Nothing said Christmas quite like...computer coding?
My up-and-coming gaming company was in the need of a Christmas miracle, and I planned to spend the holidays holed up in a snowy cabin, making that miracle happen.
I hadn't counted on sharing this secluded winter wonderland with my nemesis, Cole Nichols.
The last thing I need is the sexy tech mogul, intent on buying out my company, to distract me from my goal.
But as the snow piles up outside, I can't help but wonder if Cole might be the one to make my winter wishes come true....
Wall Street Journal & USA Today Bestselling author, Nana Malone writes Sexy Feel-Good Romance and loves of all things romance and adventure.
That love started with a tattered romantic suspense she "borrowed" from her cousin. It was a sultry summer afternoon in Ghana, and Nana was a precocious thirteen. She's been in love with kick butt heroines ever since. With her overactive imagination, and channeling her inner Buffy, it was only a matter a time before she started creating her own characters.
This book has all the things needed for a hallmark movie and I ate it all up! Grumpy male lead who hates Christmas ✅ Workaholics ✅ Christmas obsessed female lead ✅✅
Jamie spends her Christmas break trying to save her company when she unexpectedly is sharing a cabin with the very person who is trying buy her company. Things start off steamy and get even steamier when Jamie’s infectious Christmas spirit starts chipping away at Cole’s grinchy exterior.
If you are looking for a light hearted, fun story to get you in the Christmas spirit then look no further!
I want to thank Nana Malone for the opportunity to read Mistletoe Ever After before it releases!
This was a cute quick read, now I’m in the mood for Christmas a little too early!
Jamie and Cole who are both sort of workaholics grew up in the same small town and happen to both be visiting around the same time to get some last minute work done during the holidays. Unfortunately, things don’t go as planned for either of them.
This book was funny, sexy, short and sweet I really enjoyed it! Thank you for allowing me to read an ARC of this book!
I was lucky enough to get my hands on an ARC of Mistletoe Ever After by Nana Malone, and I can confidently say it is the perfect holiday romance! Jamie and Cole’s chemistry is pure magic—equal parts sweet and steamy. Their banter kept me smiling, and the sparks between them? Absolutely sizzling. Watching their story come full circle from their younger days added so much depth and heart, making their connection feel real and earned. Set against a snowy backdrop, this book is everything I needed to get into the Christmas spirit. It’s cozy, full of warmth, and has just the right amount of heat to keep you turning pages. If you want a romance that will melt your heart while the snow falls outside, Mistletoe Ever After is the one!
If you’re looking for a Christmas Romance start here. The story of Jamie (Jamison) and Cole starts off rocky. I wasn’t sure how the story was going to play out at first but when it gets spicy it gets spicy!! The spicy level is about a four out of five. The author gives you the right descriptions at the right time that make you invested in the main characters. I would highly suggest giving this quick read a try. I finished it within a few hours and when I got to the end I wanted to know more about their story. What’s next for them.
Jaime is holding onto her gaming design company with both hands. She decides to go to her fav small town resort for the holidays to shore up the next game to hopefully pull herself out of the hole she’s in. Thanks to her Ex.
Cole heads back to his resort for the holidays and plans to work. Gets a call from his buddy who says hey my sister is going to your resort, keep and eye on her. Check. Mate.
Love these characters. Great writing. And quick but well thought out plot!
In this series 3rd book, we dive into the world of tech via video game development. We are first introduced to Jamison “Jamie” Reed. She is the owner and game developer of her company Cyperpunked. Her company is in a major financial crisis due to a major oversight with her vindictive co-owner of an ex. Jamie is urgently banking on her next game to be a major success to save the company. To achieve this, Jamie heads to a resort on a much-needed holiday vacation to focus on work while celebrating her favorite holiday. In the meantime, she turned down offers to acquire including one offer that is different than the rest. This is where our main hero enters the story. Cole Reed is not only a high school of Jamie’s brother, but they have a history. In addition, he is the owner of Teched. In a turn of events, our couple are brought back together. This is where our story continues into moments that neither Jamie nor Cole will forget. I won’t spoil the story, but there wasn’t a dull moment. There were plenty of moments full of holiday cheer, humor, drama, and steamy romance from our main couple. Although Jamie and Cole had differences, they both were persistent when it came to thinking they knew what was best. However, they did see the bigger picture to reach their HEA. Also, as an avid reader of the author I love the cameo appearance. Overall, it was an enjoyable holiday read with all the feels.
