Outlander Today: Jamie & Claire Texts

Rate this book
Diana Gabaldon's OUTLANDER book series is much loved and soon to be made into a TV show on STARZ. This wee booklet is a fun and clever compilation of imagined texts between the series 2 main characters, Jamie and Claire, and we get to see how they are adapting to life after having come to the present day through the Standing Stones! Just a fun parody of a beloved couple...made in good fun because Diana has made it clear it will NEVER really happen!

REALLY?

I can't believe I paid for this! You want stars? I want my money back. And I hate the way Jamie is portrayed as stupid.

0 stars but they make you use one to post

This was sooo funny. I could definitely see them saying this to each other if Jamie could come through the stones to our time. I recommend any fan of Outlander to read this during a droughtlander, at least for some good laughs for something short to read. Worth the price.

I love Jamie!!!!!!

Laughed out loud! My teenage daughters think I am nuts, but even they laughed like crazy over it. If you love Outlander, you'll get a kick out of this.

Huh?

I could not access anything unless what was in the preview was it. If that is the case, then I am severely disappointed.

Cheap way to steal another author's hard work and try to make a profit from it. Wannabe writer.

Verra funny!

The texts were just great, exactly like I could just picture it. It might have been fun to see some texts between Jaime and Brianna or the grandkids. Loved the meat market/zoo text! Rotfl!!

Outlander Today is light hearted comic relief delivered in bite size nuggets

I'd recommend this reading to any Outlander fan that texts. It's an interesting modern day translation that appeals to my curiosity. If you're seeking a quick "fix" of The Outlander, Denise Sevier-Fries delivers with her unexpected style and sassy sense of humor.

LOL!!!!

Denise Sevier-Fries has composed a series of super-fun and imaginary texts between Jamie and Claire, the principal characters of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. It was simply too hilarious to read about how Jamie would dealt with appliances, travel, food and general everyday life in the modern world. Three starts only because, the book was way too short.

Not long enough but it was funny.

4 stars instead of 5 because of the length. It was really funny. I could picture both of them. Not long enough!
