I absolutely loved this book, can't wait for the next one.. Brett and Evvie's love for one another is RAW and all consuming.. I love this about them , Jo-Anna has done and excellent job of capturing the emotion between them.. I love the controlling, possessive way that Brett shows his love for Evvie, whilst some people may view this as a bad thing it is what works for them and they are deeply in love because of this. It is what they both WANT and NEED......... IMO definitely a 5 Star rating...
Just need to wait and see how their story continues, please don't make us wait too long LOL...

Evvie and Brett have the most explosive relationship two young people would have. When Evvie goes to visit her boyfriend a bad surprise waits for her.
Where do I begin?
This story is ridiculous! And sorry I don’t have an idea how difficult is write a book, but Jeez all of this is absurd. I’ll describe it for sections.
Characters: Like I wrote as I read this book (check my Goodreads updates out) these people have the most co-depending, bizarre, unhealthy, relationship ever.
“I told you before and I’ll say it again. Without you, I am nothing. I don’t exist.”
“As much as I want children with you, right now I want you all to myself. I’m selfish. I couldn’t deal with you giving your love to someone else right now.”
Brett had a cruel childhood (and I really sorry for him); his mother is sick, she abused of him with her boyfriend or husband. What should he do? Go to a psychiatrist, right? But, not at all. He threatened his father with don’t talk anymore and he wins. Lovely!
As “grown man” he decided have random hook-up where he always needs to be in control. He becomes in a dominant, sadistic man. When he meets Evvie and discovers she likes the pains, he’s in heaven.
“I’m trying to take control of them. I’m trying to deal with them without having to be inside you. Without needing to control you.”
Evvie (aka the heroine), this girl is absurd. I don’t understand why she falls in love with him. Yep, he’s sexy as hell, sadistic, dominant, but all of that makes him a good lover (the author abuses of this word, by the way) but never a good man. She loves him with her pussy, simple like that.
Even though his words were soft and pleading, his actions proved he had no control. He took me rough. I was ashamed to say this or even think it and although my mind was fucking with me, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Storyline: Too many drama too little story.
Behind of the sex scenes in this book there is nothing more. Oh yes, a sick mother, a crazy ex-girlfriend, the absurd relationship between Evvie and Brett, and others unimportant persons in the background. When Brett’s mother returns to the picture, he starts a sickish necessity of possess Evvie no matter what.
Diane’s gaze looked past me and if I didn’t know any better, I’d say she was checking out her son.
Bile rose in my throat. What kind of sick person was she? Oh God. Please tell me she never…I shook my head. Brett said the abuse was never sexual. But with the way she was looking at him like she wanted to eat him alive, it made me wonder if he blocked out
When he has nightmares his solution is fuck with her, but rough sex, almost no-consensual sex. What does Evvie do? Nothing! Oh my bad, she talks a little as she is opening her legs.
Later she persuades him to go a therapist (I don’t know where he studied, but I got a feeling it was online), they go together. Why? It is not couple therapy. He had a hard childhood, his mother was a cruel woman, he has nightmares. She needs therapy? Yep, but no together.
And yesss, this a fiction book, but in a contemporary world with real adult or new adult characters, right?
The only regular thing in this book is like the half of the sex scenes and a quarter of the dirty talk.
“I’m going to be buried deep inside you, fucking you, over and over again. Every chance I get. I will show you things about your body you never knew. I will satisfy those dark cravings of yours.”
How many stars deserve this book? Let’s see.
Interesting, well development storyline? Not at all.
Lovely, interesting, inspirational characters? Nobody in this book has anything good.
Steamy sex scenes? Check (in every chapter)

I just finished Revealed by You and I loved it. If you are a fan of the Sylvia Day Crossfire series then this is for you. It runs on the same lines as them but has its own original idea. This is apart of a series, Revealed by You is the second in the series while Torn by You is the first. You have to read Torn by You to fully understand the relationship between Evvie and Brett but trust me, you are going to love it! This picks up right after TbY and now it is basically going through the ramifications of what happened. They are together but Claire is still involved and might be new additions? You never know. There are still secrets and once they come out in the open will they be able to stand strong? You will have to read and see....
I really enjoyed the story. Mrs. Walker has a way for me to get dragged in and I swear I never want to let go. I thought that the story flowed really well and was sad to see the ending because now I have to wait! I’m not very patient when it comes to stuff like this, I just want to pull my hair out but honestly it still ended in a way that I was satisfied with the outcome. Best part at least for me is yet to come!!! :)

You have no idea until you read it but plenty of sex to read about :)

