Jorja was originally hired to find out if her current clients husband was being unfaithful. She took on such cases to help pay the bills on the office she leases. She thought the case of the cheating spouse was over but it has turned into a murder case. The former client has been charged with murder when her husband's mistress turns up dead. Is she innocent or did she commit the crime? Jorja is unearthing a lot of secrets and there is someone out there determined to keep her quiet. This was another enjoyable book in the series. I enjoy a cozy mystery and these Jorja Knight books fit the bill. I have never had trouble following the books individually so they each can be read as a standalone.

Another excellent chapter in the Knight series. Jorja is hired for a typical infidelity case that morphs into a murder investigation. Her skills sifting through what is relevant and what is not is tested to the limit. Jorja must also negotiate changes in her personal life. The resolution leads Jorja a merry dance. I highly recommend this book.

Jorja Knight is a private investigator. The case starts simply with a woman suspecting her husband is being unfaithful. Then it goes bad. The mistress is found dead and now the case is about a murder. Jorja becomes embroiled in a case with hidden secrets to uncover and lots of twists. It was a good story and I like Jorja. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

Knight on Edge is Book Seven in the Jorja Knight Mystery Series. Although part of a series this book could easily be read as a standalone. I do highly recommend reading all the previous books in the series because it is an amazing series plus, they provide background stories and more information on the characters. This book is a crime thriller full of mystery, danger, action, suspense, intrigue, crime danger, secrets, lies, and deception.
The story centers around the MC of Jorja Knight who is a Private Investigator in Calgary. Her latest case seems easy at first when she takes on a routine case of infidelity. However, it quickly turns into something more complex when the mistress of her client’s husband turns up dead. Jorja is quickly pulled into the middle of a murder investigation that she feels obligated to help solve. As Jorja digs into the past of the victim she uncovers a twisted maze of secrets, lies, and deception.
This story had me riveted from the first pages as I tried to solve the crime and figure out whodunnit. The complex cast of characters kept me guessing because they were all possible suspects that added intrigue to the storyline. I love that the female MC is a Canadian PI and that the author is a Canadian crime writer who uses Calgary as the setting for this mystery.

Again, we join Jorja Knight, who we met in the previous books, as she takes on a simple infidelity case which takes a deadly turn. Untangling the shocking truth will test Jorja far more than she imagined when she signed up for the case, especially when she has her own personal struggles to contend with as well. What happens makes for another gripping read.
Even though this is the seventh book in the series, you can read it as a standalone without feeling like you are missing anything. Having said that though, the other books in the series make for great reading too- and contain their own intriguing mysteries for Jorja to solve. They also provide more character information, background stories, and other interesting details which, all combined, will definitely enhance your appreciation of this book, as well as the series as a whole.

Knight on Edge is the 7th book in the Jorja Knight Mystery Series but each of these books can be read as a standalone and followed easily. As with the previous books that I have read in the series, this book is fast paced and full of twists, danger, suspense, and great story building. Jorja Knight, Private Investigator, is hired by a client to delve into her husband and find out if he is being unfaithful. As suspected, the husband was caught red handed. What should be a routine open and closed case turns into a much deeper and darker case when the mistress turns up dead and the wife's gun is mysteriously missing. Did the client kill the mistress out of jealousy and spite? Is someone else involved? Jorja has her own battles to fight as well as this constantly escalating case. What is she to do now that the client that hired her is also a suspect? Knight on Edge will keep you guessing and digging deeper into the mystery. It has a great storyline, believable characters, and a fun buildup. I will continue to read more from this author and would recommend it to anyone that loves murder-mystery suspense thrillers.

Knight On Edge (Jorja Knight Mystery Series) by Alice Bienia. I love this series and book #7 is my favorite but then again I say that about each book. They can be read as standalone but I highly recommend reading them in order. It's the continuing story of Jorja Knight PI who is so cool that I want to be her. Jorja is hired by a woman that thinks her husband is having an affair which Jorja does these cases all the time but her inner alarm is telling her something is weird about this case. When the mistress turns up dead, Jorja knows she was played. Jorja ends up having to be part of the murder investigation and does her own investigation to find out if the woman that hired her is really the killer everyone thinks she is. What she finds is all kinds of deep dark secrets that will change everything about this case. Jorja is also has someone after her and they are threatening everything she has built for herself. Read this fast paced book to find out who the killer is!

