Nicolas is one of the best male leads I’ve ever read: obsessive, possessive, and completely unhinged — in the best way possible. He lives for Gabriella and will stop at nothing to protect her. Gabriella, on the other hand, is a strong, independent protagonist with vulnerabilities that make her even more relatable and captivating.

Their chemistry? Perfect. Every interaction is filled with passion and intensity. The story’s pacing keeps you hooked from beginning to end, with the perfect balance of spicy and emotional scenes.

I honestly don’t even have the words because this book OWNED me.
Lethal Infatuation was everything my FBI-obsessed heart needed and more.
Nicolas wasn’t just a fictional character he felt real and God, that filthy mouth of his???
The man has zero filter and I ate up every single word.
His obsession, his jealousy, his absolute devotion to Gabriella was so intense, so raw, it made my heart race and my cheeks burn.
From doing skincare together to burning a man's car out of jealousy (yes, you read that right — KING behavior).
Nicolas proved he was completely and unapologetically hers. AND I WAS LIVING FOR IT.
Gabriella? Absolute queen. Fierce, sassy, confident — she was the perfect match for him.
I saw so much of myself in her, and I loved every second of her putting everyone in their place with just a look.
Their chemistry was off the charts, and every moment between them was packed with heat, tension, and that ride-or-die energy I crave in romances.

If I had one tiny critique, it would be the insta-love — I wish there had been a little more slow burn, more scenes to draw out that tension — but honestly? I didn’t even care that much because the vibe was that good.
I DEVOURED this book.
No crumbs left. 5 out of 5 shining stars.

Honestly, I didn’t want to even talk about this book because I desperately wanted to gatekeep it. It’s that special.
But here I am, screaming about it anyway because it deserves all the love.

OH MY GOD CAN WE TALK ABOUT MY OBSESSION WITH THIS BOOK AND ITS CHARACTER? CAUSE THEY ARE PERFECT PERFECT PERFECTO. 😋

I was soo hooked onto it my mind was literally screaming to me to find out what was happening when I took a break from reading. Yes I was that desperate to know thing going in the book.

About the Characters I love Gabrielle was a strong, independent woman and I definitely loved how she was written as a character I will love that woman to bits. Her being shy sometimes when Nico said anything filthy will always be my fav thing and her being a woman for chasing her dreams I will forever respect her for that.

Now let’s talk about my husband, the one I want to have babies with is Nicolas yes I will glady have his babies and i mention we share the exact same kink in particular (too much information ) I loved how he was written as-well the whole book he had me smitten and I thought to myself where can I find a man like him who will burn the world for me if another man looks in my direction or comes near me.

The nickname was everything for me like hello? He calls her butterfly and he’s a spider I just loved how that’s analysis was made in the book and it was portrayed it just caught my sight very hard and fast and I definitely liked nico being so straight forward when he gabs like yesss king we love a man who gets straight to the point.

Overall I totally loved this book and am very much not gonna stop thinking about it like EVER!!!HEHEHEHEH

This book had me hooked from the very freakin start !!!! I am down bad for the MCs who are instantly obsessed and willing to do anything to get what they want 😫 honestly I won’t lie, I thought this was a mafia romance and I was really suprised when I found out the MC was a special agent LMAO ! I still had fun reading !!!

To be completely honest, I personally felt like this was 90% smut and 10% plot BUT I really needed something like this after all the world building I just got done reading with my last book so I didn’t really care that there was no plot at all. While I did enjoy the FMC Gabrielle, holy fuck I loved Nicolas even MORE. That man was a walking red flag and I was here for it 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ when I tell you guys he was TOXICCCCCCC, but I loved every second of it 😭