I loved this book as much as the first one, if not more. It was gut wrenching, and the emotions and feelings of the author rolled off the pages that makes it one of those books that will stay with you long after you finish reading it. It will definitely give you a book hangover!
The characters Brett and Evvie are so in love, and through all the problems and evil thrown their way they struggle to stay together as they love each other so much more than most-they love "deep".
Evvie has her work cut out for her making Brett see that he is a good man and deserves everything he has, including her, and in a lot of ways she has many problems about feeling her self-worth as well. If anything all the struggles they go through together just increases their feelings.
My favorite quote of the book is when Brett has taken photos of them together and has had them blown up in black and white and framed and he puts them in the hallway of the club leading to his office. When Evvie asks him about it he says to her. "They're not as beautiful as the model. But I'm hoping that they capture the love I have for you, Evvie. I also hope that they inspire someone to find that person. That someone that makes them love...deep."
I laughed and cried reading this book, it affected me deeply, and i can honestly say these two books are my favorite books this year so far! They left me with a book hangover.
Do yourself a favor and read this book. If you don't you will never know what you have missed out on. I am so glad I discovered these books and can't wait for the next one, and any other books Jo_Anna Walker writes in the future!

My heart is breaking for my poor, f#*ked up Brett. He hasn't had it easy and you find out how in this second book. I didn't want to cry over Brett but damn it I have sobbed. It really got to me for some reason, maybe it's just because of how much of a connection you have with these characters and the connection they have with each other. This has been a powerful read, I think a lot more powerful than the first book in the trilogy. It is definitely just as good but this time we tend to see a side of Brett that I honestly didn't know was there. I am very eager to continue with this and read the final installment as I need to find out more. I also need to see some certain characters get their comeuppance. When they do I tell you I will be cheering like mad. Anyway, fantastic addition to an amazing story, just need the last installment.

Second book to the Torn trilogy and it was great. The story of Evvie and Brett continues. Their relationship gets more intense, passionate, dark and more love than anyone can imagine from the couple.
"You brighten up the sky when it's stormy. You are the air I breathe. The life that flows through me. You ground me when I feel like I'm going to float away. You keep sane when I'm ready to lose it. You love me for me even though I'm sure I frustrate you."
I can't wait for the conclusion of Evvie and Brett's story.

“Evvie, my best friend, my lover”
Revealed by you Book #2 in the “Torn” series by Jo-Anna Walker
Jo-Anna you know I love ya. You know I’m an emotional reader, right? So don’t get too upset with me. LOL
Okay here goes. As a reader have you ever had a Love/Hate relationship with a book? Well I just did with Revealed by you. I hated this book and I loved this book. When you read it hopefully you’ll understand where I’m coming from.
Brett MacLean is a possessive, controlling deeply troubled and dark man. Evvie his one, his only has a dark side to her also which Brett satisfies. The read was troubling to me on one level (since I’m not a shrink) and amazing on another level. You don’t truly know (or at least I didn’t grasp it) what happened to Brett as a child by his wicked, masochistic mother and her boyfriends. We know she beat him but honestly I felt another undertone to this read. Like what happened to Brett was just not beatings. I could be totally off base, but this was the feel of the read for me. When you read the part where his mother surfaces and the stuff she does to her own son, it makes your skin crawl. I couldn’t wrap my brain around every time Brett had a nightmare he needed to be inside Evvie, and trust me he was anything but gentle. Sometimes he was like a totally different person and totally lost control and I mean totally. I think this is what disturbed me the most. But Evvie seemed to thrive on it. This read is dark and if you enjoy lots and lots of hot rough sex you will devour it trust me. If you like vanilla sex, then I recommend you pull up your big girl panties, take a deep breath and prepare for the emotional roller coaster of your life.
The one thing you know for sure Brett MacLean is irrevocably in love with Evvie. She is his ground; she owns his heart and soul. He’s revealed things about himself that no one knows but I get the feeling he’s not told her everything. At the end it’s gotten to be a sort of trade mark of Jo-Anna Walker, you have the Epilogue with the letter. And OMG the letter! This is Brett spilling his feelings on paper to Evvie. If you don’t cry then you are cold hearted. Okay Jo-Anna I’m giving this read 5*. I know some of you will ask why 5*. Hey it was a good read and just because I found certain aspects difficult doesn’t make it bad. To each his own. Now I’ll tell you one thing I’m chomping at the bit for the finale “Perfected by You” I just need to see how all this comes together and I want to see if my suspicions are real.