“Jamie, you’ve always been my miracle. I just needed a second to realize it.”
Now this is a perfect Christmas read 🥰 Jamie is strong willed, stubborn and a GENIUS. I’m sooo glad she was able to get what she deserved and that’s true love and still be boss lady!!
Now Cole!! (Always loved the name btw) just the name is sexy alone 😂 Now I wasn’t a fan of his for just a few chapters but knowing his back story and given their relationship he grew on me. This was my first Nana Malone story and now I’m going to read the series.
This book is the perfect book to kick off your holiday reading. Is has the perfect amount of spice, it has great banter. This book hits some of the best tropes, enemies to lovers, hot nerd, forces proximity, he fell first, grumpy sunshine, and he is a Millionaire. I love this book so much. It was a quick and easy read, perfect for the busy holiday season.
Thank you so much to Nana Malone and her team for sending me this great e-arc! This little novella was so perfect. Loved the chemistry between Jamie and Cole. I loved how driven Jamie was and how she fought so hard for what she believed in. Watching Cole embrace Christmas again after not celebrating it for a years was so heartwarming. I rate this cute Novella 4 ⭐️ and I think it will definitely be a great addition to my bookshelves. Be sure to grab your copy!
Holiday read!!!! Great holiday read! Love these characters & the Nana Malone corporate world jargon added just the perfect touch to make it an enjoyable read at any time of the year!
Jamie and Cole's holiday story was a treat to read. I love holiday romances and this one played out like a sexy Hallmark movie. So many fun tropes with a sassy strong heroine and one sexy hot hero. Sparks fly when these two workaholics get a second chance.
Jamie (Jamison) is in need of some seclusion so she can work out the bugs in her next game. Her company is depending on this game doing well, or all her work, all her employees' work, will be down the drain and her company will be gone. So heading out to a resort should be the perfect place to get work done. Unfortunately, a man she has history with has the same idea and now she's stuck with him. They have history, they have chemistry, and they have a simmering tension that has nowhere to go but kaboom.
When Cole's high school friend asked him to watch over his sister, he didn't realize it would mean so literally, that he'd be stuck with her so close when they don't have room for her at the resort and they're snowed in. But it's a good thing because he's been trying to acquire her company and this will pave the way. Or will it do something different this holiday? He might just come to realize what's and who are more important than money.
I love Jamie! Smart, strong women should always be written about, there really needs to be more of them in all kinds of fiction. I have to admit Cole gave me a bad vibe at first, and his agenda didn't sit well with me. But I know I can always count on Nana to give wonderful endings, redemption arcs, and there's no way she'd create an amazing heroine like Jamie and not give her a partner she deserved. For two people with such delicious chemistry, there's a fun, heartfelt coziness here, too, thanks to the snowed in close confines and the holiday season and now I'm really starting to get in the holiday mood!
3.75stars-MISTLETOE EVER AFTER is the third instalment in Nana Malone’s contemporary, adult THE MISTLETOE romance series. This is twenty-five year old game developers Jamie Reed, and Cole Nichols’ story line. MISTLETOE EVER AFTER can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Jamie and Cole) using present day and memories from the past, MISTLETOE EVER AFTER follows Jamie Reed and her struggling game developing company Cyberpunked. With the holidays approaching, Jamie is heading to the small town of Hope, New York where she will come face to face with her brother Matt’s best friend Cole Nichols, but the lodge has overbooked, and Jamie finds herself spending the holidays with our story line hero. Little does Jamie know but Cole Nichols is desperate to acquire Jamie’s company, and Cole will do anything to take down the woman at the top.
