"Had me hooked from the first line. The characters are complex in a way that makes it impossible to tell who to trust.."—Tasha Coryell, author of Love Letters to a Serial Killer

On the evening she met exonerated murderer Thomas Danver, Melissa Burke let him help put her five-year-old son to bed before coming back upstairs to enjoy the dinner party. Thomas was so nice, and a pediatrician. She didn't know anything then about his wife's suspicious death...

Relocating with her 5-year-old son to a new city after an ugly divorce, Melissa Burke isn't looking for a new relationship right away—only distance from her ex, and space to rest and heal from the emotional scars of a broken marriage. But an unexpected relationship is exactly what she finds at a friend's dinner party when she meets Thomas Danver, a charming widower who asks for her number at the end of the night. Intrigued, Melissa learns from her neighbors that Thomas is a dedicated father of two girls, one of the most respected pediatricians in the city—and an exonerated murderer.

Thomas's first wife went missing three years ago, presumed dead, and Thomas was eventually cleared of her murder in an investigation that became a local media sensation. But while some still believe he killed his wife, Melissa's friends insist that he was unfairly targeted by the police and couldn't hurt a fly. Attracted to Thomas and also fascinated by the case, Melissa agrees to one date—and finds herself quickly swept into an obsessive, whirlwind romance.

But when Melissa receives a chilling, anonymous threat—or perhaps it's a warning—she begins to question how much she truly knows about the man she's falling in love with. Is he really innocent?

Who doesn’t love a messy filled domestic thriller? When they’re done right, I’m all for it. This one was just what I needed.

Have you ever been so smitten with someone at first that you were blinded? Blinded by their charm. In awe of that gorgeous face? And a career to top it off!

Melissa meets Thomas one day at her friend’s dinner party. He’s gorgeous, a doctor and a real catch. The catch is, he’s been accused of mur.dering his wife three years ago. Her body’s still missing.

After a whirlwind romance, secrets come to light. Did Thomas commit the crime or is it truly someone else?

This is told from the diary entries of his past wife, Rose, and then in the present. As the diary entries progressed, I just couldn’t put it down! This a must read for domestic thriller lovers!

A fast paced and surprising domestic thriller that is so easy to binge read. Certainly caught me off guard a few times which is a good thing.

Melissa has just gone through a messy divorce and is looking for a new start with her young son. Thomas is a charming doctor whose wife went missing 3 years ago. Instant attraction and they begin a heated relationship. But rumours about what happened to Rose, Thomas's wife are still going strong and all fingers point to him.

I loved that we heard Rose’s voice through diary entries, as well as recordings of Thomas and his friend and therapist Amelia. Grab the popcorn and get comfortable with this one.

Many thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the gifted copy of Stay Away from Him by Andrew DeYoung. All opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this one! I did not see the twist coming until the very end. It kept me on my toes which is all I can ask for in a thriller. I read a lot of domestic thrillers and it is one of my favorite tropes. This one separated its self and really felt like something I have not read before which is not always easy to do in the thriller genre. A domestic thriller with a dash of romantic suspense had me hooked from the first chapter. If you love twists , turns, and questioning every single character in a book then I definitely recommend this one! I can't wait to check out more of Andrew DeYoung's books!

Single mom and recently divorced Melissa is looking for a fresh start for her and her son after a grueling divorce. While getting her life back on track she meets Thomas Danver who checks all of her boxes for a potential partner. The only thing about Thomas is he may have killed his first wife, Rose. Rose went missing and was never found and because of this no one was ever charged with her murder and disappearance but that did not stop the world from saying that it's always the husband. As Melissa and Thomas venture into their new relationship she begins to question Thomas and his intentions with her as well as questioning if he is truly the man the media views him as - a wife killer or the sweet man who has swept her off of her feet.

Some of the characters choices had me shaking my head I really wanted to be like "REALLY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" At times I was frustrated with them but in the end that ended up adding to the suspense and had me questioning literally everyone.

This twisted domestic suspense is out now and I highly recommend adding it your tbr!

My favourite part of this book has to be the various writing formats. We have the point of view of the main character Melissa, a mother and divorcee who moves with the hopes of self healing but ends up falling for Thomas a widower. Relationships can be harder the older you get especially after divorce and grief but everything seems like a whirlwind romance until Melissa’s starts to have questions and concerns about Thomas.