With this being the first book I had read by this author, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. The intriguing cover and mysterious synopsis pulled me in leaving me no choice but to give it a whirl! I didn’t realize that this was the 7th book in a series, but the author does a marvelous job with creating it as a strong standalone. I am so impressed with this book that I fully plan on picking up the entire series now though. The flow of this story is flawless as it feels like I flew through nearly 400 pages in a day. I couldn’t find it in myself to put it down! Our main character, Jorja, is an incredibly intelligent heroine full of gumption. As a private investigator, it seems like jobs would be a little boring sometimes, but I was proven wrong. There were twists and turns I never saw coming and I was captivated from the very first page to the very last. If you are looking for a gripping and mysterious crime read, you don’t want to miss this one!

Another enjoyable and entertaining mystery featuring private investigator Jorja Knight. Her latest case appears to be routine, proving a husband’s supposed infidelity. However, when the mistress turns up dead she worries that her investigation may have led to the death. Jorja is then involved in the murder investigation having been hired by the defense lawyer. The more she discovers questions are raised about the accused’s innocence. Whilst dealing with personal crises Jorja unearths secrets in the victim’s past, and discovers more deceptions and deadly motives. Jorja is determined to expose the killer and uncover the real motive, even if the person she’s defending is the one who pulled the trigger! I loved being back with our smart, gutsy heroine Jorja as she investigates another intriguing mystery. The fast paced storyline with plenty of plot twists kept me hooked throughout.

Reading the previous Jorja Knight’s cases have left me intrigued and hooked to see what happens next. Being a big fan of mysteries and solving cases, I love reading about a strong female private investigator in this series. In this book, the focus is on a case of infidelity but it ends up being something different than what it seems. A murder takes place and now a trial is emerging where dark secrets and hidden pasts are uncovered. Through the storyline’s twists and turns, it keeps the readers on the edge of their seats as they depict each moment of truth unraveled. I struggled not being able to keep reading till the end. Bienia definitely has a trance over the readers to see what will happen next to Jorja. Although I’ve been trying to catch up with the series from the beginning, readers can jump into whichever book as they could be standalone selections as well.

Knight On Edge by Alice Bienia is like a campy murder mystery. The story writing blended really well with the murder but also with hearing about Jorja's life. This book is great for people who love who dun its books, people working in detective agencies, and people who love action-packed books. The book also talks about how the wife suspects her husband of cheating and killing his lover because her gun is missing. The book also focuses on the police doing their job but also how the wife keeps calling to get more clues about the case of the murdered victim. Who do you think the killer is, was it the wife trying to frame the husband for murder or was it the jealous husband thinking that the wife is cheating? Find out in this new murder mystery book.

Jorja is at it again in this book. Alice has done a really good job and I can say I'm fairly addicted to this series. I love that each book is a standalone and you can pick up anytime during the series. In this book Jorja is helping a wife build a case for infidelity, but when things go sideways and the mistress end up dead, Jorja is pulled into the murder case. So many secrets and some pretty interesting history is unveiled, Jorja manages to find out answers that helps her get the answers she needs. Or does it? In this 7th installment we continue to find out things about or FMC that we didn't know before. I love reading Jorja's adventures and cases that she takes on. I can't wait to read more!

This book had me on pins and needles throughout the entire storyline, even parts that seem to not be apart of the initial story. You see Jorja Knight is a PI (Private Investigator) who was hired by Sherrie Lancaster to find out if her husband is actually cheating on her. Jorja finds out what the wife had are already suspected and in the process of letting her client know, things take a turn for the worse. I promise you that this book is worth the read. I hated having to put it down. This book also pulls Jorja’s personal life into play. I feel like I lost some information along way, so I do believe that you will need to read the book before so that you aren’t lost on some parts (mostly the personal parts). Definitely going to be checking out the previous book.

Knight on Edge is book 7 of the Jorja Knight Mystery Series by Alice Bienia. I have not read the previous 6 books in the series, but did not find that it was an issue when reading this book. In this book, Jorja Knight, a PI, is hired to investigate her client's husband to see if he is being unfaithful. The husband is guilty, but the real shock comes when the husband's mistress ends up dead and the wife's gun is missing. Did her client murder the mistress? This is a fast paced and suspenseful book, and I'm very much looking forward to going back to read the previous books in this series. I've not read any other books by this author, but I will definitely be doing so now that I've discovered her works.

