Omg Rhea, where’s the second book? Because I need it like ASAP! This book had me hooked from the start, I never wanted to put it down! This gives a little mermaid retelling, but completely different! I want to say it’s like a dark romantasy! It was very fast paced and kept you wanting to read more! This book had enemies to lovers, morally grey MMC, bad ass FMC, obsessive, but also willing to share? It was dark, twisty, seeking revenge, and smutty!
I want to start off by saying Bash, Bashy, Bashy, oh Bashy…he comes off as a complete A-hole, but the type of A-hole we all love! He’s dominant, alpha, cunning, and charming! Ahhh one minute I would be thinking “What a jerk” and the next I would be like “Oh Bash, I love you!” 😂 Then you have Ophelia! Beautiful, smart, powerful, trying to avenge her sister’s death! I always love a badass FMC and Ophelia definitely gave off BDE! I love her!
Rhea wrote this book so beautifully! She wrote such a good cliffhanger that has you salivating for the next book! I cannot wait to see where the next book takes us! The smut scenes were HOT & SPICY! I 10/10 recommend 🖤

- this sentence  made me giggle "I fucked a fish. "
- I literally  adore Ophelia as she sounds like one badass hellraising Siren
- the whole story was amazing
- that cliffhanger I wasn't expecting it ... I really hope there is gonna be a second book

I am always down for a dark fairytale retelling. There were definitely nods to The Little Mermaid within this story but it was pretty loosely a retelling. It felt more like an inspired by story than a retelling.

The plot itself was solid: seeking revenge for her sister's murder a siren gains access to the Coral Castle under the guise of entertainment and seeks to end the lives of those who took her sister from her.

There is a lot of spice in this book. Some was quite well written and wasn't cringey in its word choice and some was really dark but I am aware that it is some peoples' cup of tea (its just not mine).

To be entirely honest: this book felt like it was more a vessel for the sex than the plot. I did not get that impression reading the synopsis but it felt that way. It wasn't poorly constructed but I did feel misled with this story

Wow this little novella packs a punch holy shit. Bash had be loving, hating loving him it gave me whiplash. Ophila the FMC was an absolute bassass. She’s looking for revenge for her sister’s death when she comes to the royal castle.

You see she is a siren but has taken on a human form to trick the men of this castle into spilling their secrets so she can spill their blood.

I loved absolutely everything about this novella it’s absolute perfection and I want more. This story is filled with secrets, twists, manic, darkness and revenge.

Rhea truly has a way with story telling! And I loved every second of it.

Ahhhh this novella was SO good I finished it in one sitting. Like I didn’t leave my bed, I just couldn’t put it down. 🤣

Picture the little mermaid but instead of looking for her prince, she’s seeking revenge and NOTHING is gonna get in her way to get it! The spice was spicin’ and I loved how strong Ophelia was. I was also equally irked by a few side characters, but they played their roles well.😅

OMG... I absolutely LOVED this dark Little Mermaid retelling. This is definitely one of my top reads of the year. If you're into a dark and spicy retelling, enemies to lovers, revenge, a siren and some kinky magic then you will LOVE this. I was sucked in from the first page all the way until the ending. Speaking of ending, it has you wanting sooo much more. I need more!

For 130 pages this was so packed with plot and world building. Rhea sucks you right in.

I think this might be my favourite from Rhea so far!!
Bash is twisted and dark with a soul so black
Ophelia full of furry and ready to get her revenge

I so desperately need more for this story the end left me wanting more but it still leaves you so satisfied

I guess I’m more of a character building, story building type of person. I didn’t like the repetitive type of writing, I didn’t like that the characters kept saying each other’s names like we didn’t know who was in the room with them. I just wanted to red pen this book like an English paper, and toss it. But I will say the spice was SPICY in this book. I just didn’t like that I had to basically force myself to finish the book out of guilt, and it being so short of a book.

Although. Short story, Rhea’s work is never too long for my pleasure. I LOVED that Ophelia was a siren, I hear the word all the time describing badass women and this was no different. Bash? Give me ALL of that royal ass. I’m okay with how things ended, I can accept that. But I’m also hoping there’s more in the future maybe? If we are so lucky.

I loved this dark retelling of Little Mermaid!! Ophelia is definitely a very strong, determined FMC. She is determined to find out what happened to her sister and get her revenge. Bash, had me feeling all types of ways. I definitely wasn't expecting him to turn out the way he did. Ophelia and Bash, their relationship..... 🥵🥵 The cliffhanger blew me away!! I can't wait for more!!

Omg. My first dark retelling of the little mermaid even though this is far better than it. Ophelia is one amazing, hell raising siren. This whole story is immaculate. It actually deserves more than 5 star. The smut is roughly 3.5 peppers to me.

Note the ending is killing me. Talk about a cliffhanger. I need more asap. I hope there will be a second book.

OMG!!!! I need to know what happens…. This book is a retelling of the little mermaid and it was amazing!!!! Rhea’s writing is fantastic…. Ophelia (FMC) is looking for revenge instead of her prince and she would stop a nothing to get it!!This novella has everything and will have you wanting more when you are done!!!!
