Bored with my suburban life and cheating husband, Hannah ends up on the wrong side of the tracks...and on the radar of the local Colombian mafia.
Hannah
Burnt out, fed up, overwhelmed, and facing a life and a version of me I don't recognize, I realize my life needs to change.
For me, and my kids.
Life is a matter of choice, and every choice you make - makes you.
When my choices start to rebuild my life into something I love, one of those choices is three new, lethal men.Rio craves control and strength to protect his people and empire, but he’s exhausted from a world of endless violence. When Hannah stumbles into his path, she awakens emotions he’s long buried, promising him the chance at something more than power. If he lets her in, he’ll find the loyalty he’s always desired, but if he doesn’t, he risks being consumed by his enemies—or worse, himself.
Matty has always been Rio’s loyal friend, hiding behind humor and impulsivity to mask his own darkness. Drawn to Hannah’s warmth and strength, he finds himself wanting to be her protector, yearning to prove he’s more than just a mafia soldier. If he succeeds, he’ll discover a love worth fighting for, but if he fails, he might lose the only person who sees his true self.
Santiago is the silent enforcer, a man of few words but unwavering loyalty. Scarred by his past, he’s convinced love is a luxury he can’t afford—until Hannah shows him kindness and acceptance. If he lets her close, he may find healing in her arms, but if he doesn’t, he risks losing the first chance he’s ever had at a real connection.
Together, these four must navigate the dangers of the mafia, the risk of betrayal, and their deepest insecurities to find a love stronger than violence. But in a world ruled by choices, the wrong one could cost them everything.
With three men determined to help me reinvent my life, I have more to live for now than ever. But can they also keep me and my children safe from their enemies?

Reverse Age Gap Mafia Mute MMC He's a virgin Reverse Harem Why Choose Single Mom Protective Alpha Males Found family Morally grey men Light stalking within the harem
What starts with witnessing a murder ends with Hannah having not one, not two but THREE Mafia lovers.
I really enjoyed reading choices. The growth from Hannah being a depressed housewife doesn't know who she is to becoming bad ass woman was exactly how I wanted the book to go. The men showing her kids love was honestly heart touching, and her love for all 3 of the ruthless men was just the kind of romance I needed.
Rio from good girls is who I was picturing as Rico, and I've been waiting for so long for a book like this!!!
I devoured this book like it was my last meal. This why-choose, hot mafia romance with multiple POV had me in its grips from this first chapter. Fast burn, suspense, funny, sweetly romantic, spicy, relatable say-at-home mom as the FMC, and the tears that fell from my eyes scared and shocked my husband multiple times 😊 What can I say, I’m an overly emotional person so he was very concerned. This story is well-written, and I strongly recommend it as your next read.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Reverse age gaps and/or where the fmc's size is a big part of the story are not my thing. A bigger woman with a "lithe" man is definitely not my thing. The story itself was tacky and too far-fetched. This book definitely needed a proofread - quite a few typos (the douchie husband/ex's name went from Alan to Allen, then back to Alan), misused words, not using the correct suffix - Not very consistent. Rico mentioned several times about needing an heir for his empire. But was relived that Hannah's tubes were tied.
There was a big age discrepancy. Which could have been easily fixed had the book been proofread. - In chapter four, Santiago said his mom slit his throat at 16, and that was when he met Rico, who was 20. And they have been together for the past 10 years. Which would put them at 26 and 30. But in chapter nine, Hannah says she's almost 40, and she puts Rico and Matty around her age and Santiago a good ten years younger than her. - Matty also says something along the lines of having a crush on her in high school, then something about to last 10 years. Which would make them (Matty and Hannah) around 28ish. - Chapter seven Hannah states Jack (her youngest) is on the soccer field with the other 5 year olds. But in chapter seventeen says she hasn't had sex since she conceived Jack seven years ago. Last I checked, women aren't pregnant for 2 years.
The constant inner monologue Hannah has regarding her weight and belly was beyond annoying.
Chapter twenty-five, when Hannah gets questioned by the FBI and police, her behavior was just so bazaar, out of place, and beyond cringey. And also where I gave up on this book.