First of all, I just need to say THIS BOOK IS THIS BABE’S DEBUT. DE-FUCKING-BUT AND IT WAS PHENOMENAL! OH MY FUCKING GOD. ISSAABEELLLAAAAAA! I have been entranced into this series from practically the beginning when Ares and Amala were going to be the leading couple, but now it’s Nico and Gabriella and I don’t think this could have started BETTER. Nico, the GODLIKE DADDY SPECIMEN HE IS, is just EVERYTHING. I need this man in my life, and I NEEDED HIM FUCKING YESTERDAY. And Gabriella? Oh my FUCKING WORD. She is a BAD ASS BITCH. I LOVE HER. She takes no shit from no man, especially Nico and she just riles him up and it is the funniest fucking shit. But the chemistry between them from the ABSOLUTE FUCKING GET-GO WAS INTOXICATING AND I WAS FROTHIINNGGGGG.

I am so excited to see what is instore for the Echthros series, as well as finally being able to have Ares and Amala! first and furmost i just want to express my gratitude for receiving an arc, and boy oh boy i enjoy the hell out of this story.

two words. Nicolas mf Calisto. DAMN!!! man had me wanting to be Gabriella with that filthy ass mouth. phewww, the smut was absolutely perfect, not too much not too little. the pacing of the story was just about right and had me turning my page because i was just that hooked!

the chemistry between Gabs and Nico?! *chefs kiss* phewww i didn't know if i wanted to be Gabriella or just watch them do their thing lol (not that Nicolas would allow me to do such a thing lmfaooo). but if you seek a steamy story with a fiery fmc and a possessive/overprotective mmc Lethal Infatuation is defs your cup of tea!

This relationship was so toxic in all of the worst ways. It was abusive at some points. Male lead was very emotionally abusive and seriously manipulating the entire time. She gets kidnapped and he makes it about him. It’s bad. I finished hoping it would get better, but I was disappointed the entire story.

I liked that this book was Nicholas and Gabriella had amazing chemistry together. They were literally the perfect match. I loved how crazy Nicholas was for Gabriella. The trope “Obsessed MMC” really gave OBSESSED. I lowkey love that it was insta-love kind of. It seemed as if it was rushed but it was like in a good way. I was totally vibing with the book. I really loved all the side characters expect for Antonio and his crew.

I love Nicholas, he’s such a baby in my opinion. He always needed to be with Gabriella or he would spiral. And I also love how both characters healed one another.

Also I’m VERY interested in Amala and Ares story. I hope they get a book because they would make a good lovers- to - enemies - to - lovers story in my opinion!!

First off this was one of my most anticipated reads of 2024 (although I ended up having to read it in 2025) and it did not disappoint.

I absolutely love a man obsessed with their girl, that cannot stop thinking about her and can’t get enough of her but I love it even more when they are both obsessed and cannot get enough of each other.

I also loved how Nicolas seems so sweet and obsessed with Gabriella at first, but became darker and more possessive and toxic? a little later on, it felt very realistic? I guess.

There was also something that was a bit repetitive (read the book to know what I’m talking about) but I have zero complaints and I actually quite liked it. It showed that Gabriella loved and enjoyed the consequences even though she’d be a bit more “reluctant” in the beginning, but then a few days later she’d say the same thing knowing how he’d react and what is about to happen.

I love love loooved their relationship and dynamic so much!! honestly I loved all the relationships in this book. The friendships between gabs and her girls and Nico with his boys, Kehlani and Kayden, and of course Ares and Amala 🤭

overall amazing book!! I really liked the writing; loved their story and their love and would definitely recommend, and I’m so so excited for book 2 🤭

A couple little things that I just felt a bit meh about but did not stop me from enjoying the rest of book and did not stop me from loving the book and their story

The first thing is the last few chapters. They felt a bit too quick?? It didn’t feel rushed (to me) but the pacing was definitely faster and we went over what were happening quickly. because of this, while I know what gabriella felt when she got kidnapped but I couldn’t feel anything.

The second thing is the pregnancy scene 😭 I understand why he reacted the way he did but it doesn’t make what he said to her okay. And that isn’t even what I can’t get over it’s the fact that he had a breeding kink, kept saying how he was gotta put a his baby in her, had sex without any protection and then reacts the way he did when she got pregnant. Like Nico come on!

but overall I loved the book!!

