Damn, this book is so good and spicy. I should have counted how many times I said Oh my god, or Yes!!! Or when I laughed with dark humor.
If you want to read this book, buckle up, most of these characters are bat-shit crazy or unhunged. I loved every second of it.

The book held my attention from the first page to the last. I was so engrossed in the story that I ended up staying awake all night just to see how it would unfold. The spice is extra nice.
A must-read for horror erotica fans. Side note, I can't wait to read more about Blaze,

Talia is a debut author, and I was pleasantly surprised how well done this book was for a debut.
The representation in this book was incredibly well done. Was not stereotypical, condescending, or pandering in any way.
The spicy scenes, omg the spice scenes I was eating them up and asking for seconds, to which Talia delivered on a silver platter multiple times.
This is something for everyone in this book, and the plot is held strong through the whole thing, and it wasn't just all spice.
While this book is definitely dark, trigger warnings so absolutely be read and acknowledged before continuing as your mental health matters.
I can't wait to see what's next for Talia, I have a feeling she's definitely going to be doing big things!!

If this isn't on your TBR, it needs to be! I was an alpha reader, and it is SO GOOD! If you like DARK books like I do, this is the one for you! The plot is absolutely fantastic but it is not a HEA! Talia Lane is about to be one of the newest, hottest authors & I AM HERE FOR IT 😍🥳

When I tell you I read this book in one sitting it was just amazing. It was my first Taboo horror book and boy it didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait to see what other books she has in store l. This was amazing.

This book is everything a person could be looking for in a taboo erotica horror. Ryan, stepsister of Layla, hates her stepsister with a passion. However, she develops another passion for Layla that surprises the both of them. Layla, the good girl, has it all. A great boyfriend, the perfect friend, and a seemingly good life. Or so you think. Then there’s Kali, a woman set out on vengeance for things that were wrongfully done to her. How do these three characters come together? Read the book to find out!

This is Talia's first book and I certainly hope there are many more to come!
This book will be right at home for all you taboo and horror romance fiends out there! Sins of Her Sister centers around Ryan and her step-sister Layla. Ryan has a raging hatred for Layla but also an obsession for her that is splitting her at the seams. Layla on the other hand is actually splitting - into another persona all together! This persona's only intention - protecting Layla at all costs no matter how brutal and bloody it may be.
Now, this book is spicy - like SPICY, SPICY. It has all the goodies: MF, FF, MMF, blood play, knife play, and the list goes on. Also, the gore. The gore was fantastic and so well done. It takes ALOT for me to react to gore and there were a couple instances of my face being like 😬😯🥴😁
So, if this kind of stuff is your thing, definitely make sure and check this one out!

I'm not even sure that 5 stars is enough! Sins of Her Sister was dark and I mean black from the beginning to the end! There was no slow or fast burn, only a continuous burn in the best ways! This book was my favorite of the year so far and by far the darkest.
Don't ever give up writing, Talia Lane, you were meant to do this!! This is a book I will never forget and will be sure to recommend to anyone who will listen! I will also be ordering the physical book, it was too good not to have on my shelf.

Layla and her step sister had some disturbing things happen which causes Layla to protect herself in an unfortunate way, she unconsciously makes an alter ego (evil twin) who seeks revenge on the people who hurt her. Her alter ego shows her what she has done as layla loses time and blacks out because of it.
I love this twist on a dark romance just because it shows you, that in the beginning her step sister was the mean one who always bullied Layla. Ryan is on a mission to find out what is wrong with her sister, but in the end tragedy strikes. Even blaze Ryan's bestfriend/lover isn't always what he seems. I can't wait to read the next book of the series!

I can’t believe this is the authors debut novel! It was so good. This is a taboo horror erotica story and I ate it up. You have step sister Layla and Ryan. Layla is sweet and you have Ryan who is the rule breaker. But there are some things people don’t know about Layla. Who is Kali? And what did she do? Highly recommend!

eginning to end! I had to take it slow at first cause this was my first erotic horror and I didn't want my private part to explode 😅🤣 BUT! JUST WOW! I think the author did an AMAZING JOB on her debut! I really connected to some of the characters and their trauma. I highly recommend this if you want a good Ole sexy, bloody and wild read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ p.s. Blaze is daddy 🤷♀️🥵

Firstly, shout out to Talia for getting me out of a monster of a reading slump that I’ve been in for months. This book was definitely far outside of my comfort zone but it was really good and I'm glad that I read it. I can’t believe that this is Talia’s first book and can’t wait to see what she has in store for the future. This book is very horror and gore heavy so both the author and myself encourage you to check the triggers before diving in to it yourself.
Sins of Her Sister by Talia Lane tells the stories of two stepsisters Ryan and Layla who absolutely hate each other. Ryan and the rest of the world see Layla as a sweet little goodie two shoes but Layla has a secret that not even she knows. Lurking under the surface, buried deep in Layla’s psyche, is Kali who comes out to play when Layla is in danger.
This is a great book for you if you’re someone who is really into horror movies! I will admit there were definitely times where I had to take a little break because I’m a little baby but I think that’s just a testament to how vivid of a picture the author is able to capture with her words. Kali, Layla’s other personality is truly unhinged and you never see what’s coming next with her other than the fact you know it’ll be bloody. I haven’t felt this level of “wtf did I just read” since I read The Hollow’s Row Series which is saying something cause read a lot of weird shit. I feel like this book is going to be a huge hit with my horror and splatterpunk girlies dark romance too if you can accept the lack of HEA so I can’t wait to hear what you think!
The main relationship that is focused on is between Ryan and Layla though there are so many relationship dynamics going on in this book. I really loved the toxic chemistry between Layla and Ryan which can definitely be felt through the pages. My one criticism here is that I would have liked to see more scenes where they relationship is growing and maybe a little more on their past interactions to get me a bit more invested in them as characters.
One of the major themes of this book is childhood trauma. I really liked how Talia handled revealing traumatic events rather than dropping them on you all at once she reveals them in a way that also teaches the reader Layla’s memory problems work which I thought was clever.
There was so much going on in this story that I want to talk about but I don’t want to say anything that will spoil the story for you guys so the final thing I’ll say is that there is so much drama and hookups in this book that there are a number of intersecting love triangles that make up a bit of love polygon if you will and the messy psrt of me definitely loved the drama of it all.
I’m so very excited to see what Talia does next because this book definitely surprised me and I don’t think anyone could predict the twists and turns that the plot takes. This book is definitely incredibly dark and not for the weak of stomach so if but if you love horror and are ready for an absolute mindfuck of an adventure this is the perfect read for Halloween.🎃

