I thought I had MC romance down pat but OH. MY. GOD!! Mia Fury has brought us an MC book like no other I’ve ever read!! And if this is how book one has floored me, then god help me for the rest of this deliciously depraved series!!!

There are a number of triggers in this read, and being a widow of suicide this was my Achilles heel. But as with everything else Mia Fury does, she has dealt with every trigger with the utmost respect, empathy and understanding. It’s obvious she’s poured her heart and soul into this book and in my opinion has gone that extra mile, as she always does, when portraying anything remotely triggering.

If you want something clean and orderly this isn’t the book for you. Because this book is chock full of raw emotions, intense situations and more depth than you thought possible.

This book wastes no time in pulling you in and making you the most willing prisoner ever!!! I could have easily stayed with this dysfunctional group till the end of time. I like that Mia has given us an MC romance in all its depravity and luminescent colours, there are no rose coloured glasses here and believe me, it adds an edge you won’t want to miss!!

I loved all these yummy men of the MC. Their brotherhood strong and true. Each one of these men are total dominant, alpha males, skirting both sides of right and wrong but trust me, that just makes them bad and oh so more appealing.

Ryder is a wonderfully dominant man. He’s raw and beautifully delicious. He values the family bond of the MC brotherhood. The way he meets Tori is as depraved and twisted as it comes but boy does it pack a punch. Watching him drift through a myriad of painful and heart wrenching emotions was painful. I wanted to reach through the pages and hold him tight so he knew he wasn’t alone.

I think Mia portrayed this situation so well. Situations such as this are very rarely seen from a male point of view and I found it eye opening and truly enlightening.

Tori is a complicated woman, yet I found her surprisingly endearing. She’s a woman who has endured the worst thing imaginable. She was manipulated and left alone to pick herself up and do her best to hide from the evil she knew was still hunting for her. My heart ached for her pain and the way it twisted her life. It’s so sad and heartbreaking to watch her be the evil person, the shell that remained from her pain and tragedy.

I don’t necessarily like the way Tori went about things, but in some weird way I can understand the need for control and punishment. She’s surviving the only way she knows how and whether I agree with her methods or not I have to admire the strength it takes for her to simply survive, alone and with no support.

This is a beautifully depraved read, full of depth and raw emotions that will knock you on your backside.

Well done Mia Fury. I can’t wait to read the next in the series!!!

So many stars it’s simply impossible to count

When Mia announced she was writing a MC series, I couldn’t wait and I knew she’d do an absolutely incredible job and this book did not disappoint once.

Book one in the Phoenix MC series sees Ryder wake up with what he presumes is an awful hangover, but there’s so much more to it and it leads to a series of events that changes life for both Ryder and the club as they know it.

This was such a great introduction into this MC world and I can’t wait to fully discover everything about these characters. You can already see how great the bond is within the club.

Mia continually builds worlds that I end up fully obsessed with. Her books are so unique and so full of emotions, you won’t be able to put them down.

Ryder loves his life in the MC and his family and brothers, but he struggles to come to grips with what has happened to him and his new feelings for Tori. Tori was such a complex character and I loved how their story developed.

I already feel like a part of this family and I know I’m going to love every single second of this ride.

Cool Ryder...

So before I get to my review on Ryder. I want to STRESS that you need to read the triggers page. This book deals with sa and it might be too much for some people.

I discovered Mia Fury with the Deadly Obsessions series she did with Chelle Rose. If you haven't read it yet, definitely recommend it. She has quickly become one of my favorite dark romance authors.

This new series, Phoenix MC, she gives a taste of dark sexy alpha male bikers meeting their match in the old ladies they want. She has set the bar high with the first book, RYDER. This is a dark emotional bike ride into Tori and Ryder's dark twitsted love story.

Their story is not your ideal love story. It is a dark, unstable, twitsted love story. They both go through something that forms a connection between them.

I have to say that reading this, I began to worry about both their physical and mental health. The trauma is very bad and the way they handle it is very questionable.

I have to give Ryder props for how he over looks Tori's past actions. How he is willing to do whatever it takes to make her safe and comfortable in his home.
The spicy scenes between these two is something I did not see coming. It is very hot, hot, hot!!!

Now, Mia Fury, does give me a sneek peak into the next book in the series. I am dying to know what is going on between Reacher and Alicia in their story. I have a feeling she is not going to make it easy for him.

