Must Read
There's so much to unpack in this book. I felt bad for how Sarah left Varnell at the alter on their wedding day and ran off with his best friend and best man Nigel. It turned Varnell mean and cold but by the way this book ended and how he switched up on Eira. Maybe Sarah had her reasons for cheating on him and not marrying him. I wish I could've heard her side of the story but since she was murdered. I can only guess. Eira did give off masculine energy but judging by her job title, the way her old brother Ryan and older sister Shantel treated her. I see why she was always cold and defensive. Ryan and Shantel had an entitlement attitude because they parents had money. I also know they were jealous of Eira because she was the youngest but the more educated and go getter. Taking over their parent's company so they could retire and enjoy the fruit's of their labor had Ryan and Shantel feeling some type of way. Well at least Ryan admitted his jealousy, apologized and mended his relationship with Eira. I applaud Ryan for reaching out to Eira best friend Maleah for help to getting his life back on track. Ryan also knew that wanting a woman like Maleah. He had to step his game up. Shantel jealousy was loud and clear toward Eira. She always had something smart to say or throw shade. Shantel was faking like she had the perfect marriage but her husband Hasan wasn't s**t. When it was revealed that Hasan was cheating and had a baby on the way by his side chick. Shantel was pissed off at Ryan and Eira thinking they were lying until Hasan nonchalantly admitted it and told Shantel he wasn't giving up Nadine. After all the s**t Shantel talked to Eira and about her. In the end Shantel needed her little sister. Eira let her guard down and became more feminine while finally giving Varnell a chance. However when Varnell told her he like her but was looking for someone to help him with his daughter he had just found about after the death of his ex. Should've been a red flag for Eira. Him proposing to her after three months and rushing to get married should've been a red flag as well. At the end Eira found out that Varnell had lost his damn mind when it seems like another personality came out of him. His demands and how he spoke to Eira were ridiculous.

This book was good thst Varnell is really damaged Sarah did a number on him. People have got to heal before they try dating again. Hurt people hurt people. Eira is a hardworking beautiful woman he devotes her life to her family business love wasn't on the menu. Varnell and Eira doesn't have a love at first sight connection but thete good together. Varnell has a gift thst Sarah left behind he has to learn how to love to be an amazing father. Smh see Varnell is about to learn Eira not about to talk his emotional abuse he about to get dumped a second time. Eira went through a lot with her family her siblings treated her terribly. Wow I'm speechless 🙊 that ending was crazy definitely can't wait til part 2.

awe I definitely feel vernel pain. Eira siblings is very weird she definitely goin have to watch them and ion feel like the parents speak up enough honestly. See when u be grimy bad things always happen. Omg I’m loving all of them except Shan. Can’t wait till all mend the relationships. Shantel is working my nerves so bad😭. I don’t like vernel honestly cause he basically forcing her to do things and that’s not going to end well, he definitely should have went to counseling for that trauma from Sara I definitely can’t wait till the next part if she stays married she goin be miserable like her sister. “The book started so good but i didn’t like how it ended “

I Need Part 2 !!!!!
I was thinking that this book was going to be that Varnell and Eira meet, and you know, with them having the past heartbreaks, they mean with each other til they really get to know each other. I was shocked when Varnell became controlling at the end. Shantel needed that wake me up, but I hope she heals and Ryan and Maleah look good together. I hate that Valerie had to meet her dad on her mother deaf bed, but I am glad she got one parent. I like this book as always. Dani did her thang just patiently waiting for the next book in this series. I do recommend that you read it.

Ok read!
I really enjoyed this book. Before I could get to the end, I was already asking for book 2. Taking time for yourself after a painful breakup is essential if you’re going to move forward in a healthy way that allows room for a loving relationship this time around. Without healing, you can unknowingly do damage and hurt someone else. As the quote goes, “hurt people hurt people.” Varnell should've heal first. Eira has endured mistreatment from her siblings all out of jealousy.Vernell was so grumpy he thought Eira was gonna let him get away with treating her that way but she definitely about to show him.

