The handsome orc king has taken me prisoner. Escape is my only option…isn’t it?
After escaping from alien slavers, I was captured by a group of fierce orcs. Now, the impossibly attractive orc king who locked me up in his palatial guest suite.
King Dexari is huge and muscled, with a voice like rolling thunder and a man-bun that’s totally hot. But the punishment choices he offers me? Not good. But I need to escape, and Zephyr is happy to help. He’s the miniature dragon who showed up outside my window and befriended me.
Getting out of the palace is almost too easy, and Dexari is hot on my trail. When he catches me, I know I’m in trouble. Because there’s a side to the handsome orc king that calls to me on a deeper level. A side that’s honorable, intelligent, protective.
If I’m not careful, I might surrender my newfound freedom to him—and lose my heart in the process.
The Orc King’s Bride features a possessive and protective alien hero and a snarky human heroine who’s destined to be his bride. Get ready for fated mates, spicy chemistry, a dash of dragalor magic, and a battle of wills that’s hotter than twin suns.
There were many factors that made this book fall flat for me. Of course, characters. I think a lot of authors confuse mouthy, stubborn, reckless, half cocked heroines who stab people as being "strong". Sloane was beyond annoying with her constant attitude. Dex was kind of tepid. Neither really clicked with me as individuals or as a couple. There was zero character description,--everything had to be gleaned from one sentence here and one sentence there. Dex has a man bun and Sloane had green eyes and short dark hair. I felt they lacked chemistry. The world building is non existent and the whiff that is there is inconsistent or unanswered. Orcs know about and host space travellers, but have no space travel capabilities or connections themselves? Hitch an intergalactic Uber, orcs. That's like saying you never travel because you don't have a car,yet your buddy shows up at your house every day and you don't ask to get taken anywhere, and complain that you have no travel options. What the heck is a dragalor and why is it so revered? Sloane has been a slave for years, but mia (book 1 heroine) has only been recently abducted? Make it make sense. And my biggest irritation was the PACING. Dex attacks within seconds, and is almost immediately practically disemboweled, and loses consciousness, then literally gets and breaks a fever overnight. Sloane upends the kingdom in only three days. Denari goes.from livid to lax in three minutes. I tried. I read books 1 & 2,but I have zero interest in reading kat and thor because their predecessors books are so bland and rushed. My guess is Kat is a mouthy woman who hates the robes, introduces pants to the kingdom, bemoans her lost earth life, and makes mulish decisions. Thor will be an angry orc who falls for her un-orcy stubborn human self because she's always doubting his every motive and word....that's what makes her strong and the mate to be by his side. *Insert eye roll* my opinion only. Feel free to read and form your own. But don't say you weren't warned.
Abducted from Earth by aliens 5 years ago, after an escape Sloane was currently hiding out in the forest. She was discovered by Orcs this time and taken to a luxurious palace for King Dexari to determine her fate. Several days pass before he bothers to arrive, and by then she is thoroughly annoyed and frustrated since it gives her time to see how impossible escape appears. She is surrounded by luxury, but she sees it merely as a fancy cage to keep her trapped and hopeless. However, when the King finally arrives, he is not at all what she expects. Her guards are scarred and menacing; the King is confident, powerful, handsome… and arrogant. Will she be able to escape from him? Or will he have a different reason to keep her as his own?
The plans and plots of the King and others will keep the reader amused and eagerly observing to see how well they work on a clever Earth woman who is trying to figure out what everyone is up to. Sloane, a human woman abducted from Earth by alien slavers, has been surviving on her own until an orc patrol captured her, though she took out a couple of orcs in the process. She's held in the palace of orc King Dexari (H), whom she finds herself drawn to even as she plans her escape. Dexari quickly realizes that Sloane is his fated mate, but also realizes that he has to find a way to convince the fiery, defiant Sloane to choose a life with him. With the help of a small dragon-like creature, Zephyr, Sloane escape the palace into the forest, unaware that Dexari is following her, hoping to keep her safe until she comes to accept him. Let's just say that Dexari's plans took a big turn and it's Sloane who has to do the saving, even as she struggles with the growing connection between them, forcing her to decide between fighting for her freedom or a future at Dexari's side. But the forest isn't the only danger, and the challenges only grow as palace politics, dangerous enemies, and family threaten to tear them apart.
Wow what a great book and I do love a strong and fiesty human female and a sexy Orc King that finally finds his fated mate and now just has to win her over when she doesn’t trust anybody and only wants her freedom. Sloane is a human female that was taken 5 yrs ago and put through the ringer by all the aliens she has been sold to but today is her chance to escape and she takes it and finds herself on an Orc Planet she is chased by two orc warriors who try to capture her but when she defends herself and kills one and injuries the other and now she ends up in front of Dexari the Orc King who will hand down the punishment to the human female but when he see's and accidentally touches her he know she is his fated mate that he has longed for all this time. Sloane meets the Orc King and finds him very attractive but that doesn’t stop her from trying to escape him and when she does the chase is on as he try’s to capture once again. Loved this book.

