Amelia Storm #14

Storm's Endgame

Rate this book
The last act has begun…

A week ago, a woman’s body was found in a park. A day later, images of her death surfaced on the dark web. A snuff film depicting the horror of her final moments.

The murder was shocking. The video was worse.

Now, a second victim has been found. And yet another film is spreading.

FBI Special Agent Amelia Storm has seen horror before, but this case is different. Too calculated. Too performative. Too real. With her former case partner—and now lover—back at her side, she’s racing to unmask the monster behind the camera before he casts his next victim.

But this isn’t just about murder. It’s about the spectacle. The audience. The performance.

The killer’s been watching from afar. Waiting for revenge. And now, he wants Amelia to be his final leading lady.

From the wickedly dark minds of Mary Stone and Amy Wilson comes Storm’s Endgame, book fourteen of the Amelia Storm FBI Series, proving there’s no expiration date on settling old scores.

exsanguinated victim, after victim, after victim

A body dump, the victim not yet decomposing nor populated by insects, eerily resembling another victim both in physical appearance and relative geographic proximity.

Who and why becomes clear, as the self-styled artiste reveals his multi/pronged goal, and careful investigation uncovers where and when..

STORM'S ENDGAME is the fourteenth installment in the Amelia Storm Series by Mary Stone and Amy Wilson, and it's another winning page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Once you start reading, make sure you have plenty of time to get lost in this intense FBI thriller.

Amelia Storm and her team successfully closed a case of deadly arson with the occupants trapped inside, when they are asked to help in investigating bodies being left in city  parks and featured in snuff-films on the Dark Web. At the same time, it appears that Zane's CIA assignment in Russia is coming for retribution with him.  Amelia and her family are the honored guests of this deadly reunion.

I really enjoyed this book and the entire series, which were always well-written, exciting, and intense not to forget page turning. The collaboration between these two authors has been amazing. I recommend reading the entire riveting series.

Honestly, in one way or another, I have enjoyed all of the series with Mary Stone's name on them. You can always count on engaging and  gripping plots with an exciting ending.

I received a copy of this book from the author, and this is my honest review. Now, for the next book.

Amelia Storm FBI and her team are back in a case, a pretty sick case. These criminals, I know they are people but where and how did they lose their humanity? Now unknown to Amelia and Zane her FBI boyfriend, they are the ones that may be targeted in this latest sick crime. You'll have to read the book to find out if this is this Amelia and possibly Zane's Endgame? I hope not.

I have loved each one of the books in this series. It's like you get to know them and you get to catch up on their lives in each book. If you love Murder, Mysteries and FBI or law enforcement books you will love these books. In fact everyone of Mary's books have been wonderful to read. I now have a good friend and my Granddaughter loving them and buying them.

Someone is taking past drug addicts off the street, torturing them by slitting their throats, draining them of their life blood and depositing them in small parks around Chicago. Of course the FBI is called in especially when snuff films are discovered on the dark web of these horrendous crimes. As Amelia & Zane, along with their colleagues, rush to discover and apprehend the unsub, it turns extremely personal for them both. Can they catch them in time or will the loss of life be more than either can handle.

Wow what a twisted tale. Zane's prior life as a CIA agent is about to come crashing into his current life. He and Amelia are on the trail of a serial killer who is making snuff films about his victims. Sick, sick, and more sick. As the details begin to materialize and emerge about the phantom they are facing a sickening awareness begins to form in Zane's mind. Suddenly, everyone he loves is in danger. That includes Amelia's family. This is a great plot with some serious losses and a great ending. Can't ask for more! Great read and a great ending to another really great series.

I read this book in one sitting. I went through the pages like a “tornado through Midwest”. I love Amelia and her heroic actions. This time her team fights Russian villain, whose intentions are well hidden , till local cop helps. His horrific crimes leave no leads and at the end it affects not only Amelia, but her family too. The plot is again unique and the book is full of thrilling actions and surprises. Magnificent ending of the series. Thank you Mary. Your writing is brilliant. Please never stop! 🥰Lida

This is a wonderful series!! These authors know how to draw a reader in and keep you there reading late into the night. As the agents are trying to find the culprit who is killing addicts/former addicts and posting videos of the killing, it comes to light that both Amelia and Noah are targeted. The storyline captures the reader so much so that you feel like you are in there with the characters. There was heartbreak before the villain was brought down, but the ending was wonderfully written.

A body is found in a park followed by the snuff film documenting her death. Before the FBI team can investigate, another murder happens. Amelia Storm & her team, including her boyfriend Zane Palmer, rush to find the murderer before more deaths occur. However, more is at stake. It turns out Zanes’s past from Russia is about to catch up with him, using Amelia as bait. Can they get him in time? A fast paced read that won’t disappoint

I love this series! Its such an easy read, but does a good job of keeping you interested. In this one, Zane’s past in the CIA come back to haunt him and Amelia’s family gets caught in the crosshairs as well. Based on the name, the closer I got to the end of the book, I really thought Zane and Amelia were walking into a trap and that was going to be the end of them. I hated that Amelia’s dad was killed, but was glad Lainey survived. I also loved the deepening of Amelia and Zane’s relationship.

Well, that’s it. I’ve finished the 14 books series & one would think I’d be ready to just jump to something else but this series was so well written, every book just flowed to the next, I liked the characters, the story’s, I just loved everything about it. If she had written 10 more I’d be starting the 15th book tonight. I’m going to have to start more of her series, bc I just think her books are chefs kiss!

Former Acquaintance

Amelia, Zane and the FBI had taken over a case from the Chicago Police Department. A serial killer had made Chicago his home. Two women had been brutally murdered and a video of that murder was put on the dark web. This was too close to home for Amelia and her family. Fascinating read with lots of action.

Perfect Ending!

This was the perfect ending to this awesome series. It was sad yet Lainey's resilience, Amelia and Zane's love and the amazing FBI team came full circle in this finale. Kudos once again to the authors!

A former Russian mob member turned a serial killer.

A serial killer making videos of his crimes, to let his fans see what he's doing, I don't know the murders aren't horribly imaginative, and the connection to FBI agents are kind of dubious, not a thriller.

The End?

I understand that Amelia's ,family and Zane, husband to be, have reached a turning point, but I'll be sad to see them leave Mary Stone's literary work and us readers will miss our character friends. Am I making sense? Oh well, bye Amelia and Zane.

Storms are a coming Russian style.

Her books are fabulous. Love finally comes to Amelia even after all the death around her. They finally figure out the Russian was after Zane not Amelia but after he kills her father and drugs her sister they take him down.