Smh at Nell...
This cliffhanger was really crazy because I was actually rooting for Nell and hoped he had changed for the better. Hopefully Eira can handle him though and Valerie isnt hurt in the process. He has to be really shallow to think his way of thinking is right! Shantel is a "witch" with a b! Hopefully she has been humbled as well and can turn everything around for the boys. The story started out a little slow to me and it was very detailed with small activities pertaining to the characters but I guess it gave you some background and feel of them. It was a pretty good read but im waiting on part two to see how Eira handles Vanell.

The start of this book was so boring to me it took me to get halfway through to even consider finish
Varnell lost his mind to tell Eria you will take Valerie to school, pick her up, take her to practice, and help her with her homework every night. I hate waking up early in the morning, and I want to return to my regular work hours of nine to three. You don’t have to cook every night, but I want at least four or five home cooked meals throughout the week. We can still take turns reading to her at night and lastly, you must keep yourself up.” Too say that after marrying her made me want jump in the page slap him. He has too kidding with her.

Varnell has lost his ever lasting mind. Ion know who he thought he married or what type of push over he think Eira gonna turn into but he done fked around and about to find out. I know Shantel is a bi* ch to her sister but I hate her husband did her like that and to have the audacity to tell her to deal with it or leave is fked up. I can't wait till Karma taps him on the shoulder. I'm glad Ryan chose to build a bond with his sister and do better in life. Him and Leah make a good couple. I can't wait to see how everything plays out now.💝💝

Now, when I say this is the cutest read even with the drama. I love Ryan he realized his actions and made the correct changes. Leah, is such a good fit in here. Well Varnell just flipped the script out of nowhere I wasn’t expecting that at all. At first I thought he was joking but when repeated his wants again I knew he was serious! It seems like he’ll be in for a rude awakening trying Eira! I can’t wait to see how she gets him together! I was happy to everyone’s relationship finally coming together towards the end and I’m curious to see it goes. It seemed everyone’s life is slowly coming together! I can’t wait to see what part 3 brings!

Hassan is stupid for cheating on his wife and get young mistress pregnant when he already have two boys. Ryan finally worked on his elf and got a better relationship with his younger sister. Now it’s up to older sister to work on her relationship with her sister after her divorce and doing better for herself and the boys. Varnell should have listen to his brother in law not be in a rush for marriage I understand how your ex/financee/babymomma did you but everything takes time.

This book wasn't cohesive. It was a disconnect between the two main characters. The " relationship" was forced without any real attraction to one another. I wouldn't recommend. The auxiliary characters just seemed unfinished. It seemed like the characters were just dropped in the story as if was a part 2 and we already knew them. It wasn't any consistency .
Sadly, the story didn't evoke any emotions or connection to the characters.

Slow burn 2.5
This read a lil stale. Writing kids is a challenge that a lot of authors fail at, this child Valerie, is no exception. A 5 year old kid in kindergarten does not talk like this. The actual chemistry between the main characters was pretty dead. Another thing that read kinda odd, these women were bosses....literally they shopped at Neiman's drove nice cars but ate at Red Lobster and Olive Garden?? Just inconsistency throughout. Idk about part 2.

I loved this book many twists and turns. I will say it was real life situations. How the love of ur life do u dirty on yall wedding day? Is it real life of having sibling rivalry? I loved how the parents are able to past down they business. How is it u got that girl to be ur wife then u got all these responsibilities. I can't wait to see part 2 and how everyone life is unfolding.

Its giving vulnerable and insecure. Eria's sister just needs to boss up, and forget about her husband. Just when I thought it was getting dull Varnell and Eria gets engaged and married and the demands he put on her is insane especially when its his child lol. I'd get an Annulment the next day. chillllllle its a mess. I can't wait until the next book to see what Eria does.

That cliffhanger was jaw dropping. The author made sure she gave us what in the world moments in this book. This book is well written and the story flows so well. The backstabbing secret keeping and just liessss is unbelievable. Varnell is a different type of man with an agenda. Shantel we gonna pray for her . I can’t wait for part 2. Good job