This is a solid entry into the series. I just wish there was a bit more world building and build up between the characters. Sloane was taken by aliens 5 years ago and has had nothing but one bad experience after another. When she escaped a ship on this planet that is run by Orcs she sees it as her chance for A new life. until she does something that gets her stuck as the "guest" of Dexari an orcish King. Dexari can't allow the human female to go unpunished for her crimes. But he has second thoughts and his whole world is turned upside down when he finally meets her. With one accidental touch he finds out that she's his fated mate. How can he earn the trust of someone who has learned its never in their best interest to trust. How will Sloane react to finding out her soul is tied to a gorgeous orc King! You'll have to read and find out! 🔥🌟💖🔥🌟🔥💖🌟💖
I received a copy from Booksprout and I'm willingly leaving a review. Worth 3.5 Images of green giants bench-pressing boulders for fun and the likes. I enjoyed the bridge from the previous book to this one. Dexari's parents certainly did not impress me and now I'm wondering if Sloane will have more problems with the father and the hold he thinks he has on his son. Dexari's declaration is great but Sloane's fear of abandonment is greater. A few cons: A bit vulgar at times. The escape was too easy and did not raise doubt (should have), Gorlag's capitulation is too fast and without a grudge, Zephyr's presence and intelligence is not explained; at first I thought it was part of the escape plan as it was too good to be true.
This was an entertaining addition to the series and a fun fated mates romance. Sloane has been through the wringer since she was abducted from Earth but she works hard to not only keep true to herself, but also to give every one of her owners the hardest time possible. Sadly, this leads to some actions that put her on the wrong side of King Dexari...until he meets her, that is. She's his one and he comes up with what he figures is a clever plan to get her to see she needs him, too. Of course, it goes sideways and I got a kick out of the layers of plots, by different characters, as she and Dexari found their way together. They had hot chemistry and this was a one-sit reading ride, for me. Good fun!
I do love a fiesty woman from earth that takes what she's dealt and not only survives, but gets the better of her captors. Sloane has been beaten and abused, and pasted around from one alien race to another. Of course, all she wants is to be free and het back home. After so many years of captivity, she knows that's not happening. So she'll be good with free, but being labeled an intergalactic breeder, that's impossible too. Fighting two Big Orc soldiers, and accidentally killing one, winds her up at the kings Palace for judgement, finding out she's the God's choice for the King, as his perfect genetic match is not what she's expecting. Wonderful story, and you'll see Mia from the first in this series again. Great story building.!
loved it !! love this series !!! love Sloane and Dexari... this is their fated mates love story... a fast paced action packed drama.. loved Zephyr.... Sloane has been a slave for many years now and has been abused and sold countless times... when, she finally escapes only to be captured by orcs.. she has killed one and wounded another.. when King Dexari finally meets her, he has a plan... make a heir with her... Sloane needs to escape.. what is her punishment for killing an orc ? it's good !!! but, many things are not fully explained...

Been anticipating this read ever since book 1 and it did not disappoint. Sloane had been abducted a few years back and had been sold on to new owners several times until she escaped, only to be captured by Orcs. However, once King Daxari sees Sloane, he realises that she is his mate. Great read. At first I was disappointed to see that this was book 2 of 2, but at the end, it seems the stories will continue inwards with the remaining Kings. Hurry up Lena, can't wait for book 3.
This was a really good read. What is there not to like about a book that combines fated mates, action, intrigue and romance all in one... oh and Orcs too.
Sloane is not having the best of luck having been caught by slavers. It looks like she has gone from the pan into the fire when she is caught again but this time by Orcs. The thing is though that as fierce and frightening as the Orcs might be, that is not all that they are. Dexari knows Sloane is his fated mate but he also knows that it is not going to be as easy and straight-forward. There was romance, action and Zephyr.
Sloan finally gets a chance to escape her latest captures. She ends up in King Daxari's forest where his guards find her. She defends herself and kills one guard and injures another before they take her to the Palace. When Daxari sees her he realizes that she is his mate. Now how do you make someone fall in love with you who only wants their freedom? There is adventure, suspenseful, steam, and love.

this had that element that I enjoyed from the first book in the Fated Mates for Alien Orc Monsters series, it had that concept that I wanted and enjoyed the feel of this world again. Lena Grey has a strong writing style and was engaged with the worked overall. I hope there is more in this series and can't wait for more.

The second story in the Fated Mates for Alien Orc Monsters, another engaging story. Orc King Daxari and human Sloane's story has a very good storyline is well written and held my interest. I enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This Book 2 in The Fated Mates for Alien Orc Monsters Book Series has an entertaining story, well-crafted world, and interesting characters. The characters have unique personalities, detailed histories, and believable interactions. This story has the following: escaped alien slavers, captured by fierce Orcs, twists, turns, adventure, action, danger, love, steam and a HEA.
I found the book to be quite entertaining. The main female character really stood out to me. She possesses a remarkable combination of strength, bravery, and intelligence, making her an excellent queen. It seems the orc king made a wise choice, or should I say the orcspikes made agood decision 😂.

Book Two of this series leaves you sighing and looking forward to the next book in the series. I think I’m going to like Brute and Kat! Sloane and Dexari have major chemistry. Throw in a mini dragon named Zephyr and you have a sweet read! Download and enjoy❤️❤️.
Light on world building this is the story of Dexari and Sloane. Dexari is an orc queen and Sloane is his perfect genetic match. She’s anssty and he needs an heir.story is told from dual POV, okay read.

What I love about this story is a feisty woman who is a fighter and a romantic mate and the challenges that come with it though I would like to know how the dragon got the supplies to help Sloane. I can't wait for the next book.
I literally read this book in one night. Started before bed and woke up at midnight to finish around 2am. Thought it would help me go back to sleep…false. It kept me reading to find out the rest of the story. I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.
This was definitely a cute story and Sloane is amazing. She’s strong and funny and a survivor. Dex is funny too mostly because he thinks he knows what he’s doing but really doesn’t.