The world building follows the best friend’s sister frenemies to lovers. Seven years earlier Jamie and Cole kissed, within days, Cole had ghosted our story line heroine. Fast forward to present day, Cole sees an opportunity to acquire Jamie’s struggling company but all Jamie sees is the potential for failure, failure of her life’s work and dreams.
The relationship between Cole and Jamie is one of mutual attraction but Jamie sees betrayal when she realizes it is Cole’s company taking aim at her life’s work. Cole has never stopped thinking about the woman he kissed seven year earlier but in an effort to keep the peace, Cole must come up with a plan to protect the woman he loves. The $ex scenes are limited but passionate and intense.
There secondary and supporting characters are limited. We are introduced to most via phone calls including acquisitions manager Jake, and Jamie’s head of marketing Becca Long.
MISTLETOE EVER AFTER is a story of betrayal and greed, self esteem and reluctance, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is thought provoking and dramatic; the romance is spicy; the characters are desperate and determined.
Mistletoe Ever After, the third book in the Mistletoe series, is such a delightful and wonderful holiday novella. I absolutely enjoyed this one. Jamie and Cole were an absolutely perfect match even though they may not have seen it that way at first, but ahh...the holiday spirit has a way of changing things, as does finally realizing that you have met your soul mate.
Jamison aka Jamie, our heroine, is a smart, beautiful, sassy and independent business owner whose company, Cyperpunked, has run into some trouble thanks to the actions of her boyfriend/business partner who up and left, and took a huge part of the business, including clients with him. Jamie, who is not one to give up on her dreams or fighting for her employees, decides to head back to her hometown to figure things out, but upon arrival she discovers her hotel is overbooked, thereby, thrusting Jamie into the same suite as that of one Cole Nichols, her professional archnemesis and the boy she has had a secret crush on forever. Cole, our gorgeous hero, is a billionaire who hates Christmas, barely shows emotions, and is looking to buy a gaming company. Oh, and yeah, he and Jamie went to school together and he happens to be her brother's friend. So, we have a lot of history between these two that needs to be worked out, and once they are snowed in together, the sparks come to life and our Christmas Miracle begins to take shape. Man, oh man, did these two have super chemistry together. It jumped right off the pages, and I loved every minute of it.
So, if you are looking for a quick holiday read with two fantastic main characters, Christmas Miracles, secret crushes on brother's friends, and an all around great read, grab a copy of Mistletoe Ever After. You won't be disappointed. Yet another great read by Nana Malone.
Jamie Reed and Cole Nichols are the central characters in Mistletoe Ever After, the third book in Nana Malone's Mistletoe series. Their story unfolds against the backdrop of a snowy holiday season, filled with tension, romance, and personal growth.
Jamie is a determined entrepreneur struggling to keep her gaming company, Cyberpunked, afloat after her former partner betrayed her by taking clients and half of their business. As the holidays approach, she retreats to a lodge in Hope, New York, hoping to find a Christmas miracle that will save her company. Unbeknownst to her, Cole, who is also at the lodge, has his own agenda—he is interested in acquiring her company but has unresolved feelings for Jamie from their past.
Seven years prior, Jamie and Cole shared a brief romantic moment that ended abruptly when Cole ghosted her. Now, their reunion is fraught with complications: Jamie sees Cole as a potential threat to her business, while Cole grapples with his feelings for Jamie and his professional ambitions. Their relationship evolves from frenemies to lovers as they confront their past and the present challenges they face.
The narrative explores themes of betrayal, resilience, and love. The dual perspectives of Jamie and Cole provide insight into their motivations and emotions, making their journey relatable. The book balances moments of tension with humor and romance, creating an engaging holiday read that resonates with the spirit of second chances.
Overall, Mistletoe Ever After combines elements of business rivalry with heartfelt romance, making it a compelling addition to the Mistletoe series.
When Christmas rolls around I look forward to reading novellas like MISTLETOE EVER AFTER from Author Nana Malone. It might be short and sweet, but it’s packed full of all the romance I love to be reading as we head into the silly season.
