Why did you have to go and burrow your way into our hearts? Is that why the stars aligned? Is that why we couldn’t live a day without you?
Our Sunday. Axel’s Little Lamb. Darius’s Wildflower. My baby girl.
You may think this is the first time you have fallen into our lives, but for us it’s been years.
Years of pining. Years of following. Years of longing.
But now, after all this time, you’re finally safe. Except…something isn’t right.
Fate is still tugging you towards danger. Leading you into the underbelly of this corrupt town. Shoving you towards the last secret we’re keeping from you.
And when you figure it out, when the ugly truth comes to light, please don’t run away again. Because now that we know we can have a future with you? We will never let you go.
~~~ This is book two in the Star-Crossed duet and will wrap up the main story. There will eventually be a companion told from the brothers' POV. This is an MFMM, please read the TWs.
DNF 20 percent. read on to see why especially since I read the first book and gave it a three.
okay, can someone clear something up for me? Is the writing in this one much worse? I felt like I had whiplash. the scenes are choppy and jump all over the place. We finally start to get an explanation of what has been going on and the author "yada yadas" it. Then the weird pov? First person for Sunday and third for everyone else? Darius does this, Darius does that. There is no way I'm misremembering liking the last book enough to have saved it same day to read when this came out.
Also, I have a slight memory of Sunday being super awful and annoying and making HORRIBLE decisions, but I what is going on with the panic attack when a guy isn't nice to her? she could be in overload mode, fair. The scene though is so drastic and ridiculous.
The icing on the cake for me though was that by 20 percent in I've read "eyes darkened" like 6 times, and eyes swirled what 3? Again it's editing choices but it makes this book hard to get into, and I just wanted to like it because the concept was very cool.
The second book of this duet. Read the first prior, as you need to understand where the story goes.
Sunday, is still unsure about her fate. The purple threads she sees pull her in one direction but amongst those she sees white and red, which will she follow? The guys are doing their best to protect her, however, Darius is black mailed by his father into taking his rightful place by his side. We are drawn into their world once more, will the stars be kinder this time? Or has fate dealt a lasting blow to them all?
“𝐼𝓉'𝓈 𝒶𝓈 𝒾𝒻 𝐼 𝒶𝓂 𝒻𝓊𝓁𝒻𝒾𝓁𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓈𝑜𝓂𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓈𝓂𝒾𝒸 𝒻𝒶𝓉𝑒”
Sage has a way of writing her stories that just pull you in and keep you there, the intrigue, the little twists you don’t see, the heartache within this story all make for one great read.
See what I did there? If not, go read book 1, Her Day To Die, then come back here and you'll giggle a little. Not Her Day To Die was a wild ride! We got our HEA, but Sage put us through our paces to get there! I loved it! The twists, the passion, the sacrifices, oh my! I didn't know how Sunday was going to handle the battles she kept facing, but the O'Brians never let her down. The connection, the literal connection, was surprising to explore in a good way. This was a rollercoaster and, as always, I enjoy how Sage tears us apart and then puts us back together again.
♡ARC READ♡ What a way to end the Star Crossed duet!! It was an absolute ride that I enjoyed Every. Single. Second. Of! The small town that Sunday, Grayson, Axel, and Darius live in is absolutely horrible. Atrocious. I felt bad for every parent who was told to leave or turn a blind eye. The guys and Sunday are quite literally on a mission during the entire book, and it's so worth it by the end! If y'all haven't read anything by Sage yet.. you should! She writes differently, but IT JUST WORKS. The second book drops on July 26th! So go and read Her Day to Die before it drops! It's worth it! Who doesn't love a small town mystery!?
You all need to read this duet immediately! I don’t have the words to describe how absolutely amazing it is.
You just get sucked in from the very first line and from then on the emotions hit you.
I was rooting for Sunday and the O’Brien brothers to get their happily ever after, but boy did they go through it in both books 🥺 It was torture watching them put up such a fight to be free. I felt so bad for Grayson, Axel and Darius having to watch Sunday die so many times and knowing that they all loved her. I was a wreck in both books.
I loved the ending to this duet. It is such a unique story that you never want to let go of.
My Rating: 3 ⭐⭐⭐ Series Status: Complete duet that actually stuck the landing — dark, weird, and kind of wholesome in its own twisted way.
