Well they were half-right. Being a personal trainer is meaningful, valuable, and fun as hell. But becoming a personal trainer is also difficult and confusing.

Using her signature wit and irreverent, no-nonsense attitude, Mia leads you on a journey through the world of wellness. Mia offers a very candid and open book on all the ins and outs of being a personal trainer. Truthfully I wish I had found this book sooner. It was very useful and helped put a lot in perspective for me about becoming a personal trainer. Her informal manner makes it very easy to read and extremely relatable. I got so many useful tips that I will take with me into training. I would like to caution readers that Mia does use a lot of vulgar language. In addition, the book at parts experiences a few rants related females and ‘diverse individuals’ not being prominent enough. Personally these did not bother me but if you know you will not like that feel free to skip certain sections or the book entirely. That being said really enjoyed reading and hope most personal trainers will give it a read!
I'm not a personal trainer. I have no intentions of becoming a personal trainer. And I absolutely loved this book. It's so, so good.
Because the thing is, it's only partly a book about personal training. What it really is, is a book about entrepreneurship, building relationships, holding the things you know loosely, kindness, succeeding in the service industry, and not forgetting your human-ness in the process.
Also, the author reads her audiobook supremely well. Strong recommend.