Nicholas Calisto 🥵 Holy F**k! This man drove me insane from the time he bumped into Gabriella. I knew instantly I couldn't let him go. Tall, handsome, charming, intelligent, sexy, an FBI agent, kinky, obsessed 🤭, protective, possessive, touch her and d*e to the max, you're mine from the first time he saw her, and can not get enough of his woman. He literally could not function without her near him. I loved the jealousy scenes. They made me cackle at how he reacted to anyone even talking to her. But the protective scenes 🥺🥹❤️ My whole heart! I didn't think I could love him more!

Gabriella Sevilla 🥹 This woman is one of my most memorable FMC's ever! She gave back as good as she got. When Nicolas was feisty or over the top, she fought back and stood up. Most of the time, that ended up with her on her knees or back, but I mean, we both ain't complaining 🤭🥵 Beautiful, intelligent, organized, an event planner, shy, introverted, yet confident, as kinky and obsessed as her man, possessive, protective and strong. She went through a hell of a childhood, and yet she stood so strong, and that made me incredibly proud of her. She wants to become a lawyer, and the second she mentioned this to Nico, he did everything to support her in her dreams 🥹

The writing, storyline, characters, and setting was absolutely brilliant. I loved that the book was to the point, with plenty to keep you hooked and still guessing about what's going to happen next. I adored the characters that were also mentioned, and a certain scene has me already smirking because I have an idea what's happening there 🤭😏 *cough cough, "Ares and Amala" I cannot wait for the rest of the books in this series and everything else you write Isabella 🥹❤️ Thank you so much once again!

This book was addicting but omg was Nicolas problematic af.

There were many moments while reading that I found myself thinking, "If this were real life, the way he acts would be all the signs you are warned about before you hear about him killing his girlfriend on the news". The way he is possessive and obsessive over Gabriella is definitely a big red flag, but honestly, I'm not reading a dark romance for green flags and healthy relationships. I'm ok with ignoring the very real problems with the way he acts so I can enjoy this intense romance.

I really liked Gabriella's character and I found her relatable and easy to root for. I also liked her friend group and I liked that even though she was down bad for Nicolas, she would give him a run for his money. I did have some questions about the believability of someone who is barely old enough to be out of college, having an extremely successful job in a prestigious job and I also wish that it was more explicitly stated if she was POC or not, but again, these were things I was able to let go in the mercy of just trying to have a good time reading the book.

There are moments that I feel like could have been explored more, especially in relation to the characters individual growth, as well as things in their relationship that I feel were left a bit unresolved. For example, Gabriella's relationship with her mom, Nicolas's anxiety and PTSD and him getting cleared to go back to work. I also felt like Gabriella and Nicolas were both extremely irresponsible with certain aspects of their relationship (aka practicing safe sex) and the way certain things transpired towards the end of the book left a sour taste in my mouth (especially his reaction to it) and I didn't like how the book ends with them (seemingly) continuing to be irresponsible.

Overall, I'm excited to read the next book and I find the author's writing addictive so I can't wait to read more!

wow wow. I randomly found this book on literally release day and when I saw the tropes, I knew I had to read it.
This book had everything that I love in dark romance.
I read this book in two sittings (because of work) and I didn’t want it to end.
Nicolas and Gabriella’s story was so beautiful and it consumed me. It was soft and sweet but also extremely unhinged and so twisted.

If you think you have read books with a jealous MMC you haven’t met Nicolas yet.
He is extremely protective and so jealous. The second he lands his eyes on her, he became obsessed. Always keeping an eye on her and he made sure to know everything about her.
I was falling for this man!Hard
Gabriella was able to bring emotions out of him that no one else did.
Next to his possessive side he had such a soft side. This man literally bought all her skincare products for his house so she feels comfortable in his home whenever she would come over 🥲 my heart melted when he did face masks with her because she wanted to!! He respects her so much.