We Have: ✅ MMMF romance ✅ Why choose ✅ Paranormal elements amped up ✅ Dubcon / coerced situation (consensual between them, but forced by circumstance) ✅ Mystery ✅ Mental-health rep ✅ Darker healing arc ✅ The boys being soft chaos ✅ No MM (tragic) ✅ Decent smut that smutted when it counted ✅ A satisfying HEA
This one had me locked in. The story was solid as hell - layered, emotional, and built on that clever premise from book one. The PNR threads pulled tighter, the answers actually made sense, and the whole thing kept me turning pages like a gremlin needing closure. The FMC finally stopped fighting herself (mostly), the boys were still delicious, and I was fully invested in how it all wrapped. The concept as a whole was fucking fascinating.
The smut… listen. It wasn’t constant, but when it hit, it hit. Yummy, satisfying, and worth the wait. You know I ALWAYS want more buuuuuut it delivered when it mattered and I’ll take that as a win. There’s one scene — a dubcon / coerced situation with a big-ass twist - that completely short-circuited my brain in the best possible way. It was uncomfortable, hot, and morally confusing all at once. I didn’t know I liked that until this book told me I did, and now I need to sit with myself for a bit. My twisted mind was thriving, but also… girl, therapy.
The pacing stayed tight, no wasted chapters, no whiplash jumps — just straight emotional chaos and satisfying resolution. The ending actually gave me the HEA I wanted, which feels illegal for a story this dark.
Overall, this duet is a fantastic palate cleanser for anyone who wants something shadowy and strange to shake off a book hangover. It’s clever, chaotic, and a little filthy — exactly the kind of story that makes you question your morals while highlighting passages like a proud degenerate.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars Spice: 5/5 – Intense, emotional, and absolutely filthy Genre: Dark Romance | Reverse Harem | Psychological Thriller | Healing through vengeance and love
“She was never meant to be saved. She was meant to be worshipped—even by the monsters who helped her burn it all down.”
If Her Day to Die was a descent into rage, revenge, and survival, Book 2 is the slow, brutal ascent—into healing, reckoning, and the kind of love that only comes after you’ve clawed your way out of hell.
This book picks up with Sunday still bleeding from her past—inside and out. But now, she’s not alone. Axel, Darius, and Grayson are still beside her, scarred and dangerous in their own right. This story isn’t about saving her anymore—it’s about figuring out the chaos together. The loops. The lies. The betrayals. The twisted web of violence and power that made her into what she is. And damn, it was so satisfying to watch all the pieces fall into place.
Sage Relleanne masterfully weaves plot and emotion here. You’re not just reading a story—you’re unraveling a puzzle alongside the characters. Every reveal hit hard. Every twist made my stomach flip. And every time I thought I had things figured out, Sage reminded me that this world doesn’t play fair—but it plays real.
But let’s be honest—we need to talk about the spice. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 This book is reverse harem done right. The chemistry between Sunday and each of the O’Brien brothers is next-level. Axel is the bruised protector with a dangerous edge. Darius is the emotionally complex shadow you can’t quite pin down. And Grayson? A beautiful, broken chaos of devotion and violence. Together, they don’t just love Sunday—they worship her. Every scene is drenched in intensity, and the sex is both feral and cathartic, layered with everything they’ve been through. It’s possessive. It’s raw. It’s real.
And what made it even better? Watching Sunday finally let herself be loved. Watching her choose them, not just survive them. There’s so much healing in these pages, but it doesn’t come clean—it comes soaked in blood, sweat, and forgiveness.
Tropes & Themes: • Reverse harem (FMMM) • Found family through trauma • Mystery/suspense with plot twists • Enemies-to-allies-to-lovers • “You belong to us” energy • Twisted soulmates • Finally getting that hard-earned HEA • Trauma recovery through devotion, obsession, and sex
The ending? Perfectly brutal and beautiful. There’s no bow tied on this story—but there is peace. There’s firelight instead of flames. There’s love that came at a cost—but they paid it. Together. Sunday earned her happy ending, and watching her stand in it, surrounded by the men who would burn the world for her, was worth every single page of pain it took to get there.
If you loved the first book, this one is your reward. Your reckoning. Your resurrection.
And you’re going to feel every second of it.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This duet series was intense. In such a great way.
I can honestly say I have NEVER read a book like this. The concept of it was done so well. Reading through books one and two I honestly thought it would get too repetitive or not make sense.
NOPE. It all tied in perfectly. Book two starts right where book one left off.