Jamie Reed is a talented coder and game creator who needs a Christmas miracle. She is also an extreme Christmas aficionado, loving everything from the trees and decorations through to the ugly Christmas jerseys. She also needs Christmas alone to finish a project could save her company.
Cole Nichols spends time alone at Christmas because he’s lost the spirit of the whole season. When a room booking at the same hotel sees the pint size sister of his friend out of accommodation, he’s got plenty of room to share.
I loved the banter and shenanigans as Jamie exploded Christmas all over his suite. Ms Malone has written all the novel length goodies into a quick read which means this grumpy-sunny, ex-small-town and the-one-who-got-away Christmas themed novella carries all her trademarks of spicy romance, hilarious banter and characters that I just can’t help but love and admire.
I really needed things to work out for both of them, and I wondered how Ms Malone would bring their opposing goals together. Yep, this was one great quick read that was awesome. 5-Christmas-Novella-Stars 🎄✨⛄️
This was a great Christmas romance. It was a cute, fun, cozy, light-hearted Christmas romance with tons of spicy chemistry and it really got me in the Christmas spirit. Mistletoe Ever After is a quick-read with perfect pacing, a great plot, and nice, likable, full fledge characters.
I really liked Jamie (FMC). I particularly liked the fact that she was an African-American woman in STEM and worked as a video game designer, and even owned her own company; I loved that she was a BOSS! Jamie was so sweet and loving and she really care for those around her, especially her employees. Loved that she was so into Christmas... just like me!
Cole (MMC) was such a sweetheart. Though he was a grump who disliked Christmas at the start of the story, it was so good to see him break out of his shell and find happiness with Jamie.
I loved the way the author wrote the story, giving us Cole and Jamie's back story through flash backs. This helped in advancing the plot, in developing the characters, and in strengthening the Jamie and Cole's friendship and chemistry.
Overall, this was a great Christmas novella that I would recommend to anyone who loves:
🎄 Grumpy/Sunshine 🎄 Christmas Romance 🎄 Enemies to Lovers 🎄 Second Chance at Love 🎄 Forced Proximity 🎄 Forced Roommates 🎄 Black Woman in Stem 🎄 Interracial Romance (BWWM) 🎄 He Falls First
Jamie was determined to save her company. She went back to stay her in hometown and spend the Christmas holidays doing just that, but her hotel was overbooked. The next thing she knew, she was staying with her brother’s friend, Cole Nichols, the boy she never forgot and her professional nemesis. Mistletoe Ever After by Nana Malone is the third book in the Mistletoe series. This snowed in, forced proximity, holiday romance novella was a breath of fresh air in a holiday themed package. I enjoyed reading the story of Jamie and Cole’s second chance. Jamie was a spirited, determined heroine and Cole had the dominant, alphamale lover in the bag. The chemistry burned up the pages and the spice level was a little above moderate. There was a lot of conflict between these two, and I loved how Cole listened to Jamie in the end. This story was short but not rushed. It was not as emotional as others because there wasn’t time, but it was representative of this author’s talented, entertaining writing style and an enjoyable holiday themed story. I would recommend this novella for readers who enjoy a brother’s friend, professional rivals, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, second chance, contemporary romantic comedy. I enjoyed it and I think you will too.
I would like to thank Valentine PR for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review.