That takes us to our next writing format, the perspective of Thomas as seen from therapy sessions and transcripts. This one was super interesting for me because I was still trying to decide whether to take this POV at face value or whether to question my opinion on Thomas if he is trustworthy or not.

And lastly my favourite format is the pov of Thomas’ deceased wife via her journal entries.. I mean you can find out a lot of tea in journal entries so this was a fun portion of the book for me!

Overall a well rounded suspense / thriller with lots of character driven plot and a couple surprise twists.

Thank you for the gifted copy!

Thriller friends—pass on this one.
I don’t like giving bad reviews, but this book was ridiculous.
The first and last 15% were awesome! The middle 70% was dull. I didn’t connect with any of the characters and the pace that Melissa and Thomas developed a relationship was unbelievable to the point where I was actually rolling my eyes.
I appreciated the authors plot, but it could have been executed in a more suspenseful and realistic manner.

This one hooked me from the first page and didn't let go! I'll admit that I guessed the twist by the halfway mark, but I can also see how it might surprise folks, especially if you don't read a lot of thrillers. I was also impressed by the mental health and psychopathy representation, as it seemed apparent the author did his research. I tend to be verrrry nervous when male thriller or horror authors make the decision to write a woman MC, but in this case I have no critiques and was honestly impressed. I'll definitely be keeping this author on my radar from now on!

*Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for offering me a free eARC in exchange for an honest review*

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Loved This One!

The uncertainty around Thomas’s innocence was so well done! I kept going back and forth the entire time, never sure what to believe. Just when I thought I had it figured out, the story took a turn I never saw coming. The twists were perfectly placed, keeping me hooked until the very last page.

Now, I will say that the pace of Melissa and Thomas’s relationship moved fast, almost unrealistically so but honestly? That didn’t take away from my enjoyment at all. I understand that books are fiction, and not everything needs to be completely believable for a story to be engaging. If anything, the whirlwind romance only added to the suspense, making me question everything even more.

If you love thrillers that keep you guessing until the very end, with a dark, unsettling romance at the center, this is the book for you. Highly recommend!

Continuing my goal to read as many new to me authors as possible came my first novel by Andrew DeYoung which I enjoyed thoroughly. I was hooked the very first line until the very last. I enjoy a domestic thriller with a little twist at the end. I guessed it halfway but still enjoyed it. 3.5 🌟 round up to 4.

4.5 stars!!

From the very first page, this book had me hooked! The writing is sharp, and the suspense builds with every chapter. You’ll find yourself playing detective, but good luck trying to figure out whodunit—trust me, you won’t! So, grab a cozy spot and prepare for a wild ride, because I dare you to make a guess! Ha!

Melissa Burke relocates with her young son after a painful divorce, seeking distance and healing. At a dinner party, she meets Thomas Danver, a charming widower and respected pediatrician, who is also an exonerated murderer. Thomas's first wife went missing three years ago, and although he was cleared of her murder, some believe he is guilty. Despite warnings from friends about his past, Melissa is drawn to Thomas, and they begin an intense romance. However, when she receives an anonymous threat, she starts to question his innocence and how well she knows him.

Our protagonist, Melissa, is attempting to start anew, but complications abound. In many thrillers, readers are encouraged to step into the characters' shoes, and this one is no exception. You might think you have a handle on the clues and potential suspects, but let me tell you, you really don’t! When your instincts fail you, who can you trust? What adds an extra layer of intrigue is the perspective of Rose, the missing wife. Her point of view makes the mystery of her disappearance all the more dramatic and believable—after all, we all have our suspicions about the spouse, don’t we?

The writing flows smoothly and at a brisk pace, keeping me on the edge of my seat as I tried to piece together the puzzle at every twist and turn. If you’re a fan of thrillers that keep you guessing with a cast of intriguing characters and believable scenarios that only come together at the end, then this is your perfect summer read. It’s the kind of book you can binge-read in one sitting, thanks to its captivating twists and turns. Happy reading!

Thank you, Poisoned Pen Press, for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This one started off strong, had a fairly boring middle, and then a thrilling but predictable end.

We start off really intense with a bad divorce, insta romance, and a gripping mystery. However, it quickly gets boring and icky with the love bombing and a woman who makes continuous bad choices. I’m sorry, but if you just got out of a bad divorce, your primary concern should be your son and it felt like she kept risking his safety. Who leaves their kid with teens they have never met? With no references besides a man who is showing obsessive tendencies early on.

