This book was a slog for me. There were parts that were very interesting, and I appreciate historical context left out of Protestant bibles (such as Macabees), as well as the last few chapters. However, it was a difficult read for me.
Helpful. Read it for school. Progressive Covenantal Framework was interesting to see fleshed out. Provided a lot of helpful cultural context for understanding the whole biblical narrative, especially in the intertestamental period.