If you love to watch a good holiday movie, then you are going to love reading this book. It is so well written that it plays like a movie in your heard while you are reading. This is the story of Jamie and Cole. Jamie is the owner of a gaming design company. She sure never thought she would be fighting tooth and nail to keep it. But Cole is after her company and she is not about to let him have it. Deciding that she needs a little trip to her favorite small town resort, she goes there with the intention of finishing a project that she is working on. She has a terrible ex and he is the reason that she might lose her company to Cole. The woman is certainly under a lot of pressure. Cole just so happens to be in the same resort but of course the holidays don't matter much to him. After all the man is a workaholic. He knows that Jamie is there thanks to a call from her brother he gets letting him know that his sister is going to be at the same resort and to look out for her. Oh he plans to look out for her. He just never figured he would look out for her in ways he never expected. This book is really good. It is steamy and has some serious heat in it. If you are in the mood for a small town holiday romance then this one should be at the top of your list.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️ Nana Malone is still a new author for me and this was an enjoyable read. You know Christmas season is coming when you start reading all these fun Christmas novellas. This is interracial, women in STEM, close proximity and brothers friend. Jamie is the mastermind behind her gaming company but her ex had tricked her and left her high and dry. She is fighting for Christmas miracle to save her company. There is an investment company that has been trying to buy her out but she is not giving in. For Christmas she is going away to small town to relax and work. Cole is a successful businessman and he wants to buy Jamie's company but he doesn't know who the owner is. He is determined to buy it because no one says no to him. He is also planning to stay at his hotel resort in Hope, over Christmas. Complications leads them to share his place. He can't believe he is seeing Jamie after 7 years. The one that never left his mind and off limit. She helps him to enjoy Christmas again. Lots of festive fun and laughter until they find out they're the owners of the companies. Now they need to see if love can win over their business. I loved how Cole was with her the way he took care of her needs. So swoon worth. Slow burn, humour, banter, festive fun and spice. It's a great book if your looking for a quick read.
This was a short holiday second chance story. I did like that both characters acknowledged they did not know each other anymore after a prolonged separation, despite their chemistry and mutual attraction.
Jamie and Cole had a hot steamy Christmas reunion. I liked that her enthusiasm for the holiday helped Cole to appreciate the season again.
I had some issues with the situation about their companies. One being Jamie's unwillingness to sit down and have a conversation with the company that was interested in acquiring her company. I felt like she should have at least heard the terms.
The other thing was the way Cole came at Jamie explaining why he wanted the company. I felt like he was making her a legitimate offer, but explained it really badly. Maybe I was reading more into it than what was being offered.
The last thing was that Jamie and Cole would not stop talking AT each other long enough to listen TO what they were trying to say. One of my pet peeves is the lack of the main characters being able to communicate with each other.
I did enjoy the holiday parts at the cabin. I was glad that they finally reconciled their issues and got to embrace their HEA. I would give this 3.75 stars.
Cole owns a company called Teched. Jaime owns a company called Cyberpunked which is in financial trouble. She started it with her then boyfriend, and then he left her and took most of the big clients. She does all the programming for the games. Cole wants to buy Cyberpunked, rip it apart and benefit from it financially. They are both going to Hope, NY at the Mouuntain Villa’s Lodge where they both grew up. They both know each other from when they were younger. Jaime is 11 months the younger sister of Matt, Cole’s friend. Matt calls and asks him to watch over her while they’re there. Little do they know what company each other owns. Jaime gets to the hotel and they don’t have a room for her. They call Cole and him to help. Jaime ends up staying with him. Cole doesn’t like Christmas, but Jaime does. He gives in so she can decorate the suite. There’s so much tension between these two. You could cut it with a knife. The attraction is over the top. Then they find out who one another is and it all goes south from there. Of course, there is kissing under the mistletoe. Will they iron out their differences? It’s a great read to find out how they manage from then on.
This is the third book in The Mistletoe Series, and it will give you all the holiday cheer and put a smile on your face. Jamie is a business owner and is having some trouble since her partner up and left the company taking clients with him. Not one to cower under pressure, Jamie is doing everything she can think of to save her company. Cole is a billionaire who went to school with Jamie and her older brother. He is fixated on buying a gaming company but is having no luck. This only makes Cole more determined. I’d be remiss if I forget to mention that he hates Christmas. Fortunately, the holidays are approaching, and Jamie decides to take a trip to the outskirts of where she grew up to focus on work and come up with a plan. However, upon her arrival to the hotel, she runs into a problem and gets a shock when she realizes that Cole is staying there too. There is quite a bit of history between these two and when things come to light will Jamie be able to save her company and get her Christmas miracle? Overall, this is a quick endearing read with two people who are the missing half of each other’s whole. It’s has the perfect amount of steam and is just right for when you want to curl up in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.