Hannah is a devoted stay-at-home mom of three, living in the suburbs. As time goes on, she begins to recognize that she has been prioritizing everyone else's needs over her own. Her cheater husband, unfortunately, exhibits selfish and unkind behaviors, causing not just her emotional pain but negatively impacting their children as well. His actions have chipped away at her self-confidence and sense of self-worth, leaving Hannah completely unhappy with her life. After meeting Rico, a Mafia boss, in some unusual circumstances, Hannah makes the empowering choice to reclaim her life. She starts to distance herself from her unsupportive parents and confront her husband’s toxic behavior. Along this journey, she forges an unexpected friendship with Rico, Santiago, and Matty. What she doesn't expect is her feelings for all 3 to grow as well. These men treat her with the respect and kindness she truly deserves. They provide her with the support and encouragement she’s been missing, and in return, Hannah offers them understanding and healing from their own childhood traumas. Hannah’s journey of self-discovery and her commitment to making choices for herself is both inspiring and relatable. The way the guys treat her is genuinely heartwarming, and their positive interactions with her children show a beautiful sense of family. Each character has the opportunity to grow into their best selves, with the unwavering support of one another. The writing is thoughtful, the characters are well-developed, and the plot is both solid and realistic. It’s a story that resonates deeply and reminds us of the importance of compassion, connection, and the choices we have when we decide to live for ourselves.
Hannah was in a failing marriage with three kids. She stumbles upon Rico while trying to buy a little bud to find herself again but sees too much. Rico becomes enamored, and she ends up in his world along with his lawyer Matty and made men Santiago. These three help her navigate a new normal while leaving behind her ex-husband and providing for her and her children.
The best way to describe this polyrelationship all points to Hannah as the focal point. Each man fell in love deeply but willing to share her and provide their love to her and the kids in their own ways. The men helped her find herself again and let her blossom back into the flower she always was even after wilting for a bit. From the lovable laugh of Matty to the silent Santiago and the ruling jefe Rico, they surround their new little family with everything that was missing.
Andi did so well showing up Hannah's vulnerability, love for herself and children, and even the darker parts of the story for later when dealing with the villain. Brandon knocked this out of the park for having to voice all three main men who each were not the same. The effort less transition from one guy to the next was smooth enough. I was smirking when you realize it's almost like he's having discussions with himself some of the time. This pairing was a great choice for this story.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟💫/🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧 Format: Audiobook - Duet narration by Andi Eloise and Brandon Francis Series / Standalone: Interconnected Standalone (Ruthless Love Series, Book 1) Tropes: Single Mom, Mafia, Why Choose,
Thanks to the High Gravity Productions and the author for this gifted audiobook - all opinions are my own
I love every one of these characters: **Hannah, the curvy, (married) single mom that found herself in the wrong place at the wrong (or right) time. **Matty - the golden retriever who has been crushing on Hannah since high school **Santiago - the silent, scary, scarred enforcer **Rico - el Jefe who has an instant connection with Hannah and will do anything to keep her
This story was a roller coaster ride with a lot of layers. From Hannah’s cheating husband, to balancing a new polyamorous relationship, and dealing with a rival mafia boss…the drama was non-stop. The theme of choices made or taken away was consistent throughout the story. The addition of a couple extra POVs toward the end was genius. I love an epilogue that hooks you for the next book!
Brandon Francis did an amazing job assigning each of our MMCs unique voices and personalities. The way he made it seemed so easy to change tones and accents was impressive. He even gave us a mechanical voice for Santiago! Andi Eloise was the perfect choice for Hannah. She acted out every emotion so well and truly brought her to life!
Hannah’s a late-30s housewife and mom of 3 in an affluent Washington DC suburb. Hannah’s also realizing she’s compromised every bit of her identity to live the life her cold & unloving parents chose for her. Her husband’s a cheater, who abuses her through neglect, withholding affection, keeping her on a limited allowance, and verbally hurting her. He’s managed to erode her self confidence and sense of self worth. And he’s emotionally abusive to their kids, too.
So, Hannah makes the decision to begin to make deliberate choices about her life. Distance from her parents, confronting her husband’s toxic behavior, and cultivating an unlikely friendship with Rico, Santiago, and Matty.
They treat her the way her husband should have. They help her, support her, encourage her, and appreciate her. In return, she heals them of the fallout from their respective childhood traumas.
I loved this book! I loved how Hannah became so conscious about making deliberate choices and not caring about others’ opinions. I loved how the guys treated her. I loved how they treated her kids. I loved how each character had room to grow into better versions of themselves and had the others’ support while they did that.
Well written, great characters, solid & realistic plot.
I originally read this on KU but bought it after so I can read it again and again. ❤️
This book was very fast paced. I found this book pretty wholesome as far as the relationships go, but with very dark themes. Hannah is so strong and has been through a lot. She’s a great fmc!
The men were so amazing. Sweet and protective from the start…and of course slightly unhinged. The dirty mouth on Rio, omgg I swooned. I loved them all so much.