Then, despite the evidence rolling in that your new guy probably killed his first wife, you overlook it all because of a feeling? Even if your feeling is right, that’s a ton to rush into and bring a child into. All her thoughts and feelings and actions were so unfathomable to me I couldn’t connect with her at all. The whole middle is just dealing with these choices.

The ending, was fast paced, thrilling, and good even if it was predictable. But I felt like I needed a little bit more than we got.

I loved the messages from Rose and the therapist transcripts, but it all felt like it was missing depth. Overall, it was fine, but not for me.

Wow, I could not put this book down. I was captivated immediately. Imagine Scott Peterson never being charged for his crimes, what would everyone think of him? What would happen when he started dating again? This book wastes no time getting right into it. We meet Melissa, newly divorced and single mom who gets wooed by Thomas, local pediatrician. Thomas’ wife disappeared 3 years ago and he was originally charged with her murder but the charges were eventually dropped. This book was expertly plotted, everything tied together perfectly. There were so many twists and turns I did not see coming! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the opportunity to read and review. 🩷

I absolutely devoured this book!! The writing really pulled me in and the characters were likable and well developed. This was a story that kept me on my toes with the view points from Melissa (our FMC) and the snippets from Thomas (our MMC). I kept guessing plot lines and had my suspicions along the way- because who wouldn’t trust a pediatrician and doting father!?- but found that I had it all wrong…which I loved!! I enjoy books that aren’t predictable and keep you engaged and wanting more. This story did just that for me and has left me wanting to read more from this author!!

This was thriller pulled me in right away I flew through it! New to town Melissa healing from a divorce meets a charming local doctor Thomas who she is drawn to right away, he is handsome, good with a son, the only catch is that he was accused of killing his missing presumed dead wife!

As soon as I found that out I was like girl, run! But that would not make for a good domestic thriller so of course she jumps rather quickly into a romance with him all while wondering if the man she is falling in love with is innocent!

This was a solid thriller, I haven’t tried anything by this author before and I really was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the format of this book, how alongside the chapters we get to hear diary entries wrote by Thomas’s missing wife as well as therapy sessions from him, himself.

I was 50/50 on this story. I found myself questioning DNFing but was still had my attention so I kept with it. While most of the story is predictable I did find the ending a nice little twist.

There's so many possible perpetrators in this story. While you think you know who did the crime the ending was surprising. I enjoyed that this was told through Melissa's pov, audio recordings, and Rose's journal. So you get a feel for some of the characters personalities.

I found the characters interesting. Parts were frustrating. I was wishing Melissa would stop second guessing herself and just trust her instinct. Overall a good thriller.

Stay Away From Him by Andrew DeYoung. Thanks to @poisonedpenpress for the gifted Arc ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When Melissa meets Thomas she thinks he’s the perfect boyfriend; a doctor, friendly, and great with kids. He’s also available because his wife is missing, believed to be dead ; many believe by him.

This was a good popcorn thriller perfect for a summer beach read. It took me some time to get into it. The latter half is much more fast paced than the first half as we get to know the characters and history. The end is exciting because there are several fake me outs, so you’ll likely never guess the truth.

“I wonder, am I the problem? Or is it my life that is making me this way? Am I mad ? Or am I being driven mad.”

Stay Away From Him comes out 7/8.

Woweee! This was a five-star read for me and it came right when I was in a bit of a thriller reading slump, so the timing couldn’t have been better. I’m shouting this one from the rooftops!

I was completely invested in the characters and every twist of their tangled, messy drama. There were definitely a lot of complicated dynamics and secrets woven throughout the plot, but it never felt confusing or overwhelming. In fact, it was all so cleanly written and expertly executed that I found myself flying through the pages.

There was a little bit of spice sprinkled in, which I appreciated. It added just enough tension without taking over the whole storyline. That said, if I had one tiny gripe, it would be that the romance felt a little rushed and unrealistic. I still enjoyed it, but I did wish it had a bit more development.

What really made this book such a blast for me was the fact that the “killer” could have been anyone right up until the very end. Every single character had sketchy motives and secrets of their own, and I loved trying to piece it all together. The complicated relationships between them only added to the suspense and made the story even more gripping.

