2 Stars for Batman? Believe it or not yes. This collection from the 1960s may have tons of Batman's most famous foes such as The Joker, Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Scarecrow, and even Mr.Freeze, but they seem more...corny then criminal. Almost that their master crimes have to contain 9 to 10 bad puns.

And Batgirl...yes Batgirl. This isn't the kick ass Gail Simone Batgirl, oh no no. This is a Batgirl who spends an entire issue damning her female weakness of vanity like making sure her mask is on right or having a spot of mud on her cheek, with Batman and Robin reminding her "hey its ok because your a woman and your suppose to care how you look to us men".

No wonder Batman was almost cancelled in the 60's, the comics made the campy TV show look like Citizen Kane by comparison.

I am obsessed with anything Batman, but...I found it hard to take these comics seriously. The villains seem..well....a little cheesy in this one. Maybe it was the time.
