Jenny was looking for the comforting shoulder of a childhood friend, but the blistering attraction she feels toward him is too unsettling for comfort. Jenny Rafter wakes up one bright Monday morning with a boyfriend beside her and a job to look forward to. But two hours later, she is fired from her job, and finds out her boyfriend has withdrawn every last cent of her savings from her bank account. Heartbroken and broke, she calls up her childhood friend for help. She is desperate, and when he asks her to come to New York to stay with him, her worries are allayed. But Jenny is in for a surprise when she sees Cooper Farrell. The sandy-haired, blue-eyed boy she had once played hide-and-seek with is gone, replaced by a breathtakingly gorgeous entrepreneur who makes her stammer and shake in her boots.
Since releasing her first romance book in 2012, Lucia Jordan has done more than just write stories. She has helped define a genre. As a pioneer of the digital romance revolution, Lucia has penned hundreds of sizzling titles, delighted millions of readers, and earned thousands of five-star reviews. Her ability to blend emotional depth with uninhibited passion has made her a household name, with her hit novel Rock Hard earning a coveted nod as the #1 must-read erotic novel by Women's Health magazine.
But Lucia’s passion extends beyond the page. As the creative force and founding author behind Wild Hearts Romance, she is a champion for the indie community, dedicated to lifting up new voices in a genre she calls powerful, valid, and necessary. She writes for the dreamers and the risk-takers to craft stories that leave nothing to the imagination and remind us all that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after.
When she isn’t fantasizing about her next spicy scene or advocating for fellow writers, Lucia can be found in her sanctuary, a cozy garden gazebo in the Pacific Northwest. It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.
This is a cliff hanger with no warning at all. The whole book is only 2 days. It is more like a preview than an actual book. I feel like this author wasted my time and played with my emotions. I will never read another book by this author because of this "book"! Thanks for nothing!
An Unexpected Instalove Connection - I am thrilled I got the chance to read this delightful story with wonderful characters who had amazing chemistry, a lot of drama and some scorching heat to keep you eagerly turning the pages. You will definitely enjoy reading this book, just as much as I did.
I received a copy of this book free and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love stories about long time friends taking their relationship to the next level. Jenny turns to Cooper, her good friend, when her and her boyfriend break things off. As he comforts her, she finds that she is attracted to him. But Cooper is a womanizer and Jenny is just not ready to put her heart out there again, or is she?
Too many exclamation points, the conversation is repetetive, the dialogue read like it had been written by a hamster on crack-all over the place, and worst of all it was read bait to get people to purchase and read the other books in the series, however, this first 'book' is so awfully written I won't do anything of the sort.
It was intriguing. I want to keep reading to get to know Jen & Cooper better. But that was a quick trip to the bedroom (well, coitus interruptus) after 15 years apart ... then again, they had pretty much grown up together for ten years before that (until he was 13 & she was 12).
Terribly written, horribly out together and just all together a total train wreck. The characters don't grab you, they're just stereotypical robots with no real personality, the storyline isn't thought out at all, and the writing is so terrible I practically skimmed it looking for redeeming features. Sometimes In romance the actual romance makes up for other crappy aspects but even the romance in this was boring. This doesn't even deserve one star.
So not the norm, I was surprised to find the differing dynamics in this - dare I call it a relationship? I really liked both characters at the start and did not see the self-sabotage coming. Departing from the usual relationship flaws, Touch Me explored a different aspect of the insecurities linked with new relationships. A definite must read - if only so you can shake your head in wonder at the ease with which one can unwittingly sabotage your chances at happiness.
This is the second series I've read of Lucia Jordan's novels. Jenny & Cooper's had a sensuous attraction that couldn't be denied! TOUCH ME was a sinful short & simple story about love, attraction and the undeniable pull between them!
Free iBook. This is basically the prologue of the next book. And there isn't enough material or written well enough to grab you and make you want to read the others.