The plot was great! I really enjoyed how each relationships built separately with Hannah and the kids as well. There were a lot of sweet and emotional moments with some suspense and twists as well! I really enjoyed this book and can’t recommend enough if you love why choose!
LOVED THIS BOOK!!! There were so many things that Hannah was feeling that people can really relate to. I love that she has a moral code and doesn't let things escalate until she's ready. She's strong and is learning to love herself as she is. The "boys" were fabulous - each has their own personality, strengths and weaknesses. It's fun to see them interact with Hannah's kids and become protective over them as well. I think my favorite character is Santiago! There is one part in the book where Matty is explaining her financial situation to her that had me cracking up - I could see her reaction perfectly! My husband thought I was nuts I was laughing so hard. There's another spot that had me laughing as well but I don't want to give spoilers... I wonder if you can figure it out! I really did love this and will read it again!
"Choices" delves into the tumultuous journey of Hannah, a mother feeling suffocated in a loveless marriage. As she struggles to rediscover herself, she encounters people who reignite her zest for life. The book masterfully balances themes of self-discovery, love, and parental bonds, all while navigating the complexities of leaving behind a life that no longer serves her.
Christina Sterling has done it again with "Choices." Rico's hilarious quips about his "crotch goblins" and "fuck trophies" hit close to home—I've used those phrases myself. This book resonates on so many levels, capturing the profound journey of a mom trying to find herself after feeling trapped and lost in a loveless marriage. The characters Rico, Matty, and Santi are the kind of men you wish you could meet. The conversations, like Hannah’s emotional exchange with Aiden, tugged at my heartstrings, showcasing the special bond we share with our children. I’m absolutely in love with this author and highly recommend this book to everyone.
**Tropes and Triggers:** - Tropes: Self-discovery, second chances, single parenthood, found family. - Triggers: Emotional abuse, divorce, parental struggle.
It took me a minute to get into the swing of things, but gosh I’m glad I did. What a stellar performance! Hannah is a fierce mama bear who finally realises her worth, her desire and what she wants in life, even if it isn’t conventional. And oh, my, Lordy - Rico, Santiago and Matty - I need me some dangerous, protective, and head-over-heels mafia men just like these three. I don’t care if they’re morally grey, they are perfection! As a mama bear myself, this pulled at all the heart strings!!! 5 ⭐️ 4 🌶️
oh my! This book was incredible, I will always love a book with why choose🤌🏼 this men in this book they are bad but in a good fine way, my fav definitely was Rico when he speaks Spanish oh my🫠 El mi amor fue a panties melting 😫🤌🏼 But Santiago and Matty ugh I loved them, it was fun and funny with the inside jokes haha and cute. Just reading about how three men fall hard for the curvy and cute single mom with three adorable children 💜

This was a quick, fun read! Suburban house wife meets the Colombian jefe of the mafia and his seconds. This is a spicy, why choose, mafia romance that will pull at your heartstrings. All three men love Hannah with a burning ferocity. All three men provide her with something she needs to feel like a woman, like she is desired and like herself again. With the help of them she is able to blossom out of her nightmarish life and flourish with them. Santi has my heart. You can't convince me otherwise.
I loved this book so much!! M@f!a is my jam but add in a fast burn with it and holy wow!! Hannah and her men have the perfect dynamic and ass in her adorable kids and it’s one big happy family that you didn’t see coming.
Nice and refreshing to finally get a RH where the woman isn’t a perfect little twig. Loved all 3 of the guys personalities and also how they treated the kids. Loved how Hannah transformed! Great read with the perfect amount of spice!
I’m in love with this book! Completely mesmerized by the storyline, the three dangerous yet loving men and the love they all share for one woman. I wouldn’t mind being Hannah. ☺️
I absolutely LOVE this book! The characters are amazing. I laughed so hard during parts. It was amazing! Matty is my favorite stalker mafia man! I think the different personalities really brought out the FMC is a great way. POSH got what was coming to him and Hannah showed she wasn’t an absolute housewife in distress. I love a good strong morally straight FMC who finds morally grey men to love her like the queen she forgot she was! I look forward to future book!
So this was on my fyp, caught my eye started it today and finished it today!! And ohhh my gosh this book is amazing!!! I definitely need more!!! If you love a good why choose and mafia, this book is for you!!!
Rio is the man in charge—powerful, intense, and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Hannah witnesses him kill someone, but instead of fear, there’s undeniable chemistry.
Matty is the smooth, funny lawyer who went to high school with Hannah. He brings balance to the group and always seems to lighten the mood.
