In this third and final installment of the Jeannie Parker series, Anvil Gowan’s brand of depravity rises to the a slurping void that seeks to unleash destruction and smother the light—and any chance for redemption.
His first order of business is eradicating Jeannie Parker—a woman determined to move on from the horrors of her past—and then he’ll pounce onto worthier pursuits…
He’s far more obsessed with another damsel, an edgier Phoebe Gates, hiding on the rugged coast of Alaska, attempts to keep her infant son safe from the galloping chaos and unceasing CHASE.
Perhaps only her maternal instinct can meet such evil head-on.
I have to be honest - this ending seemed like a giant cop out to the entire series. The first book hooked me. The second book started getting hinky with the supernatural twist but I read it through. Then I got hooked on this book to end with "it was all one big nightmare". Very disappointed. Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get it.
