The second time around
The second book did not grab me like the first one. The story was good, but I guess, I selfishly wanted more. The one,two, and three side note was still cool. The romance was biting at times with the amount of acts in one story. See what you think...

It was entertaining, but didn’t land for me like Book 1. I think it’s because I didn’t really care for the plot too much. Brother’s best friend isn’t one of my favorite tropes anyway. But you’ve been sneaking around with your best friend’s sister for over 25 years? Scared to love out loud because of a silly promise you made as a teenager? Get outta here lol. My favorite element was the banter between the characters. I’m invested enough to keep reading though because I have to know what’s up with Demi & Melanie.

No Substance
Well, when the author forewarns the readers of “Trigger Warnings & or Mature Content: explicit language*scenes of violence*depictions of sexual content” and may I expound “graphic” sexual content brace yourself & believe her/it🥴‼️ “Love Like This: Love Secret Series - Book 2” (3.25 ⭐’s) was a disappointment, poor plot development & lacked plot continunity🤷🏾♀️‼️FYI, Shavonne & Dorien are adults, who cares about a bro pack! Their “secret” derived from a best friends agreement when they were children & had nothing to do with her (Vonnie). This storyline felt contrived, desperate, unrealistic & juvenile. Meanwhile, the subplot without context was just eliminated 😏. Unfortunately, the second installment of the “Love Secrets Series” should have been a novella rather than thirty two darn chapters, two hundred sixty seven pages of a couple’s intimate proclivities in EVERY chapter🤦🏾♀️‼️ That’s not fantasy nor is voyeurism alluring, I expected substance‼️I’m insulted🥴‼️

Two/Dorien/Ren
This is book 2 in the Love Secrets Series and it stood on business as much as book 1. In this book we learn that not only are Dorien and Shavonne sneaking, freaking, but they've been about each other since before Dorien ever promised Demi he wouldn't mess with his sister. 1,2, and 3 are still about business, legally and illegally and their past is catching up. While that's going on, Ren and Vonne are avoiding each other, sneaking into each other's houses, and trying to figure out how to tell her brother about their relationship which ends in a family dinner brawl. Unknown to our mmc's someone is plotting and scheming against them. This book brings us plots, schemes, weddings and babies and I enjoyed every minute. Demi really brought the jokes this book and I can't wait to see what really is going on with him and Melanie.

Oh, okay then T.S. Martin! Love, Like This is a great follow-up. We sensed something was brewing between Dorien and Shavonne in Love, Like That, but we had no idea how deep it ran. Baby, the way these two were sneaking and freaking at every chance—it’s a miracle they weren’t caught! Dorien’s desire to protect the sanctity of his brotherhood actually creates a rift between him and Vonn. But when it was time to love her out loud, he did so proudly and boldly. This book has everything: romance, spice, suspense, and a dash of comedy. I’m definitely looking forward to the next installment; I know Demi and Mel's story will give us plenty of giggles!

Love, Like This (Lover Secrets Series Book 2)
I'm so enjoying this series. I love the family dynamic between the fellows, ladies, and parents. "Family over everything."
Dorien and Shavonne are too cute together. It is wonderful to love someone for twenty six years and not be married. The rough patch only made their bond stronger. And I was tickled at Demi not knowing they were together, while the rest of the family did. Wonder twin powers weren't working for him at all.
One, Two, and Three ain't no joke. Keep playing with them if you want too!

This book was 🥵🥵🥵
This book brought all of the emotions!
You will be irritated because Dorien and Shavonne did everything but communicate in the beginning… They were very tit for tat and was always wrong!!
You will feel the stress and intensity during the heated moments when secrets were revealed and some parts were very suspenseful!!
Then you will also feel the love and passion they felt for one another when they finally got it right!
I was all in, I wanted to know how their relationship was going to grow and overcome with so much going on around them!
I can’t wait to read book 3!!!

I knew there was something going on between Ren and Vonn because of how they were acting torwards each other in Book 1 but wowwwww these secrets getting messier. They share this secret love because of a promise made years ago and think no one notices but the one person they are trying to protect from finding out is making it hard for them to continue their love. There are also outside interferences from the past that is making things even more complicated. Ren loves hard and Vonn has always just wanted him. The suspense combined with the romance was always good and a great continuation on where Book 1 left off.

Wooooo spicy is an understatement. Ren would put Vonn through the mattress if they ever slept in one, lol. The was they kept their relationship a secret for 26 years should be studied. Vonn got was reaching her breaking point, though. I don't know how no one got jealous until the 26th year. Dating and sleeping with other ppl should have created a whole different monster. When the silent assassin was ready to live in his truth, Rome sent him right back into his closet. baby, when Ren put his hands on Amin. I loved every moment in this book. Ren and Demi are like big kids, and D is the mature one out of the bunch.

I Just Love LOVE!
First it was Devin now it's Dorien. Them D names just do something to me that makes me feel all giggly inside. Ms Thing (I don't want to spoil it for others so I'm not going to name bomb lol) had my emotions on a rollercoaster so I can only imagine what Dorien was going through since he was the one she was putting through it! But nonetheless this story was beautifully put together and if you thought Book 1 was spicy' Ren a.k.a "Two" going to show you what love making is! Ren took Janet Jackson song Any time Any place and made it his own 😜

She been mine
Sometimes, when you have a full plan, it never works out. The hunted becomes the hunter, and it is such a beautiful read.
On two Dorien and Shavonne, they were toxic to the people who thought they had a chance. No side chick or dude would ever replace what was in their heart. Dorien reaction, though, freaking golden. It was fun to see how much of Devin was in him. I am curious about how their mother acted back in the day.
On to 3's book.

I loved Doriens story it was a good follow up from the first book, this book had more secrets than the first book definitely a lot of spicy scenes like the last book. He was hiding a secret from one of his best friends and he knew if he told him it could possibly ruin their friendship but also by him keeping this secret he could lose the one he loves.

So good
This book was simply amazing. I enjoyed the chase but, ultimately it was always going to be them together. I I absolutely love the bond between the brothers and I really think that they are hilarious also enjoyed the mystery in this storyline. I definitely recommend you pick up a copy of this book. You will not be disappointed

A Timeless Love
4.5 ⭐️ Dorien “Ren” & Shavonne “Vonn” had my emotions all over the place. Had me saying out loud, just tell each other yall true feelings already, come on! Lol. Ren finally stood on business with Vonn and listen, the proposal had me cheesin’, what a MAN! This book had the perfect suspense, action, & romance… such a good read!

Friends to Lovers
I enjoyed book 2 in this series! The chemistry with Vonne and Dorien was sooo good! At first Vonn wasn’t feeling being kept secret and Dorien was taking to long to make something happen so Vonn took matters in her own hands. Great love story, looking forward to Book 3

I didn’t enjoy Von and Ren as much I expected to. The story overall was mid, too Tubi-ish for me.
But I’m still going to finish the series. Plus I need to know why all the drama between Mel and Demi.

Loving the Series so far
Book 2 of this series was okay but after reading the first book D or should I say One is still bae 😩😝💦 but overall I enjoyed this book as well just not as much as the first one…On to book number 3 I can’t wait to read Melanie story ❤️

Dorien and Shavonne were great together after they quit playing games and got over the Demi’s promise. The 26 roses were the sweetest touch. Glad Dorien and Demi were able to move forward. Looking forward to seeing what’s going on between Demi and Melanie.