Gabriella was such a queen. She always has a fun response and loves to tease him. I love how she is so extremely hardworking and is so good at what she does. Despite her fears of opening up and trusting him I was so proud whenever she would talk about her feelings. She is that type of girl that where you know she will hype u up no matter what!!

Okay the last 60 pages made me go through all kind of emotions. I had a gut feeling about what was about to happen which was worst case scenario and surprise it did 🥲 make sure to be prepared for that.

The fact that this book is a debut novel is insane to me. Writing is so important to me but the way it was written, was so good. It was fast paced and you forgot you were reading because the writing gets u hooked.

I need book two right now because the little crumbs we got from the second couple was everything. And I am smelling enemies to lovers 👀🤭

I think I found a new favorite author😉 if Isabella writes it you know for damn sure im gonna read it!!

Nicolas is one of the most attractive, unhinged, possessive main male characters and to be honest its so hot, just know I mean that in the best way!! I love me a man that proclaims “you’re mine” to everyone who is looking at her!! Vulnerability is hard for him to show but he finally starts letting her in- and always protects her from the dangers of his job.

Gabriella is a strong, independent woman who has a had time finding vulnerability with someone. I loved her, she was an absolute girl boss!! Who says women can’t ride a motorcycle like a badass! I loved her personality and the way she riled Nicolas up!! I loved the shyness she had with Nicolas and let herself be vulnerable

This book was absolute perfection! I want to be a fly on the wall when it comes to them!! His nickname for her gave me butterflies to my stomach and made me squeal!! Shes his butterfly and he is her spider entangling her in his web. The spice was absolutely filthy and kinky but in the best way possible!!

I cannot wait to see Ares and Amala’s book- Ares is going to destroy me from the inside out, I can already tell

Let’s talk about Gabriella the fmc she everything I want in a friend like she don’t play about her’s and friends, she takes girlboss literally she is the definition of it like I love her personality and the way she act cause I do that too like when I tell you she got your back I’m not kidding.
Secondly let’s about Mmc Nicolas(Nico) the way this man fits my standards is crazy like he is so perfect like baby daddy and husband we know how obsessed you are about Gabriella in I don’t blame him I would too cause they he was written was a huge chefs kiss like married at this point.
Lastly I’m not going to lie to you Isabella but I fell inlove with both Gabriella and Nicolas in your book cause I love the way you written them and how all your ideas played out we need this book for the year cause I’ve been waiting to see you put all your thoughts into the beautiful masterpiece and I can’t wait to read this book again thank you for trusting me in giving me the opportunity to read your baby because I know this is your first book and I’m proud of you. This book is in my top books for the year.

Ok? Couldn’t stop readingggg!!! I’ve been literally waiting to read this book since Isa announced it. She didn’t disappoint!
I want to say that I liked Nico and Gab. HE IS CRAZYYYY…for her. From the moment he met her, his obsession started because why not? Gabriella is a strong woman, she gorgeous and sassy (love that heheh) and he knew that. Nico is such a stalker and tbh he’s part of the FBI so that makes sense hahaha.
Aside from the characters, I liked the storyline. I think this was my first time reading about an FBI agent/kind of romance, and it was interesting and refreshing. SPOILER(?): Nico’s reaction when waking up to an empty bed/room was funny, because it was her who left and not him.
One of my favorite readings of the month, that’s for sure. So sad I don’t have a Nico rn.
I would share quotes or highlights but that would mean exposing myself…heheh.

*Also, this is my first time writing a review (?) and I’m not sure about how to write one…I just like talking about the book, the characters, etc. I go by the vibes I guess haha.
*I got an ARC and I’m grateful for the opportunity. This is also my first ARC so I’m excited!!! Hope I can continue to read more of Isa!

This was my 1st time reading Isabella and I can say I absolutely love this book. From Gabrielle to Nicolas Calisto to every side character. They had that had me rooting for them the second they met. They whole thing is absolutely intense.