This is yet another fantastic addition to an already great series. I find it so easy to reconnect with this character each and every time. I love that each of her adventures are so different to each other and yet they all have such similar feel to them.
This was a really exciting book. I think this one is my favourites of the series so far. It action packed right from the start and I was pulled in so easily! The story got more complex as it went on and I felt myself being taken on the journey with the characters. This author has created a great series and I am already looking forward to the next.

Knight on Edge, the latest entry in the Jorga Knight mystery series, does not disappoint. Fans of the series will enjoy Jorga's latest adventures while new readers will undoubtedly want to also read the earlier books in the series. Jorga is a smart, resourceful private detective who brings a unique perspective to her cases. This latest mystery offers plenty of intrigue in a murder case which may revolve around a much earlier kidnapping. The novel delves into family dynamics and how these play out over time. An excellent read; I highly recommend this book.

Jorja is back but she needs to refill her bank account so she opts to take on a simple infidelity case. However, her simple case goes from simple to complex when the mistress turns up dead and her client ends up first on the list of suspects. It's up to Jorja to find out whether her client is truly innocent or truly capable of murder. She pursues the truth while trying to juggle her professional and personal worlds. This is an interesting, murder mystery with plenty of twists and turns to entertain the reader.

Jorja Knight is an independent female private investigator trying to get her business off the ground, but most of her cases end up being domestic surveillance of suspected cheating spouses. This time, however, a former client is accused of murdering the woman she caught having an affair with her husband. While the evidence seems damning, Jorja isn’t convinced of her client’s guilt. Hired by the defense attorney to dig deeper, Jorja uncovers plenty of clues but no definitive answers. This is another gripping installment in the series and definitely delivers. Highly recommended!

This is the seventh book in this series. Having started with this book, I would say you can read it as a standalone. I do think it would better to read all of the books though. I always feel it is better that way. You just don't HAVE to. You won't feel lost or like you are missing something.
I love when women in books have a "male" job and are strong female characters. The story her is well developed and it was an enjoyable read. This was a truly a mystery and it kept me guessing! I would love to read the other books in this series.

This is the 7th book in the series but can be read as a standalone with ease.
I, like so many others nowadays, am a true crime junkie, and while this isn't a true crime it is a great murder mystery. It keeps you on your toes as you try to figure out what's going on and who did it?
I love the stronger female lead, that's not something you get a lot of in crime thrillers like this and I really enjoyed getting to know her as she worked the case.
This was the first book I have read by this author but after finishing it, I'm definitely looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Knight on Edge is the seventh book in The Jorja Knight Mystery series. I have read a previous book in this series and it wasn’t in order, but I have enjoyed them all. I don’t feel lost even though I haven’t read them in order as they are all standalone mysteries. In typical Jorja, a Private Investigator, fashion no case is ever as it seems. She was hired to investigate a husband whose wife believes that he is cheating on her, but the case ends up being so much more when the mistress is found murdered. Delve into this fast paced, suspenseful novel to find out who the murderer might be.

This is book #7 in the series but can be read as a standalone. This book grabs you from the first few pages and takes you on a ride. I found myself trying to solve the case right along with Jorja. This crime thriller has it all; murder, mystery, lies, danger and so much more. A wife hires Jorja to find out if her husband is cheating on her and before you know the mistress is found dead. Jorja then finds herself in the middle of a cheating investigation turned murder case. But who did it? The characters are diverse and everyone is a suspect up until the end.

Another solid hit in this Jorja Knight series. Jorja is in the middle of a personal crisis and then gets dragged into a seemingly easy case that turns out to be not so easy! Lots of ins and outs with surprises, I was very engaged as soon as I started reading the book and couldn't put it down. Stayed up to read the whole book. Great series and this book is a great addition to the series - if you like intense thrillers.

This is book seven in The Jorja Knight Mystery series, and it does not disappoint. They just keep getting better and better. Jorja is a private detective, and I think she is pretty bada$s. She has become one my favorite heroines. You could read this and the others as a standalone, but why? Fast paced, great characters and realistic. If you love good murder mysteries full of suspense, danger, lies, secrets, adventure and so much more then this is for you.