I couldn't even guess the next part. It was secret after secret and when everything started to be revealed I was sitting here like 😲
The book has some spice in it, to really show the intimacy between the characters and keep the story flowing.
I can't wait to read more of Sage RelleAnne's work. So good.
I ugly cried reading this book. There so much more than the first book and I was not ready for it! There more smut, a lot more drama, and death. Ugh I wasn't ready for some of them. I hate love this book. I love it because I know what happened to Summer and the brothers, but I hate it because of how the parents just did not care at all for their kids. I wanted to shake all of them, even Summers parents. They all needed a reality check! This book does have a lot of dark parts so please read trigger warning. Because I wasn't ready for some parts, but I felt like it made you more emotional. This does end on a HEA, which I loved that ending. I loved this duet so much!!
4.5 stars this review might have spoilers this is a part of a duet so you should read the first one which is her day to die I just received an arc by the author and I couldn't wait any longer I really really loved this book, you will get a lot of twists and turns and betrayals I seriously couldn't decide which one of the guys is my favorite like axel with his fierceness or dairus with his sacrifice 🥺 or Grayson with how he is the responsible one or how he calls her babygirl I just melt like he is talking to me but your heart will break in this book but it will also mend it together and thank God there is no misunderstanding in this book and they actually communicate but I really wished if we could see more of the past timeline and how the brothers fell in love with her but I guess it's best this way
That ending! Omg! What an absolute rollercoaster that I enjoyed Every. Single. Second. Of! Sunday, Grayson, Axel, and Darius live in such an absolute horrible town! I truly felt bad for every parent! Truly an adventure that our lovable foursome go through during the entire book, and it's so worth it!!! If y'all haven't read anything by Sage yet, let this be your sign to go read something now!
What a rollercoaster of emotions leading to a powerful ending. Book two starts where book one ends with Sunday bruised and broken and the O'Brien boys there to keep her safe. They start to unravel the mystery and Sunday knows what she must do. More twists and turns lead Sunday and the guys to figure out what is happening to the town behind the scenes.
This picks up right where book one left off so if you haven’t read it yet, you definitely need to!
The twists. The drama. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And like a typical Sage book, it took me through all the emotions. 😂
I loved this. I loved really getting to see Sunday’s relationship with each of her men get to truly bloom. I’m still at a loss on deciding who my favorite brother is. 😂
Book 2 of the Star-Crossed Book Duet, Not Her Day To Die is a why choose dark romance and was even better than what I expected. You have to Read book 1, Her Day To Die or you'll be so lost.
At the end of book 1, Sunday and Darius finds themselves beating the moment she was supposed to die, but in return Darius is now taken away and Sunday will stop at nothing to reunite with him.
Sunday has finally made it through her 99th death and is now facing challenges of the continuous loop she has been in since the death of her brother and first love. In the process of healing from the gunshot wound she finds herself drawn to these lighted strings that are either purple or red.
She figures out she has to not only trust Greyson, Axel and Darius, no more keeping secrets, but also follow the pull towards these lights. They are so protective of her and have tried to save her but failed 99 times and can't take it any longer.
She finally gives into the fact it has been years since the deaths of her brother and boyfriend and that she is in love with her dead boyfriends' three brothers, who are in love with her too.
Sunday has to figure out how not to die, save Darius, the missing girls and the town from the evil family running it, and most importantly her relationship with the O’Brien brothers. She is done dying and it ends with her taking down the Thornes. The only way she can do this is to be the bait and not make the same mistakes that lead her to her previous deaths.
I thought book 1 was amazing, but book 2 topped it. I loved the relationship between Sunday and the brothers. You could feel their emotions through the words of how much she means to them and the length they would go to protect her. They are the perfect balance of what she needs and she is what pulls them all together.
Sage is it possible to give more than 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because you deserve all the stars! The spice hits hard in this read! Sunday has her fill of the OBrien's brothers in the most steamy ways 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶.
I love the first book, and I loved the second book even more. If you waited all through the first one for the spice this one definitely brings the heat.
Sunday is definitely a complex character, she embodies the typical teenager but then because of what she went through she also has very adult qualities as well. I think that Sage did her justice with how she wrote her character. at times I wanted to pull my hair out with how much I was yelling st her not to do that, but somehow it all worked out in the end.
I loved all her men for different reasons. and this was one of those RH that I totally couldn't pick a favorite MMC.