The 2nd book in the Torn Trilogy, Revealed by You is certainly another ride on the emotional roller coaster train!! This is an absolute perfect follow-up and continuation of Possessed by You.
We get to see some of Brett’s issues and how he deals with them, or attempts to. He is super possessive and seems to fall more and more in love with Evvie, as she does with him. He shares his past with Evvie, but if anything that draws her to him even more. . The love that Brett and Evvie have for each other is undeniable and so inspiring, one could only be so lucky to have a love like that. They continue to face so much turmoil but I think it only makes them fall deeper in love and strengthens their love ten fold! This book isn’t all rainbows and unicorns, some dark issues come up but the strength they have to work through them together is insurmountable.
The next book Perfected by You is Brett’s POV. I think a lot of unanswered questions will be answered and plus, honestly I LOVE male POV’s!!! I want to know his internal thinking and seriously can’t wait for it!
JMs writing is fantastic, deep and raw. It doesn’t seem forced or unnatural. This series so far has had the absolute perfect cocktail of all you would want to find in any book!!! I can’t wait for Perfected by You!!!! It’s not coming soon enough, Only because I am seriously impatient!

Wow, now this book had me sucked in from the beginning. I enjoyed the first book, but I loved this one. This book answers so many questions that I had after reading Possessed by You. I feel you get more of a story with this one, besides lots of sex. Don’t get me wrong there is still plenty of amazing, hot sex but I connected with this book more.
Evvie and Brett have to face an uphill battle and stand by each other facing their fears and overcoming so many obstacles. More characters are introduced in this book and the others we got a glimpse of in the first book, you learn more about them. Brett’s mother, ugh hated that woman with a passion. She is one sick, twisted being. There is jealously, passion, and drama with this read. You really get to see how much Evvie and Brett love each other and how they will protect each other. Their love is strong and together they can face anything that is thrown their way.
Highly recommend reading this and I’m so looking forward to reading Perfected by You. I need more Brett, I could never get enough of him. J.M. Walker you did a fantastic job writing this one!

Wow this book totally pulled me in from the start and i could not put it down! I can't really put my finger on why i loved this book so much more than the first... there was just more of everything (that makes no sense i know, but there it is!)
I can't really go in to my favourite moments as i think i would ruin the book for future readers. I will say that you see a lot more of vulnerable, sweet Brett which just made me melt (again) and want to cuddle the crap out of him! I could do a lot of nasty violent things to that mother of his!
Evvie is still our take no shit kick ass heroin! Love her! She has to be a hell of a lot stronger in this book for her and the man she loves. My heart broke for them both throughout their story, they have to go through so much and i shed more than a few tears for them.
His gaze searched mine "Never, your mine."
I squeezed his hand. "My one."
He kissed my forehead. "My only."

In this sequel to Possessed by You, we get to see Brett become even more possessive and Evvie become even more entranced in the powerful connection between the two of them. I started this one immediately after finished Possessed by You because I just had to find out what happened next.
In this book, we get to see Brett deal with some personal issues. His infatuation with Evvie becomes even deeper, turning to a true love, and the bond they share even greater after having to divulge things to her from his past. And even though it’s very hard, Evvie does her best to push him in the right direction towards dealing with his demons and healing together. Things aren’t all hearts and flowers in this sequel. There are some dark issues that the couple has to face together. But, that’s what they are…together!
I’ll anxiously await the final installment in this series which will be Perfected by You and will be in Brett’s POV. I love getting the man’s side of things! I’m so glad I took a chance on these books and I can’t wait to read more by the author!
In this book, we get to see Brett deal with some personal issues. His infatuation with Evvie becomes even deeper, turning to a true love, and the bond they share even greater after having to divulge things to her from his past. And even though it’s very hard, Evvie does her best to push him in the right direction towards dealing with his demons and healing together. Things aren’t all hearts and flowers in this sequel. There are some dark issues that the couple has to face together. But, that’s what they are…together!

Oh that Brett MacLean. He’s so possessive and so mixed up and broken. The second book in the Torn trilogy showed us a more vulnerable side to Brett and gave Evvie’s character more chances to show her strength and love for Brett. These two are a great couple, when they aren’t being challenged by outside sources. And what evil those sources have planned exactly still remains to be seen. The sex continues to be hot and plentiful in this second installment, and I enjoyed this one. I am highly anticipating the end of the Torn trilogy and seeing a few characters get what’s due to them. Brett and Evvie need their happy ending and Brett needs some healing that lasts a bit longer than when he is inside Evvie. His need for her and her willingness to be/do whatever he needs isn’t exactly healthy (though it is romantic in a way); I just want to see this powerful man whole without his past determining his actions and reactions to things. I have Perfected by You pre-ordered so I can find out if Brett and Evvie’s story ends just as well as it began.

Wow, this book has a little bit of everything in it. My poor MISTER Alpha-Male Brett has one sick, psycho bitch for a mother. She made my blood boil knowing what she did to Brett as a child but THEN, what she did to him as an adult ripped my heart out. Seriously, she NEEDS a dose of her own medicine! Sicko. And then she drags Claire into her web? Seriously Claire? Did you really think that was going to work?
Sweet Evvie is constantly as Brett's side, being his rock. As the story went on my respect for Evvie just grew and grew. She takes all that Brett dishes out and loves him through it. She constantly reminds him she won't leave and does whatever she has to to make sure he knows she's not going anywhere.
I'll be eagerly awaiting the final book in this triology because I need to know Brett will be rid of his demons (a/k/a his mother) and that he and Evvie will have thier HEA.

