Written as though I could hear the author speaking every word. I loved this book. Appreciate the honest writing and a glance at life as a chef/owner of a 5 star restaurant. It's refreshing to see how Douglas Keane has stayed true to his self and made a difference in the restaurant industry regarding his employees. And his passion for dogs is amazing!!

I found this autobiography surprisingly engaging and readable. A funny, honest, and vulnerable account of one chef’s perilous trek to the top of his field. Anyone who loves food, dogs, or has big ambitions will appreciate this book. Highly recommend! (I am very stingy with my 5-star reviews - I share author Kate Quinn’s approach if you are curious).
