He’s a grumpy single dad with no time for drama. She’s a holiday-perfect hurricane he never saw coming.
After a messy divorce and years of solo parenting, all Jett wants is to survive the holidays without losing his mind. Between driving his UPS route, wrangling his energetic son, and microwaving whatever’s not frozen solid, he’s barely holding it together.
Enter Nina polished, poised, and a little too perfect. She’s got the kind of smile that could frost a gingerbread house—and the attitude to match. She’s also his most uptight customer, and he’s pretty sure she’s allergic to fun… and him.
They clash on sight. They bicker every delivery day.
So why can’t Jett stop thinking about her?
Turns out, underneath all that sparkle, Nina might be just as lonely as he is. And when the lines between annoyance and attraction start to blur, Jett has to is he brave enough to believe in love again?
A spicy, feel-good, small-town Christmas romance with grumpy-sunshine tension, slow-burn steam, and the kind of heartwarming HEA that will make you believe in second chances.
I Need You is Book 1 of the Single Dads Of Maine series. It's a steamy, slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, grumpy-sunshine, girl gets her hunk Christmas romance. Nina is having a hard time navigating the holidays with out her parents. She's also still recovering from her last relationship with her jerk of an ex. Jett is a hunky, grumpy, single dad and UPS driver. He is still bitter from his divorce. He and Nina constantly butt heads as he delivers to her house. These two could spar with the best of them lol. As they spend more time together though, they realize maybe they misjudged each other and have more in common than they think. Both have been hurt are lonely. These two really had great chemistry and we got a happy ending after the tears, laughs, and angst. I loved it.
Two broken souls just trying to get through the day. Nina is going through a lot of emotional issues, much of which stem from missing her parents, her mom in particular. It's the Fall and holiday time of year that gets to her, and all the things she remembers doing with her mom that she does alone now. Also, it's been a couple of years since the breakup with her jerk ex. She's kinda holed herself up in her house and focused on social media content, just trying to get herself back together after how he treated her. What she doesn't need right now is a new delivery guy who is as grumpy as he is hot. She has a routine that he is messing with. Jett hasn't had a good couple of years. He's been divorced about a year, but even before that, things weren't going well. Now he has a new delivery route that he's struggling with, a contentious relationship with his ex, and he doesn't see his young son as much as he would like. He's grumpy. And, truth be told, lonely. He really doesn't need a cranky customer who does nothing but yell at him every day for doing his job. Despite a contentious first meeting, and second, and (well, you get the idea...) they start to realize that maybe they have more in common than they thought. This was a bit of a slow burn, with two people who had been hurt in relationships before but were willing to try again. Nina had to learn how to step out of her comfort zone, and Jett had to acknowledge his fault in the end of his marriage. But maybe they were exactly what the other needed to move forward. We all have the people we've lost and the things we miss, and I honestly needed a box of tissues reading this. It was sad in parts, but hopeful and full of promise. Expect a guy who is a little unsure and just trying not to mess things up, loving and helpful family members who just wanted to help them move on, and an adorable little boy who was a little too smart for his age.

Nina and Jett’s story is one of my favorites! It’s completely amazing…. They both admit their flaws and just want to be loved. Doesn’t everyone? There is so many parts of their story that touched my heart. Like the moments Nina has with her mom and the way Jett loves and is with Gavin! It made me love them both even more especially Jett. Their banter had me laughing and don’t get me started on Patty…. She always has me laughing to the point that someone in my house will be looking at me and asking are you okay? lol The way she is with everyone in this universe that Katie has created…. We all need a Patty in our lives! I can go on and on talking about this quick read, but don’t want to give too much away. You can definitely read it as a stand-alone, but to truly have the experience please start at the very beginning.
This is a story about to hurt people. Nina her ex tried to make her something that she is not, which has caused her to have the need for things to be perfect. Jett is a UPS driver that has just taken over a new route and still dealing with the divorce from his ex. Both are angry and set each other off from the beginning.
When she realizes she has unloaded on Jett, she makes him cookies. Jett still does not respond like he should, the bickering continues. They both are attracted to each other but it takes time for them to stop jumping to conclusions about the other. When they finally let go of the anger, they can built great together.

Nina and Jett are to miserable lonely people, although their relationships had ended pretty long ago, they still are holding onto past bitterness. They begin with a heated argument but all that heat between them is just a mask for the hurt they still feel. I adored this adorable book. Can’t wait for book 2.
