The time has come to claim my throne, but am I willing to risk rejection from one last, grumpy holdout?
Rorik is stubborn and set in his ways. Centuries of pain have left this warrior closed-off and surly. To win him over, I’ll need to prove I'm worthy to take the throne.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is book 5 in our fae queen series. And yet again a lot of twist plots, action packed, still wonderfull Characters, great worldbuilding and easy to read. Things everytime heat more op for Glori every book is more heated then before. im not ready to leave this world yet. Not even when i got book 6 in march. So i probaly will re read every book in this serie!!
This series has definitely improved a lot with each book. I started out hating all the characters, Glori especially, but now I quite like most of them. I will say though that this is definitely more poly than true reverse harem as the consorts aren't truly only devoted to her (Rorik in particular is still hung up on his ex).
Things are really hitting up for our main characters but all not smooth sailing. Thought 6 books might mean that the story dragged but still engaging plots with twists. Excited to see how it all turns out in the final book.
This is the fifth book in the six book series. She is weak but knows she must keep fighting and struggling to keep the throne. The underlies have threatened her to give up the throne or she will lose her loved ones. Her link to the tree of life is barely hanging on. She knows her only chance is to bond with her last consort but he refuses and that is her only chance. This book was exciting. I could not put it down. I needed to know what would happen. I think this is the best book of the series so far. I cannot wait for book number six.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
The Unseelie are trying to get their hands on her magic again. Now they may have someone close to Glori and threatened to harm them. While this is going on, she has to bond with her final consort. Can she get her most stubborn consort to bond or is he just way too stubborn to agree?
This was a really good book. I liked the different characters -even the grumpy one (Rorik). Love this authors writing style and how this story is coming together. The plot is keeping me engaged in the story -best one of the series yet!
This continues Glori and her consorts' journey. It is full of twists, action, and continued world building. I love the variety in personalities. This has heat and great development in Glori's relationships especially with one of the more stubborn ones.
Another solid addition with more plot twists, action as the world comes more alive with even more well developed characters. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Progress made toward returning lost magic and defeating the unseelie, though that was tempered by a lot of defeatism and strife. Looking forward to the conclusion.
I’m determined to see this through but every book is more disappointing that the last.
I like Merc but she’s a deterrent to the entire storyline. Glori constantly leaving to go back to earth and move Merc is annoying AF and adds little to the story. Idk why the author chose to make it so humans can’t come until their realm. It would have made their friendship much more enjoyable. Instead the only time she goes to see her best friend is when she’s upset. I feel bad for Merc. She’s always supportive and Glori just uses her. 🙄 it’s not healthy.
And don’t even get me started on annoying AF and unhealthy. Her consorts. Omfg.
We have 300 pages in the next book to wrap this thing up and 3 of these mofos are the whiniest twats 🙄🙄🙄 only 2 of them are worthwhile. The other 3 have red flags and toxic traits. 1 of them is petty. And they are supposed to be older and more mature and open. Riiiiight.
They also spend no time with her. Only the 2 actively spend time around here and care for her. The others don’t even spend the night in her bed to sleep. They only cause her stress, have sex when needed for the ceremony, or need her to coddle their volatile emotions or be a verbal punching bag. Half the time I don’t even like Glori, but I hate the way these guys treat her. It’s selfish.
I wish she had taken other consorts. Or had the nerve to kick some of them to the curb.
Glori is again second guessing everything about herself and being a queen. Oh yay. 🙄 just what I want to still be reading 1500 pages into a series. And the truth is, she isn’t a good queen. She doesn’t even try. All she does is sits around and broods. At least her younger consorts train. She hasn’t in several books. Neither magic or physically. And the next is entitled warrior queen. Riiiiight.
I’m this far in so I’m going to finish the thing but I am not feeling optimistic…
THIS IS NOT A RH SERIES!!! It is ultimately an open poly series, so if you go into this expecting the guys to all be focused within the harem, you will be greatly disappointed. If you don’t care about the relationship dynamics, then I would certainly recommend it.
Well then. That just happened. I’m eager to start the final book, but wanted to take a minute to write down my thoughts.
This book is heartbreaking, full of conflicted emotions all around, and so much guilt and frustration! It is also filled with steadfast determination, the need to protect and get justice for those fallen, and ultimately to find equal unity for the Fae.
I don’t have the spoons to write a more in depth review, just know that this book is powerful and that I still want to nut punch Rorik. I’ll be honest, I don’t altogether like how the consort bond between Glori and Rorik is written. I feel the author jumped the shark, and for that reason I removed half a star from the rating. Solid 4.5 stars though and now I need to start the final book!
Things are finally picking up in this series, though I still don't really like any of the characters, and find Glori to still be a pretty dumb heroine. She just consistently makes bad decisions and then whines about how it's not really her fault she did something stupid. She also consistently takes no agency in her relationships at all. She should have touched base with Nolan to make sure he was okay and that they were okay. She should have confronted Rorik to find out wtf he wanted from her, or at least to tell him to stop sulking. She should have told Lyall to stfu and be the Guardleader and stop whining. And she should tell Angel to stop flirting with Valente right in front of her. Kenji is about the only one who isn't annoying all the time, but that's because he's just sort of there and not really fleshed out. Five books in, and other characters are telling me Glori has grown, she's stronger, etc, but I'm not seeing a lot of actual strength from her.
The series has definitely improved the further along it's gotten. As the plot thickens and Glori's relationships with her consorts are tested, I found myself speeding through this entry trying to find out what happens next. There were still a few unnecessary scenes and weird character choices, but overall I enjoyed it. I'm a bit sad that the next book is the last, but I also can't wait to see how everything comes together in the end!
She has redeemed herself quite a bit by the end of this book. I think I feel as Rorik in that she has potential, she just needs to be pushed and prodded. I'm interested to see how some of the issues resolve in the next book. I have theories about it and I'm eager to see if I'm right.
1st reading: Is it just me, or is the plot getting dragged out? I'm curious how the Veela and Kitsune magic will be restored, as it seems apparent that heirs can only restore their own race's magic. The answer better be plausible.

I mean I was upset I got 97% through the book without even realising the time and pages had gone (kindle reader) and now I need to wait for the next instalment :(
Alright. So what a disappointment this storyline has been. The bones for it to be wonderful is there! RIGHT FREAKING THERE. But unfortunately the author is letting us down.