The tension was so smooth between them, made me crack my head every time Author changes the play. I had so much fun reading Gab's pov, her sarcastic comebacks lmao I laughed so much reading this. And can we talk about Gabrielle's profession?!! A special agent?! 🥵
Nicolas Calisto! This man got the filthiest mouth. The punchs he throw in whole book had me rolling of my bed. Review aside, I REALLY want Nicolas to buy me a custom anklet with his name on it.

Writing is 10/10 with top notch chemistry which will have you drooling. Overall a very enjoyable and engaging book, Perfect dark romance for your cozy winters. Might check this one out!

Is this book perfect? Yes!! A hundred times yes, I love how well the characters are written, Nico and Gab both raised Standards for me and its one of my top reads.

Lethal Infatuation is not just a book that contains smuts on the name of dark romance, it has plot, twists of emotions, well written characters, spice too
I said what I said, Isabella has done a great job at balancing the book, she is one of the best authors for me who did justice to the dark romance genre.

We have unpredictable and unhinged Nicholas who can do anything for his little butterfly AKA Gabriella.

I love you so much for writing this book..! I love unhinged MMC's who stop at nothing for their love and Nicholas is exactly that...!!, also I loved my baby Gab's point of view, it kept me on my toes.
Devoured this book and also waiting for my babies Ares and Amala😭

This book did justice for all my curiosity and well written characters.

This is such a great debut and as someone who has been following this journey for a while now I'm so happy this book is out in the world!

Nicolas and Gabriella were so perfect together and all their banter made everything so much hotter. I love a man that is down bad but at the same time can be such a simp and Nicolas not knowing what to do with his feelings was so fantastic in his character development

The plot of the story is so great. I love love love morally grey fbi so Nicolas ticked all the boxes immediately. The suspense element definitly added alot of intrigue to the plot and I was fully hooked.

The side characters made the story so much more fun and added heaps of depth. The setup between Ares and Amala for book two I just know is going to be glorious!

A massive thank you to Isabella for the ARC and for the opportunity to be a part of your release journey. I cant wait for what happens next! 💕

Gabriella is an independent woman that enjoys making her own money, baking, and riding motorcycles. She LOVES sweet things and has a hard time expressing herself. Most of all she loves her Nico.

Nicolas is overall such a good mmc with the right balance of assertiveness and sweetness. One of my all time favorite book boyfriends. He’s possessive, obsessive, most of all UNHINGED. He’s got one rule: DONT touch or even look at his girl.

Nico and Gabriella’s story is one I’ll never forget.

ARC Review!!!

This book has truly met and even exceeded the expectations I had of how I pictured it would be! My favorite girl ISA absolutely nailed it with this masterpiece. From the intricate plot to the unforgettable scenes, and from the well-crafted characters to their unique personalities, everything about this book was simply bombastic. Each detail felt like a perfectly placed gem, adding more depth and excitement to the story. I am genuinely grateful to have had the opportunity to read such an amazing piece of work. It’s safe to say I’m beyond happy I got to experience her incredible writing!

The book started as a 5 star read: The tension between the characters was perfect.

But then the story became too much of a push and pull even though the characters were amready in a relationship. Only in the last chapters they even declared it as a relationship and though I do understand that both characters have commitment issues that was too less of "security" in their relationship.

Another thing that really annoyed me was that Nicolas totally had a breeding kink but when it came to accepting that Gabriella might be pregnant, he just totally leached out. I don't think that that really fit his character.

I like my bookboyfriends confident and commited.

Also, the man was OBSESSED and I love to see that lol 😂 I’m a sucker for HE FALLS FIRST AND HARDER and boy obsessed trope.

Though I never understand why he’s so obsessed w her tbh…? Like the FMC came across as a brat with a smart mouth in the beginning and idk how that would make her sooo attractive that would make him this obsessed..?

I was hoping for like maybe there’s a history between them or if he knew from before but nothing. Just insta love.