This is a very sweet Christmas story. We have Jamison (Jamie) an African American woman game designer who owns her own gaming company that is in danger of going under unless she can work on a new upcoming game. So Jamie decides to hide out in this lodge and work during the Christmas vacation. But unfortunately her reservation was messed up and she is forced to stay in the same suite as Cole. Cole is the owner of a tech company that coincidentally is trying to buy Jamie’s company although both are oblivious to this fact. These two know each other because he was her brother’s friend and teammate. Cole and Jamie shared a very tender kiss (years ago) that neither has forgotten. This story is told from the present reminiscing about the past and explaining what happened previously. Jaime is a Christmas fanatic and traveled with lights, wreaths and a mini tree in her luggage whereas, poor Cole preferred just to ignore the holidays. This sweet story tugged at my heart it was short but definitely memorable. I loved that Jamie was capable and strong but also soft and sympathetic. Cole was a good guy who wanted the best. This story will certainly get you in the holiday spirit and make you believe in love.
This enemies-to-lovers holiday romance is the perfect blend of tension, humor, and heart! The premise of a tech-savvy heroine determined to save her gaming company and a suave, competitive tech mogul snowed in together sets the stage for a witty and electrifying romance.
The secluded snowy cabin creates a cozy backdrop for all the sparks flying between these two rivals. The banter is sharp, the chemistry is undeniable, and the slow unraveling of their feelings is both satisfying and heartwarming. The contrast between their professional rivalry and their growing personal connection makes this story impossible to put down.
What sets this book apart is its modern, tech-driven twist on a classic holiday trope. The heroine’s determination and independence shine through, while Cole Nichols proves to be more than just the charming nemesis she initially sees him as. Together, they navigate their ambitions, their differences, and, of course, a hefty dose of snow-induced forced proximity.
If you’re looking for a romance that combines wit, heat, and holiday magic, this one is an absolute must-read. It’ll leave you rooting for love—and maybe wishing for your own tech mogul under the mistletoe!

This novel was absolutely perfect. I received an eARC of Mistletoe Ever After by Nana Malone, and I'm so lucky to be writing this voluntary review! It's the ideal holiday read, brimming with the warm and fuzzy feelings that make you feel cozy inside.
This is my first Nana Malone book, and I became an instant fan, absolutely loving her writing. Jamie and Cole's story is beautifully written, and their chemistry had me hooked right from the start. This book is packed with tropes like second chance romance, friends-to-lovers, and holiday romance, delivering all the feels. Jamie and Cole's relationship was funny, sweet, and utterly heartwarming.
I really, truly fell in love with both of them—Jamie with her quirkiness and vulnerability, and Cole with his single-minded devotion to her well-being. It made him feel even more real and swoon-worthy. Their story has me wanting to explore more of Nana Malone's work, as I loved her writing style!
If you're in the mood for a feel-good, quick read that will make your heart dance with happiness and weep tears of joy, this is the book for you. It's top-quality feel-good escapism.

Jamison (Jaime) is the owner of a game company, she was betrayed by her boyfriend when he left her and stole a huge part of her company and clients. She is desperate to save her company and employees. She plans to get away for Christmas to finalize her game in a last-ditch effort to save her company. For two people with such good chemistry, with heartfelt coziness here. Thanks to being snowed in close confines and the holiday season and now I'm really starting to get in the holiday.
This is a cute novella that doesn’t feel like you are missing any of the story. I loved it. Cole is a billionaire CEO who just recently broke up with is girlfriend when she turned down his proposal. He’s also being thwarted at every turn from buying out a game company he desperate wants to own. Did I mention he also hates Christmas. Jamison (Jaime) is the owner of a game company, she was betrayed by her boyfriend when he left her and stole a huge part of her company and clients. She is desperate to save her company and employees and she needs to get away this Christmas so she can finalize her game in a last ditch effort to save her company. What she doesn’t expect is to be forced to share a suite with her HS crush and brother’s friend, Cole.
Loved everything about this book. You have a STEM heroine and a Second Chance at a love story between two people who both are looking for something and have no idea it’s each other. If you want a cute short holiday read with a satisfying HEA look no further than this story. I love it and I know you will too.