Sins of Her Sister ended up being a very apt title for this book!
So bully romances are hit or miss for me. The story needs to provide me a reason to like the bully. Unfortunately I could not get into Ryan (the bully)and I could not get into Ryan and Layla as a couple. I did not feel there was enough of a transition of their feelings from hate to love. I found it abrupt and just did not really like them together. They just didn’t gel for me.
BUT, I have a few howevers for this book which elevated my rating.
One, I loved Kali. I loved all the scenes and chapters with her. She was unapologetically brut@ and un hinged and I loved every minute of it.
Two, I enjoyed Blaze. And I enjoyed Blaze and Ryan together. And Blaze, Ryan and Aaron together, lol. I wanted more of this and a why choose situation with these three!
Three, the ending of this book, literally the last chapter and the epilogue redeemed this book a bit for me. I found the ending so satisfying, it was perfect, especially given how I was feeling about Ryan and Layla. And knowing what’s to come and with who?? Despite this being a rocky book for me, I am down to see what comes next from this author.

There is no such thing as a slow burn with this book. Straight from the get go it will have you squeezing the life out of not only the book, the cushion seat of wherever you’re sitting, your thighs because of how spicy this is.

As always, check tws before you delve into this one! And you gotta be on the step-sibling train.
I was roughly half way through the arc when I learnt that this is Lane’s DEBUT. The characters had sunk their teeth into me so deeply that I hadn’t even realised. Not only did I care for them, or love to hate them, but Lane has written some of the hottest scenes I’ve read in a while! The violent scenes are incredible and super creative - sometimes these types of scenes can get a bit repetitive when you read a lot of horror, this is absolutely not the case in Sins of Her Sister. I was roughly half way through the arc when I learnt that this is Lane’s DEBUT. The characters had sunk their teeth into me so deeply that I hadn’t even realised. Not only did I care for them, or love to hate them, but Lane has written some of the hottest scenes I’ve read in a while! This book absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way. It was spicy, dark, twisted, and so addictive that I honestly lost count of how many times I gasped, laughed in disbelief, or muttered “oh my god” under my breath. The dark humor hit perfectly, and the intensity never let up for a single page. Talia truly has a gift for writing!
If you’re thinking about picking this up? BUCKLE up, because nearly every character is unhinged in their own way, and that chaos is exactly what makes this story so unforgettable. I devoured every second of it.

I’d consider this a dark, taboo, horror erotic novel, and it was outside of my comfort zone but i’m so glad I read it.

I loved this entire story, and the ending had me SHOOK I literally did not see it coming…at all. 10/10 recommend adding this one to your TBR because you will not be disappointed. 😘

The way this book had me in a chokehold! I read it in one sitting because I could not put it down.
Ryan and Layla are step sisters that love to hate each other. Or do they? Layla is the goody two shoes of the two but something sinister is lurking beneath the surface, but what?
This was a wild ride and the ending made me gasp!

This book WOW! I am not sure really what to say other than WOW! I read this in one day! The story line was great. I am pretty much speechless! This book is definitely not for the faint of heart lol. Definitely make sure to check the trigger warnings before you read and listen to them! Talia is not playing about them lol. Even the couple of twist in there I did not see coming! I am definitely interested to see where this story goes now!

December 28, 2024Ok so I don't normally read books where the MCs are the ages of these. However I had alexa reading to me while I was crocheting, otherwise it would have been a DNF just because of their ages. My hands were busy, so I kept going. It's an easy quick read with your eyes and your ear holes. I will say, I often forgot the age of the characters just because it wasn't the main focus, which I super appreciated. These people had a lot more to worry about than school. It is trigger warning heavy so check them if you have them. Overall it wasn't a bad read.

For a taboo horror erotica I really loved it, it was a first for me being a taboo horror but it was amazing nonetheless. I like the whole other personality persona going on and all the characters were awesome. I had a feeling it would end how it did but it was definitely interesting and gave me a few moments where I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. I can’t wait for the next read

WOW…..what to say?! I loved this book. It wrecked me! It was beautifully unpredictable in the most psychotic way! Ryan and Layla, oh man!! The relationships in the story were amazing. It was the best mix of spice, gore, and romance. I am mostly speechless on what this book has done to me. Fantastic read and I encourage all my romantasy, horror loving besties to read this one!
