Once again , I was lucky enough to have inherited the entire series (hard bound collection) and it inspired a young boy to dream Of being a cowboy. Sometimes his writings can be long in the tooth with chapter long descriptions of a mountain or trail but the tale weaving was epic and while I have read almost all of them many times I would never be able to pick out a favorite but I just recently read spirit of the border and fell in love all over again with his writing, it's a must read for a young adventurer .

Then Greg collected works

I learned much about the hunting and fishing and was done by Mr. Gray, I did not know he was so deeply into fishing but I learned a lot about the different things that could be done.