This was the perfect kind of thriller for me. When I tell people I love mystery thrillers, this is exactly what I mean. Highly recommend!

A massive THANK YOU to #NetGalley and #PoisonedPenPress and of course, #AndrewDeYoung for the chance to read this one early in exchange for an honest review.

Melissa meets Thomas, a man who appears perfect so of course there must be something wrong with him. She wasn’t expecting him to be an accused murderer though! His wife disappeared a few years back and everyone suspected him but he was never charged and her body was never found. So the book basically is about her deciding if she believes the rumors or not and how she’ll handle her budding relationship with him. She also has a young son and is freshly divorced so that adds to the ‘should I or shouldn’t I’ aspect. Most women would probably decide it’s not worth it, but then we wouldn’t have a story.

The reader not only sees from her point of view but also from excerpts from Thomas in therapy. So we have a little more perspective, but one that is carefully crafted so we’re still not sure one way or the other. Towards the conclusion, there are some other characters that skew the perspective a bit and many readers will probably be surprised by the outcome. Based on a few clues, I saw it coming but it did seem a little ‘out of left field’ at the end.

It's a fun book and I’d read more by this author based on it. Maybe the next lead female character will be a bit more discerning with her relationships, though!

Quick Take Review 💥:

More of a romantic suspense than a thriller, since the relationship between the two main characters more or less overshadows everything else. Entertaining enough, with good twists, but it's pretty easy to figure out who the killer was fairly early on if you pay close enough attention.

This is a slow burn, so be prepared to sit tight for a while until the action starts.

A lighter read to pick up between denser books.

In Depth Review 👇

 Plot/Writing 📄:

After an ugly divorce, single mother Melissa Burke and her five-year-old son move to a new city for a fresh start on life. One evening at a friend’s dinner party, she meets Dr. Thomas Danver, a pediatrician and father, who, unbeknownst to Melissa, had been exonerated for the murder of his ex-wife, who had been missing for three years.

Although Melissa hadn’t been looking for a new relationship at the time, she feels unexpected sparks with Thomas and finds herself excited when the charismatic widower asks for her number. The people around her insist that Thomas was innocent and unfairly targeted by police, so Melissa agrees to go out with him, and after one date the pair find themselves caught up in a whirlwind romance.

Things seem to be going well, and as the relationship progresses, Melissa finds herself on the receiving end of an anonymous threat. How well does Melissa know the man she is falling in love with? Is Thomas as innocent as he makes himself out to be?

Andrew DeYoung’s writing flows nicely and is easy to follow. Everything in the story is explained well without being overcomplex. The short chapters in the book make it a breeze to get through, despite this being a slow burn. The author managed to hook me from the start but lost me about halfway through. I had to push through the middle half of the book and unfortunately figured out who the killer was pretty early on. I had been hoping I was wrong for the sake of being shocked; sadly, I was not.

Even though I solved the murder early on, I did enjoy two of the twists, as they caught me completely off guard. I didn’t see them coming from a mile away.

Main Characters 👫:

Melissa Burke – I just couldn’t get on board with Melissa. She wasn’t a dumb woman by any means, but she seemed to make dumb choices. I really found it hard to like her. I’m not sure why. I think her reckless decisions with Thomas made me lose sympathy for her relatively quickly. While she wasn’t unenjoyable enough to ruin the book for me, she did make me roll my eyes a TON.

Thomas Danver – I surprisingly enjoyed Thomas’s character. He seemed kind and charming enough. He was respectful towards Melissa and her son, Bradley. Thomas was an all-around good guy (or was he?). Despite that, he did give me the ick at times. I mean, come on, nobody is THAT perfect.

Side Characters 👫:

Amelia Harkness - I found myself feeling indifferent towards Amelia. I didn’t like nor dislike her. She was a bit intense when it came to Thomas, although she was his ex-girlfriend, so that could be due to some lingering feelings on her end. In general it did seem like she did her best to be welcoming towards Melissa.

Kelli Walker - At first, I didn’t care for Kelli’s character; however, she slowly grew on me. In her mind, I do believe she thinks she is doing what’s best for all parties involved with Thomas, despite going about it the very wrong way.

Pros 🙂:

* We get right into things from the very first page. The author wastes no time, and we dive headfirst into the night Melissa and Thomas meet. I don’t enjoy when it takes a while for things to really get going in a book and the main characters crossing paths is super drawn out.