Axel- he has been wronged by the world and he is angry. But he shows his soft side for Sunday (its a gruff soft but soft none the less) He is also the first to choose her and know that she will be his
Darius- my sweet sunshine boy, he has such a soft spot, and when you learn the twist about him it makes his sunshine all that much better, I couldn’t get enough of him.
Grayson- He had to be the adult, and take care of all the people he loves, he had to put all his wants and needs off to the side, and he did this time and time again because he didn't think that he deserved to be happy and get what he wanted. But he finally has a safe space with his girl. she sees him for him, and doesn't let him just walk away. she forces him to see that he deserves happiness just as much as the rest of them.
This book will alway have a special place in my heart. The first book it was so unique and difficult from what I had ever read at the time and this one continues on in that journey.
What to expect Enemies to lovers Why choose dark romance Forced proximity Human tr@fficing Forced exhibitionism RH (fmmm) Age gap Trauma Secrets Found family Twisted soul mates
“She was never meant to be saved. She was meant to be worshipped, even by monsters who helped her burn it all down.”
“There are worse outcomes than death, Sunday.”
“I would swallow every lost drop of your pain. Even if it would kill me. You know that don’t you? As long as I am by your side, you don’t need to suffer. Let me take it from you.”
“You are the stupid girl that kept running headfirst into danger.”
“It’s easier to not overthink when all my effort is put into allowing air in and out of my lungs.”
Who doesn’t love a small town mystery? This had me on the edge of my seat guessing what would happen next. Cause I could never guess! The twist and turns and the emotions that this put me through! I devoured this book! And man, what a freaking ride! This is the conclusion to the star crossed duo. And so worth the read. When I say Sage Relleanne is an auto buy author, there’s a reason why! Her writing is so captivating, and sucks you into the world! And the Spice! I love it I’m always hooked in her stories! Book 2 takes us right where her day to die left off, but now Sunday isn’t alone suffering through the pain. They’re all damaged and try to navigate the suffering pain, lies and betrayals. It was so beautiful to see how The violence and power made Sunday who she is today was riding the roller coaster with no hands! Loved the journey! Sage tied everything together. I 💯 recommend this duet but further want to add anything by Sage Relleanne.
I want to start by saying if you have not read Her Day to Die yet, go back and read it before you read Not Her Day to Die. It is crucial to truly understand what is going on and knowing the full story leading up to this one.
If you thought the first book in the Star-Crossed duet had you on the edge of your seat, prepare to be flung right out of your seat with Not Her Day to Die! This book delivered on every single dark, delicious promise. I was not prepared for the emotional rollercoaster this book was about to take me on. Sunday’s journey continues and all of those tantalizing breadcrumbs from the first book lead to some truly wild revelations that she must grapple with. The brothers dynamic with Sunday and with each other gets even more tangled and fascinating. The “why choose” dynamic is chefs kiss. It’s messy, intense, and somehow makes perfect sense. You’ll be rooting for everyone involved while simultaneously wanting to shake some sense into them! It’s a beautiful, dark dance.
If you’ve been invested in Sunday’s chaotic love life and the dark mysteries lurking in the shadows, you NEED to read this book! If you’re a fan of dark romance that doesn’t pull its punches, revels in complex relationships, and has enough suspense to keep you guessing until the very last page, this one is for you! Sage RelleAnne does an excellent job keeping you on the edge of your seat while exploring the underbelly of the town and the secrets behind the characters. Just be warned, you’re going to feel everything.
Picking up straight off from the first novel Sunday is still trying to unravel the loops and threads that seem stitched around her life intertwining the O'Brien brothers deeper along for the ride. Now that she knows the truth and remembers, she can't stop now. It's not a matter of revenge anymore but saving those lost in the mess, the ones the town has turned their back on. Once again, throwing herself in the crossfire of the enemy, this time with help and the protection of her chaotic love for three men, they find the opening they need to bring the entire organization down even if it means throwing herself into the lion's den itself. With the unknown looming, deception at the highest, love and lives on the line; Sunday is more determined than ever to finish this once and for all. Despite everything unravelling as fast as it is twisting, Sunday prevails and sends this story pummeling towards a sweet and beautiful end that has you on the edge of your seat. Even as the dust settles and the victims are found the next steps are the hardest - holding those accountable, rebuilding, reframing and healing in a town that has been hurting and burying secrets for years. Sunday exudes power and strength and redefined what it means to experience loss, pain and still find the love everyone deserves despite the curveballs life throws our way.
This is by far one of the best series I've read this year. Thank you Sage for allowing me to read this for you!
