Mafia rules. Vampire secrets. Love wasn’t part of the deal.
Amara Leone has always lived in silence, navigating the dangerous world of her mafia family as the obedient, deaf daughter of a ruthless boss. But when she’s forced into an arranged marriage with Dylan Wood, the cold and enigmatic head of security for a powerful organization, her world becomes even more precarious.
Amara’s father wants her to spy on Dylan, but her new wife is far more complex than she appears. Amara may not hear the words, but she feels every layer of Dylan’s intensity.
Despite Dylan’s icy exterior, Amara discovers hidden vulnerabilities—like her quiet passion for gardening—that challenge her perception of the fierce security chief. But what Amara doesn’t know is that Dylan is hiding a much darker she’s a vampire.
As sparks of attraction fly and their connection begins to deepen, Amara remains unaware that she’s married into a supernatural world far more dangerous than her own.
Amara’s deafness becomes both her strength and her shield, allowing her to navigate the deadly undercurrents of their world. But with enemies closing in, and Dylan’s truth poised to shatter everything, their time is running out.
Will Amara’s newfound feelings survive the revelation of Dylan’s true nature, or will the secrets between them ignite a war that could destroy them both?
If you love your romances steamy with a side of danger, you won’t be able to put this one down.

I really liked both the main characters and the majority of the side characters. I enjoyed reading about a deaf character and that aspect made me like the book even more, since it added something more unique to the story. It was a little insta-love, but not as bad as the first one if I remember correctly, and I didn't really mind it since it made sense with the whole mate thing. The plot was also very interesting and written well imo, especially for a book this short. I'm not a fan of spice but I did enjoy the spice we got in this one, for the most part. I found it a bit strange how suddenly and quickly Dylan was able to use and understand sign language, but besides that not really much I didn't enjoy.
I enjoyed the first in the series but this one was way better and you don't have to read the first one to read this one. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue with the series, since the next other ones don't sound that interesting to me
3 ★ MC is deaf. This is such a unique selling point that I haven’t ever seen before as far as I’m aware (I’m not incredibly aware generally). But in the sapphic realm, I can’t say I’ve read anything with this point and that’s what makes it that bit more spedial.
Made for a very promising & interesting read into someone else’s way of life. With that being said I enjoyed parts but it lacked in others for me, I know how well this author can write aswell so it just fell short for me on this occasion, sadly. Love, love, love the premise though fr!
4/5 Oh I loved this one better than the first one ,I really enjoy this series. I had such fun reading about them, and I love the plot in this series.
I liked the way their relationship growed, and I liked reading the road it took for that relationship to begin somewhere.
Even since their first moments I knew that they would captivate me in a way it could be called compelling.
The couples rating: 1) Dylan and Amara 2) Sky and Jordan(I still love them)
The characters rating: 1) Dylan (are we shocked??) 2) Amara (i wish her the world🥹) 3) Jordan (my baby) 4) Sky (GAHHH ) 5) Maxine(I have high expectations) 6)River 7) Hunter
The stone cold bodyguard Dylan, and deaf mobster daughter Amara - an interesting combination for sure, and as always, there is much more going on that meets the eye. An arranged marriage, that is just for show, but given the spark between them when they first lay eyes on each other, it's always inevitable that it would become something more.
It is an enjoyable follow up to the first book, and nice to see the members of the coven again. The initial journey for Dylan and Amara is rough, as expected, but there are some tender and spicy moments, and it is satisfying when they finally come together. They're a cute couple, very much meant for each other. And of course certain characters get what they deserve. There isn't much added to the lore, but then again there doesn't need to be. It's a fast paced and easy read, and I am looking forward to the next book.
I will admit that I am also curious if some of the other supernaturals that turn up are from one of her other series?
But yeah, a fun read, especially for vampire fans.
So I was introduced to Chloe Peterson through her billionaire series which I LOVED. After finishing it, I jumped back in time to some of her paranormal works, and wasn't nearly as big of a fan.... So I was definitely hesitant going into this book, but call me PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. This book is a great, relatively lightweight vampire book compared to a lot of the others coming out right now. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a Fated Mates HEA with disability rep that takes place in gray, but not dark universe.
Again Chloe had me reading this book within a day. I tried to read slow, but it was just too good. I love the slow burn of Dylan and Amara’s love. And the spice scenes are definitely spicy. I thought the sweet thing was how all of Dylan’s friends learned sign language to Amara could understand them.
A thrilling rollercoaster ride of paranormal sapphic drama with familial deceit. You will gradually be drawn into a supernatural tale that will have vampires and humans that have acquired something that gives them utter control over dragon shifters. This was a very engrossing book you'll love😘❗ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The hateful Don, the deaf daughter, the tormented vampire, the Russian dragon shifters, all this was a new twist for me that I hadn't encountered before. I loved it. Well done, well written. You should definitely give it a try.
Love the series and again 5🌟's all the way. Intense with rollercoaster emotions, our fated mates finally found eachother. Slow burn until they could start healing after devastating trauma they had to endure.
Trauma often erects the walls that often cause us pain. It takes courage that leads to healing that pain that brings those walls down. Bringing us HEA.
Fanged Secrets was such an enjoyable read and easily pulled me right back into this world. I absolutely loved Amara and Dylan together. Their chemistry was strong, natural, and full of those little moments that make you really root for them. I couldn't help but smile throughout the entire book.
One of my favourite parts was the found family vibe between all the characters; it added so much warmth and depth and made the stakes feel more personal, and the mystery running through the story kept me flying through the pages.