I wasn't sure what to expect. This was my first MC book. I also read the triggers and author info. The author explained she was British and some of the words were used by the British. I ended up pulling an all nighter I couldn't put the book down. This book was fantastic, it is full of action, I understood every word and I think the British words just made the book. This author is amazing, I was pulled right into the story. I just kept reading and reading. It was very steamy, but that is how MC books are. I loved it. The characters were amazing, the loyalty of the MC club, just left me speechless. It was so well written. Honestly if I could give her more than 5 stars I would. She now has a new fan. I can't wait to read the next book!!!!!!!

I have loved all of Mia's books but she has outdone herself with Ryder. She has a way of pulling you into another world. The Phoenix Motorcycle Club is no exception. Ryder is a tough, rough biker but goes through something that shows his emotions and his brothers are supportive through it all. She is great at writing complex characters that show their good and bad sides. Every character has an angel and a devil on their shoulder. Tori comes off as a villain but she may be the ultimate victim. I am excited to meet the rest of the characters in this series.

Mc with a different vibe

WOW what a ride. Trauma bonding for sure. It was a good book. Wish there was more about the MC life aside that they rode motorcycles. I felt bad for Tori but really disliked her by the end of the book. She kept going on that she loved Ryder and would do anything for him but kept putting his life in danger to please her. Instead of her seeking help and healing some other way. Excited for book two but hope it doesn't repeat Tori's selfishness.

This was an excellent book. I cannot even start to imagine waking up to no memory of what happened to you. I like how the 'Brothers' all stepped up to help and support Ryder. That is what family is all about. You don't have to be a blood member. Family is family. The book was hard to put down; it was gripping and held your attention from cover to cover.

What a great start to the series

This book was beyond unexpected. Ryder's story twists the limits of morally grey. Thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend.

Heartbreak, healing, and loads of love.

Be sure to read those TWs tho'. They're there for a reason.

1st Book in the Phoenix MC series

Holy Viag-Ecstasy, Mind Blown

This was a fast-paced read. The beginning starts off rough for Ryder and goes horribly south, lol. I'm thinking Oooo an MC storyline, Sons of Anarchy popped into my head. I start reading Ryder and was totally blown away, shocked 😲 I love the personality of Tori and her Sass, the way this story starts and how it ends, I LOVE IT and I'm here for the next book with Reacher and Alicia. BUCKLE UP EVERYONE YOUR GONNA NEED IT!!!!
5-STAR READ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had this book sitting on my Kindle and I was looking for something new to read after re-reading a series! I’m not normally a fan of MC books, but I was intrigued by this one! After reading, I can say that I found myself enjoying this book the more it progressed and it only took me a few sittings to read because I was very invested! The plot dealt with a lot of different issues and there was a lot in it! There was romance in the plot and it was a kind of messed up romance in a way because of how the characters met! I did like how the romance developed and the sex scenes were different to what I’ve read before! There was also a bit of action and suspense to keep the plot interesting and it did keep me wanting to read on and find out what was going to happen! The characters were also amazing and did make the plot better! Tori was the main female character, and in this book she did things that honestly repulsed me! I guess I understood her more when I found out her backstory and what she had been through, but it didn’t excuse what she did! Tori did learn a lot about herself as the plot progressed though! Ryder was the main male character and love interest of Tori! Ryder went through something that I haven’t read about from a male character’s perspective before, so that was interesting! He was also part of an MC club and this meant that he had to act a certain way and be tough! Ryder cared about Tori and he wanted her to be comfortable with him and he was able to help her, even as he went through a lot! This book was written from both Tori and Ryder’s point of views! I was hoping that it was going to be before I started reading and the synopsis gives the impression that it’s going to be! I’m really happy that it was because it helped me connect more with both characters and understand them more! It allowed for more things to happen in the plot as well, which helped as Tori and Ryder didn’t spend every second of the plot together and they went through some situations by themselves! I now can’t wait to read the next book in this series! I know that it’s going to focus on secondary characters from this book, but they were intriguing characters, so I can’t wait to read their story! The next book has already released, so I’ll definitely be making it my next read! I can’t wait to check out author’s other books as well! The cover for this book does suit it and it suits the MC feel of the plot! I do love it, but I'm not sure if it would draw me to the book if I saw it! I mean I'm very really happy it did make me read the series because I'm excited to continue it!

Leave it to Mia Fury to take a standard genre and turn it on its head. In Book 1 of the Phoenix MC we meet Ryder who wakes into a world very changed by circumstances, and that sets up things for the rest of the book, and sends ripples through the club as a whole.

She has a deft way of tackling triggers which is both delicate and yet honest. I can honestly say I have never read a book quite like this, and the uniqueness made it all the better. As steamy as the story can be, there is a deepness as well, and a story developing well beyond the romance.