Been waiting for this book for a while and glad that it’s finally here! Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest review 🥰
So first and foremost, you have to read the first book - Her Day To Die, before you read this book, so that you can understand everything and pick up where the first book left off. This is the second book of the duet. I have reviewed the first book as well.
As for this book, I love how the plot goes. It’s pack with scenes and things, so it will grab your attention the whole time and you just want to keep on reading till the end. Alongside that, we get into each characters more too, feels like we get to know the brothers and others more in this one. More questions from the first book been answered, and hell, thank you for the ending too, I was relieved for them, finally some HEA and hope there haha. I love how traumas, dramas, action, love and all being blended nicely throughout the whole story. As usual, do check the tw in case you’re a sensitive reader / some things might upset you in this. For me, nothing triggers me but I understand what’s not for me might be it for you.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book and its whole story of a duet. I really love the concept, which I often only find that in movies, and glad that she executed that concept amazingly in this story. As always, Sage RelleAnne is one of my instant read and I’m looking forward for more of her books next! 🖤🖤
A Brilliant Conclusion to the "Star Crossed" Duology by Sage RelleAnne
The second installment, Not Her Day to Die, delivers a stunning and emotionally charged conclusion to the Star Crossed series. It’s essential to first read Her Day to Die to fully grasp the intricate layers of the narrative—only then can you appreciate the complexity and depth Sage RelleAnne has woven into this hauntingly beautiful story.
From beginning to end, this series is a masterclass in creative storytelling. The plot twists and reveals in Not Her Day to Die bring everything full circle, pulling the reader deeper into a world shaped by mystery, betrayal, corruption, and the unrelenting pull of fate. RelleAnne doesn’t just tell a story—she crafts an experience, one that challenges your perception of reality and time, especially with her clever use of timeline shifts and déjà vu.
What struck me most was the emotional intensity and the wide array of themes explored: multiple love interests, blackmail, murder, unwavering devotion, and ultimately, true love. It's a tangled web, but one that is thoroughly satisfying to unravel. I'm not even going to attempt to explain how the mechanics of it all work—nor do I need to. That’s the beauty of Sage RelleAnne’s writing. She doesn't just ask you to read; she invites you to believe.
This series is an unforgettable journey. Mysterious, romantic, and at times deeply unsettling, it's one of those rare reads that lingers long after the final page.
Not her day to die is the second book in this series and you have to read the first one in order to r=understand what's happening in this one. In this book, we pick up right where we left off in book 1. The guys, hoping that they are finally able to break the cycle of time loops. But now that she's been closer to death but didn't die, she sees these purple, red, and white strings. Each color represents something as they pull her towards her destiny. With everything going on in their town, she needs to figure out how not to die, how to save Darius, who's caught up with his dad in a bad way, rescue the missing girls, all while trying not to die. This book was slightly darker than the first. It was emotional. It was twisty. There's that sense of, who can I trust. It was torture watching these guys go through every thing they had to keep going through all for Sunday. I have never read anything like this before and I have to say, this was so well done! Like... even trying to put together the timeline of events is confusing in my head. Yet, somehow Sage was able to write 2 books and not make it confusing at all. The concept of the story is very unique and was perfectly executed. This isn't a book you can explain to someone. This is something they have to experience for themselves! I wish I could give this more than 5 stars!! I highly recommend getting into these two books. Amazing work!
Alright, so if you thought the first book was intense, "Not Her Day to Die" comes in swinging and delivers a conclusion that's both mind-bending and deeply satisfying. This story is all about tearing down the curtains on long-hidden mysteries and watching our main character navigate a truly twisted web of events that would make anyone's head spin. It’s got that perfect blend of nail-biting suspense that keeps you guessing until the very last page, mixed with character moments that genuinely hit you right in the gut. Every revelation feels earned, pulling you further into the town's dark heart. The connections between the characters are where this book really shines, like neon signs in a shadowy alley. You see these bonds forge and strengthen under immense pressure, and it's nothing short of captivating to witness. They're up against some heavy stuff, no doubt, but there's also this powerful current of resilience and hope running through it all, proving that even when things seem impossible, there's a fight left to be fought. Seriously, if the first book grabbed you, this follow-up is an absolute must-read to see how every single loose end gets tied up in a way you won't forget.
First, if you haven’t read Her Day to Die definitely go back and read it. This book picks up right after and it is essential to read book one in order to understand what’s going on in this book. Also this review will have spoilers from book one.
