapter focuses on one kind of weekend cleanse, depending on your individual needs. And if you're not sure what type of cleanse is best for you, don't worry. There's a chapter that describes cleanses in general, and then offers a quiz to help you determine which organ needs some help.

The quiz was dead on for me. It pointed me to the top 2 areas that I need to focus on, and I'm doing the first cleanse this weekend.

There are detailed instructions of what you should eat, or what you should avoid. Great, simple to follow recipes, and a a sample menu plan. But it doesn't stop there. You also get instruction on acupressure and a couple exercises. One thing I especially like is the journal customized to each detox. This helps with tracking the superfoods for that weekend, exercise and how you feel.

A well-structured, detailed, all-encompassing ,easy to follow plan. Highly recommended.

I liked the title and something that you can do within 1-3 days was even better. I see the author added various detoxes as well or flushes: liver, skin, fat blast, kidney, colon, and lymphs. Not sure if I can find most of the items, hopefully at a whole food store like Trader's Joe, but willing to try someday. For me, I have only liked or done Dr. Haas detoxing (found in article my grandmother sent years ago and also available on his website).

I am also reading 10-day green smoothie (JJ Smith) which seems similar.

But I like the overall diet, 10 make-you-fat-foods, 8 fat-burning foods, and some meditation like exercises that I can do during breaks at work or at home in the morning via night.