And lets not forget the female main, Tori. This is a character just built to be loved and hated and so genuinely human. She’s wonderful in all her messy glory. Watching the mistakes she makes and why, the way she grows, the choices she makes – Mia developed a very interesting woman in Tori.

This book is not for the faint of heart, and mind those trigger warnings. This is MC dark romance with a lot going on, but it’s SO worth the ride!

I have to admit, I don’t read a lot of dark romance, but I do enjoy Mia Fury’s writing. I loved the way she was able to relay the close relationships between the members of the biker’s gang and their unending support of each other. Showing them banning together was not only necessary for the story, but it gave a little insight into each of their individual personalities… a great way to get the reader invested in the other characters’ books.

Tori, bless her, had some hardcore baggage, but the lengths that Ryder was willing to take to help her get past it showed how deep his feeling ran. What woman wouldn’t want a man who would go to the ends of the earth for her?

This book ventured into territory I wasn’t expecting, but that’s what I love about this author. She isn’t afraid to push the boundaries.

Ryder, Mia Fury: Great beginning to a MC Series!!!!
I love a good MC series and Mia outdid herself, this is a MC book that is unlike all others! The things that happened to Ryder that he has no memory of, and the trauma that he went through trying to remember was AMAZING. That is the story and how he overcame the trauma.
I’m still not sure what I think of Tori, but I do think that her and Ryder belong together. I love how he will do anything for his girl. The other thing that Mia did incredibly is describe the brotherhood of the MC. That they are family and will do anything for each other, no matter what.
Please read the TWs, this book has some!!!! If you can get past the major theme of the book and read it as the trauma that happened to him and what that meant and did to him, you’ll see it’s a great book.

Mia Fury is my new favorite MC writer. Like Holy smoking tire!! Lol
Now I need more like an addict that can't find the right fix. UGH.
Dang do you take the MC Motorcycle to a whole new level for anyone to match. In my view anyway. That's a high bar that you raised that will be hard to beat.
The emotional and soulful way you have written this with such great devastation, is priceless.
The brotherhood and men are just untouchable with how great they all are with sticking together.
Ryder. . I don't even know where to begin, other than you'll have to read to find out.
And Tori, what a strong and fast standing FMC.

Wow, is this a truly powerful story by Mia Fury.
If you have triggers you should read the forward to check, but this dark MC romance is twisted in a delicious way. Ryder must come to terms with what has been done to him and reconcile this with the person who did it.
Ryder is a really strong, powerful character and I certainly followed his journey intently in this riveting book.
Tori is a person tormented and this causes her life to derail in so many ways.
Can the main characters in this book overcome all the darkness surrounding them to truimph?
There are so many unexpected twisted to this book. OMG, so many!

To be truthful, I didn't quite connect with Tori in this book. Although she claims to love Ryder, she continuously puts him in dangerous situations to satisfy her own needs. Tori often comes off as self-centered. That said, the numerous plot twists captivated me, and I enjoyed each one! The entire story kept me engaged from start to finish. The bond among the motorcycle gang members is truly one of loyalty and support. I genuinely loved the narrative and am eager to continue the series to see what unfolds for Tori and the brotherhood! Mia, your writing is remarkable—I thoroughly enjoyed it. Just a heads up, be sure to check for trigger warnings before diving into this read!

If I could give it a minus rating, I would. Firstly, as a fellow brit, I expected more british-isms...

Also, my brain just can't get past the fact that Ryder was raped by Tori, yet he is jacking off over the phone to her while she gets off.

Each to their own I suppose. There are trigger warnings, but my brain just couldn't get past that. It's like rape wasn't so serious in the book, and it's fine because he got a boner for his rapist.

While I get rape fantasies are a kink. It's not my cup of tea. The disfunctions of falling in love with a rapist was not my idea of a good story. The writing was excellent but the story was not for me.

This book is so messed up. The fmc literally grapes the mmc in the beginning. He obviously feels all the emotions that anybody else would feel from getting graped but somehow down the road, they end up falling in love and have a hea. Nope! that’s so fucked up.

The book starts with the morning after Ryder has been raped (by a woman) with a combination of roofies and Viagra, and remembers nothing.

Turns out the rapist is Tori, the FMC and Ryder's later love interest.

Nope, not for me. l

Absolutely disgusting. Disgraceful that a female would write this and claim it as a trauma bond. It’s abuse and I revoke your woman card. As someone who has been raped, and attended meetings with men who were, yeah no. F&cking disgusting you are.