Santiago is the enforcer. After having his throat slit at 16, he hasn’t spoken since—but Hannah encourages him to learn sign language so he can have a voice again. That alone melted my heart.
Hannah starts off in a really rough place. She’s in an emotionally abusive marriage with a cheating husband, and she feels like she has nothing going for her outside of her kids. But she’s so open, kind, and genuine—and these three men see that. And they fall for her because of it.
I absolutely loved how they rally around her and try to help her escape her toxic relationship—not just for her, but for her children too. I wasn’t thrilled that she ended up cheating as well, but honestly? I get it. When your husband is a cold-hearted cheater and three incredibly hot, protective, caring men want to show you what real love feels like… what’s a girl to do?
This book completely sucked me in. I wanted more the second it ended. Like seriously… where do I find this kind of love and attention?
Had my husband side-eyeing me and asking why I was giggling. All three of these men turned out to be the book boyfriends I didn’t know I needed. It gave me the vibes of that love story thread in Good Girls—but times three with a why choose twist 😍. The romance, the chemistry, the drama, the suspense…everything clicked perfectly. The narration brought it all to life and made the experience even better.
my first read from this author and very much enjoyed a big mafia reader. Hannha feels so let down with her life she loves her children, but her husband is another matter a bully a controller and never at home. then one night everything changes. Rico the head of the mafia comes into her life. he lets her live and feels as he needs to protect her, and so do his other men Santiago. Matty. this story will take you on a journey Hannha is a very strong character who you will laugh with her and cry with her the men are so hot and will do anything for her an amazing read that keeps you wanting more from this book
All my absolute favorite tropes and this book didn’t disappoint. The pacing was a bit off, however, and that led to some continuity issues. It bounced between past and present tense, which was kinda confusing and the big event that happens wasn’t even shown on page, it just happened, which also leaves some questions that weren’t answered.
It also just didn’t feel like enough. Them finding her and Hannah saving herself felt too easy and quick. She wasn’t even there an HOUR. Quick and easy.
The romance was nice, as was the spice, but the book itself needed … more? I guess.
Was this amazing? No. Did I enjoy it anyway? Yep. It was fun to read about a tired, stressed mum of 3 being spoiled and loved and dicked down by 3 mafia dudes. Her husband was a piece of shit, he was neglectful, emotionally abusive (to her and the kids too) and a cheating asshole and then physically abusive when she asked for the divorce.
There’s some cute moments with the guys and her kids, some mafia stuff and a HEA.
Something that bothered me tho- they never had a safety talk before sleeping together. She had her tubes tied so they all went bare from the off but no talk or reassurance of being clean. One of the H was a virgin and the other 2 weren’t described as manwhores if I remember correctly but still, eww. She hasn’t slept with her husband since she got pregnant with her youngest who was 5 🙄 but she knows he’s been cheating on her for longer so extra eww that they didn’t discuss safety. Idc how much reality I already had to suspend to believe this 30 something soccer mom ended up with a hot mafia boss and his 2 buddies and they all lived HEA I need to see the safety convo on page.
-Multi pov -Why choose with no mm (MFMM) -Mafia boss, enforcer and lawyer mmcs -h30 something? H’s 30 somethings too?? And one of them was 20’s? The age shit was so vague so I can’t be accurate. -Instalove -No owd at all 👏🏻 -omd- her pos husband but the guys take care of him and he signs the divorce and stays away from her and the kids -No third act breakup -HEA she doesn’t want to get married again but she asks them to adopt her kids officially

Christina has such a way with words and makes the story flow so effortlessly you breeze from one chapter to the next without realizing how many hours have passed. I loved this story so much. Hannah’s husband sucked and I couldn’t wait for her to meet her harem. Luckily it didn’t take long. And the instant connection and past connection made me so giddy. From the extremely funny names the men called the kids in the beginning to the way they love them at the end was perfect. My heart was full. I love how Aiden was old enough and put two and two together about his parents then how he grew and wanted what was best for his mom. I loved how Rico, Matthew and Santi all had a specific role to play. And each man was perfect in every way! They absolutely make the perfect harem and Dads. I can’t wait to see where book 2 goes, and with who!
So...how do we get our own Mafia men? Is there an application? Are we writing letters to Santa? This book was awesome!! I loved the FMC...she wasn't a doormat, she was timid after years of emotional, mental and financial abuse at the hands of her POS husband. The guys...fucking🔥🔥I don't know who I loved more. I would definitely do a re-read of this book in the future