Revealed by You by Jo-Anna Walker was another rollercoaster ride for my emotions. The love that Brett and Evvie have for each other is very awe-inspiring. We should all hope to achieve this level of feeling. They go through so much turmoil, but yet always come out stronger and deeper in love. My heart broke once again for Evvie as she suffers from an unexpected loss. I cannot wait for the next book for two reasons. One, it is suppose to be from Brett’s POV, and two, it will answer questions left from the first two books.
This is a book that rates 5 stars in my opinion. Anytime that a story makes me feel so many different emotions is one that gets put into my favorites. The characters are deep and seem real to the reader, also the sex scenes are hot. There is the right amount of different elements to make this book a bestseller.

Brett and Evvie's story continues. In this part of their story we see the all consuming love and need for possession that Brett feels for her and how their love consumes his every thought. We also he a glimpse at Brett's past and how it shaped the man he is today, from past relationship to his mother.
As Evvie struggles to help Brett see the good in the man he is she also struggles to understand the needs she has as well.
What happens when Brett's past comes face to face with his future? How does Brett Handel being protected and saved by Evvie?
I loved this story from the first book but the drama in this book made me love it more.

5 stars isn't enough for this book!!! Brett has become my #1 dom/ alpha male (sorry CG) the things he does with Evvie, OMG. Just picturing them in my mind as I read made me wet my panties(more than once-LOL)(and I am trying to get my hubby to try some of the things Brett and Evvie do--hmmm) And why can't everyone leave them the hell alone and let them be happy. I wanted to punch Claire and his mother in the freaking face! I am not one to leave spoilers, as I don't like reading them myself, so just know that this Trilogy is a freaking HOT STEAMY Mess of a great series!!!!! GO ONE CLICK RIGHT NOW!!!!!

Summary of the Book- Evvie and Brett are obsessed with each other. Other woman are threatening their relationship. An ex and an old friend both still in love with Brett and both know he is with Evvie. Will their new relationship survive?
Personal Review of the Book- I have to admit I did not read the first book, Possessed by You, before this one. I did get the idea of happenings from Evvie's thoughts going back to and remembering. So even though I believe I have the idea of what happened I also know I need to go back and read it. The sex scenes in this book is so dang hot that I know I need to read that first book. I don't want to miss out on anything!

Finished this book last night and already am so ready for the next one. I love this story of a love so deep that it overwhelms them. The main characters in this book are so in tune with each other but they do have their problems both within their own relationship and from people outside it too. It is not a perfect storybook romance by far. It gets messy and dirty and the sex is hot and gritty. Actually it is everything that I look for in a book. Thank you for another great look into their lives and I will be sad when this story ends after the next book.

LOVED THIS BOOK!!
Great part two! You really get an in depth look into Brett and Evvie's dark, raw and heated love.
Wow you thought book 1 was hot but omg book #2 off the freakin chain!! But through the hot scenes, and there are many, you get to see and feel the true love Brett and Evvie have for one another.
Beautiful story about finding that right person that can bring you out of your darkest fears and into the beautiful light.
Great read can't wait for the final chapter of this raw and unscripted love story.

i reviewed this for Two Ordinary girls and their books. I really enjoyed book 1 but this one was even better and I couldn't put it down! ! The love Brett and Evvie have for one another is so good I couldn't get enough of them and I'm dying for book 3. Evvie didn't expect the curve ball of Brett mother coming in and causing so much turmoil and it just puts them to the test and thry come out stronger than ever! I don't want to give it away but they definitely got the HEA I hoped for and can not wait to see what book 3 has in store.

Powerful and intense story, at times I had to put it down and collect myself. The love between Evvie and Brett jumps off the pages, it sucks you in. I love how Jo-Anna Walker makes you feel everything the characters are feeling, she is a truly gifted author. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series!

I think I fell in love with Brett even more in this book. I loved that he started to open up and show his softer side to Evvie. I may have even liked this book a little more than I did the first one. Not to get me wrong. The first book in the series was just as good. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one.

You need to read Possessed by you first.
In this book you get to know more about what makes Brett well Brett. The sex is still of the charts but there is more of a story line and lots going on. I was beginning to think it was sex a page of a story then sex again. In the last book I definitely enjoyed this more.

OMG! I loved this book even more then the first!If you thought you loved Brrett before this makes it so much better! I read it in almost one day not because it was short but because i couldn't put it down! Can't wait for book 3!