Sunday, Darius, Grayson, and Axel think they have finally made it out of the loops, but there’s still something wrong. Sunday is pulled to uncover the dark underbelly of the town and the boys are determined to keep her safe while she does it. As the secrets are revealed, Sunday will have to decide how she wants to move forward as fate pulls her towards the three brothers of her dead boyfriend.
I enjoyed how this book had lots of twists and turns. Sunday seemed to trust the boys a lot more than she did in book one. She also seemed to make smarter decisions for the most part. I really liked how each of the brothers had a unique relationship with Sunday and how they all helped each other. There are definitely heavy scenes and themes in this book so make sure that you check for triggers, but if you like dark romance with a slightly paranormal twist you should give this duet a try.
Start to finish this book was intense, emotional and dark. I did not suspect (even though it was well warned in advance) the darkness that came with this one. I absolutely loved it. I fell in love with this author through the first book in this series and this just sealed the deal. I love the use of multi-pov she portrays throughout this novel and she does it in such a unique way. This is the first novel I’ve read where there is first person and third person POVs and I think it really made it more fun. The character development is beautifully done and their stories (while tragic) were romantic and sweet. Full of twists and turns and dark alleys and the monsters that lurk in them, this book will keep you begging for more and turning the pages like it’s the last book you’ll ever read. I truly can not talk highly enough about this series.
My honest to God only regret, is that it was a fast read and it’s already over. I wish I could go back and reread this series for the first time all over again. I sure as heck would.
But alas, I will see you all on the next one! Enjoy and happy reading!
'It is tangible proof that all the sacrifices were not made in vain'
This was a great sequel to the duet. I loved the culmination of all the lives Sunday lived and how she was now able to see threads. The threads were one of the most interesting parts of this book, along with another character who was experiencing the loops as well.
The love of the brothers and their different personalities really shone through in their own chapters and they ways they interacted with Sunday. I do wish we got a few more chapters with them in the end, just living the life they were given. I also wished we had a breakdown of all of Sundays deaths, which sounds morbid, but I am so curious as to what each one was. we got to experience some in Her Day to Die, but I am so intrigued to know the others.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the closure it gave us on the big plot and what most of the characters were doing in the end.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “Obsessive, lyrical, and devastating in the best way.”
“Sunday. Sunday. Sunday.” That opening alone gave me chills. This book is a love letter wrapped in danger—a poetic descent into obsession, fate, and unshakable devotion.
In book two of the Star-Crossed Duet, the past isn’t done with Sunday—or the men who’ve loved her in secret for years.
Axel’s Little Lamb. Darius’s Wildflower. Their baby girl.
The way each of the brothers sees her, adores her, aches for her—it’s beautiful and unhinged in equal measure. But this time, love isn’t enough. The last thread of mystery begins to unravel, and with it comes a truth so dark it threatens everything they’ve built.
Because fate hasn’t finished playing with Sunday. And when the final secret drops? There’s no guarantee she’ll stay.
“Sunday, I would swallow every last drop of your pain. Even if it was poison. Even if it would kill me. You know that don’t you? As long as i am by your side, you don’t need to suffer. Let me take it from you.”
When i say this duet was a mindf*ck in the best way, i seriously mean it 🤌🏻 The plot was INSANE - and the twists in the story kept getting more and more wild - i literally binged 75% of this book in this final sitting.
Sunday, Axel, Darius & Grayson pick up where they left off at the end of Her Day To Die after a BOMBSHELL of a plot twist (i won’t ruin it for y’all but it’s 🤌🏻). Can they pick up where they left off? Can Sunday stay safe and will the guys let her help them crack the towns biggest mystery? 👀 But most of all, can they all accept that fate has a funny way of making things happen…? 🤌🏻🤘🏻🖤✨ UGH - perfection. I’m obsessed.
Sunday and her guys pick up right where book 1 ended, fighting back against bad guys doing bad things. (The synopsis has to end there to avoid spoilers!)
I had high expectations for this after how much I loved book 1. There were so many good elements to this, and the emotional fall out of finding out about what was really going on in their small town. However, I had a hard time staying engaged as it felt like the story seemed to lose its way about 1/3rd of the way through. The ending seemed to drag on and on, and the supernatural elements were a little rough around the edges. But, I still enjoyed this ending to one heck of a story.
I recommend this book if you love twisty, turny stories with protective men and FMCs that will put others ahead of themselves - no matter the cost.