* The twists in this book were very well done. I wasn’t able to figure it out at all. I never saw it coming. The bread crumbs were planted well within the plot and did not jump out right away.

* I really enjoyed the mixed media parts of the book. It was interesting reading Rose’s journal entries to get her perspective on the situation and reading the transcripts from Thomas’s therapy sessions with Amelia. Getting a peek into all the characters’ minds in different ways was so fun.

* Everyone was a suspect, and I AM HERE FOR IT! I did find it fun that most of the characters we were introduced to were a bit shady.

* The ending of the story was decent enough, and while nothing about it stood out, I left the book feeling satisfied.

 Cons 😟:

* Things with the plot were a bit hard to believe at times (elaborated on in the “Other Thoughts” section).

* I’m not a big fan of the whole “love at first sight” thing, but to each their own! This aspect of the story seemed unbelievable and over the top. (elaborated on in the “Other Thoughts” section).

* Despite (more or less) everyone being a suspect, I managed to figure out who Rose’s killer was fairly early on. I was pretty bummed about this since I was hoping for more of a challenge. While not a lot of clues are dropped throughout the book, if you pay close enough attention, it’s not hard to figure out.

* Even though I was pulled into the story right away, I was never dying to know what happened next. The plot held my interest enough, but I often found myself struggling to pick this up at times. I honestly thought about DNFing once or twice.

Other Thoughts 💭:

* At times the story was a bit far-fetched, and you had to suspend reality a bit. Especially the romance aspect. However, that happens in a good chunk of fiction books, and the story was overall enjoyable, so that aspect of the plot didn’t bother me too much.

* The whole relationship between Thomas and Melissa moved WAY TOO FAST! (In my humble opinion). Within 24 hours of meeting, they are having sex and talking about very heavy topics. Within 48 hours of meeting, they are telling each other that they’re falling in love with one another. Given what both had been through in the past, I found it odd.

* Melissa made reckless choices for a woman who had recently gotten out of an abusive marriage. I don’t believe she would have fallen for a man the moment she met him after dealing with such a traumatic situation. Bringing Thomas into her home/bed, inviting him to meet her son, and “falling in love” almost instantly just didn’t seem realistic.

* I feel as though Thomas would have been more hesitant as well, given he had lost his wife in a traumatic way three years prior. Surely, being accused of and subsequently acquitted of murder would give him trust issues and make him wary of the people around him.

* This shouldn’t have been marketed as a thriller. It was at best a romantic suspense book. There is a thriller aspect to the plot, but it is heavily overshadowed by the romance between Melissa and Thomas. In my opinion, this is being improperly marketed.

Favorite Quotes 💕:

“They’re more tied up than we think, love and hate— both emotions are a confession that someone matters to us, that they have power over how we feel.”

“Our genuine feelings aren’t always what others would recognize as socially appropriate.”

“An unhappy woman would usually turn her problems inward and hurt herself, emotionally or even physically.”

“Respectable men can be evil too.”

Final Verdict ⚖️

I would recommend this book to a friend but let them know not to expect too much going into it.

As always, please remember that reading is subjective, and that’s what makes it so great. 😊

I would like to thank Poisoned Pen Press and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read and review an ARC of this book.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM by Andrew DeYoung

“No one bothered telling Melissa that Thomas Danver was an accused murderer.”

Melissa has recently got out of a messy marriage and is on her own with her son Bradley. She lives in a basement apartment in Minnesota at her friends’ home. Melissa is finally feeling safer and she has her focus on Bradley. Bradley needs structure and stability after leaving his controlling father who never has left Bradley feeling comfortable in his presence.

The friends Melissa is staying with have thrown a party. She comes in contact with a gorgeous man in which conversation starts, frosted cocktails are doled out, and an instant connection has taken hold between them both.

As Melissa and Thomas continue to see each other, strengthening their bond, unsettling information presents itself to Melissa. Melissa is not sure what to believe since Thomas is nothing short of wonderful with her son Bradley, his own daughters, herself, and those around him. She is at a time in her life where she needs space, but Thomas is everything she dreams a partner would and should be. Should she trust what lies deep in her heart or those that are trying to warn her? Can she rely on the opinion of those that claim Thomas is a wonderful man?

Stay Away From Him grabbed a hold of me from the first first line and wouldn’t let go. I was instantly hooked and needed to see for myself who Thomas Danver was and what made him tick. This novel was fast paced and thoroughly enjoyed! What a read! If you are looking for an immersive well written book for this summer, LOOK NO FURTHER!

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for providing me with an ARC to read in exchange for an honest review. This book is out for publication today, July 8th. Please check out this worthy read!

This was a book I read in a 24-hour period. From the very first sentence, “No one bothered telling Melissa that Thomas Danver was an accused murderer,” I was pulled in and couldn’t put this book down. Melissa connects with Thomas at a dinner party, and right away their eyes meet, they flirt, and then they sit down at the dinner table together. When he introduces his full name to her without any reaction, he is aware that she doesn’t know who he is. You see, Thomas has been accused of the death of his wife, but all of his friends believe he is innocent. He’s a good husband, father of two, and a great pediatrician. The people outside of their friend group believe he is at fault, but with no real evidence, he was never convicted. While talking, she finds out he is a widow. It’s not until after everyone is gone that she finds out there is more to his story than he revealed, and she is warned to stay away.

This book had me going. We get the point of view from Thomas’s wife through several diary entries left behind, we hear from his best friend, Amelia, with whom he also had a relationship before he met his wife, and we get Thomas’s side. Who is telling the truth? Who is hiding secrets? There are twists! There was a jaw dropping moment for me. There are a few other characters involved as well, like the so-called best friend of the wife, a private detective, and Thomas’s two daughters. Even though there are several characters, this book is very easy to follow, with great visuals described throughout. Towards the end when we find out the truth, the visuals are downright eerie!!
Stay Away From Him is a perfect read for fans of Freida McFadden, and this is a great book to add to your summerween reading list when you’re in the mood for something spooky but not too scary leading up to the fall season.

"No one bothered telling Melissa that Thomas Danver was an accused murderer. Not until she'd already spent a whole evening flirting with him."

After leaving a bad marriage, Melissa has taken her five-year-old son to the Twin Cities to start fresh. What she doesn't expect is for a new charming man to enter her life so quickly, let alone one who was accused of killing his wife three years ago. She's ready to cast all suspicion aside until she receives a threatening note.

STAY AWAY FROM HIM by Andrew DeYoung is a fast-paced domestic thriller that will have you flipping pages.

The present timeline is intercut with therapist transcripts and journal entries from three years prior, which added a really nice dimension to the story and helped break up the monotony of Melissa and Thomas' budding relationship (more on this later lol)

DeYoung pulled me into this story right away and threw in a few nuggets of intrigue along the way, which kept me reading and wanting answers.

However, the whole Melissa and Thomas of it all was laughable and made it hard for me to truly love this book once we hit the 25% mark. It felt very unrealistic to have a woman who just left a very toxic relationship (with her toddler son in tow) to all of a sudden fall in love with a convicted murderer 24 hours after meeting him - this was just the tip of the iceberg for me.

I struggled to really engage with the story with that as a backdrop, but it was a very quick read regardless and seems to be a hit with a lot of other early readers, so do with that what you will!

Thanks to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for the early copy for review - out July 8!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC of Stay Away from Him.

4.5/5 rounded up;

Hot wealthy man, who becomes obsessed with you? What could go wrong…oh maybe the fact that he’s been accused of murdering his wife.

I knocked this out in 2 sittings, from page 1 until the end the suspense was killing me. I think I changed my mind on who murdered Rose at least 3 times, and then the actual reveal completely shocked me. It’s hard for a thriller to pull me in after reading so many, but this did just that. If you enjoy questioning yourself, gaslighting, drama, and some murder then this is for you.

I loved how this incorporated not only present day POVs, but transcripts from Thomas’ therapy sessions, and Rose’s journal entries. It just added more to the thrill of trying to figure out what really happened. Overall, I very much enjoyed this and would recommend it to others.

Throw this one into the category of “stayed up wayyy past my bedtime and read in one sitting”! This book was excellent all around: the plot, the characters, the execution. I was completely hooked from the very first page all the at through to the satisfying ending. The chapters were a great mix between social media content, recorded interviews and present day. Fans of psych thrillers will absolutely love this one!

Thank you to Netgalley, Poisoned Pen Press and Andrew DeYoung for an opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for my honest review! Stay Away From Him comes out July 8th!!!
