This book had a promising start but as I went further, I couldn't help but feel bored. The plotline kept me engaged to a certain extent but I wasn't a great fan of the execution. The characters were not it either. I was super frustrated with the dumb decisions the fmc kept making and the hero wasn't strong enough for an italian mobster. I don't plan on writing a detailed review but overall this wasn't it. There are way better mafia romances out there.

It takes a special kind of author to ….

Write mafia romance. This book had early sex, too much sex-check. Loud obnoxious bestie-check. All of a sudden hidden skill that nobody can believe- check. Hides pregnancy for no good reason- check. Will be made don over everyone including the H- check. 🫤I hate where these stories end up. The H acts like he can’t figure anything out. The woman does all the work and he is left looking so weak and inefficient to me. I love a strong leader in these books. He should be a provider and protector at all costs. There is nothing wrong with a strong h but I just don’t like a dominant one! I basically rushed through the book so I can finish. The end!

You cannot help but fall in love Angelo and Sophie 💗 Will they get a chance to have a normal relationship, and if so, will it work out considering the situation? You will have your fingers crossed, especially with so many twists and turns! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

Part of the Ruthless Mafia Sinners series hang on and you might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified possessive, oh so gorgeous, brooding all three makings of a story consisting with the three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, darkness, secrets revealed, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love somewhere along the way! Sophia is sweet when she wants to be smart because her mom taught her see her mother left her father who was a mob boss teaching her from a little girl how to keep herself safe but when her mom died leaving her all alone a man shows up from another family telling her he is there to keep her safe, and moves her to NY to keep her safe. Angelo sexy as all get out stranger to begin with but the head of the Castiglia family, he was promised a bride from time he was very young by Carlo Agostini, head of the Cosa Nostra to his daughter but now that he is dead leaving his only heir to run his business but that left her in danger and he isn’t letting anyone near his bride protecting her is main goal. But what neither of them expected was the magnetic pull between them couldn’t be ignored and the more they were around each other the stronger the pull grows but will she still feel the same way when she finds out he is with her because an arrangement or will she understand both sides to the arrangement, will she accept her role as his partner, can he help her see how much he loves hers, will she learn to understand their world, and where are they headed maybe happiness?

Steamy Mafia Romance

A great stand-alone dark mafia romance, full of action, drama, steamy romance, secrets, suspense, danger, kidnapping and passion with some great twists.

Sophia has always known her father was in the mafia when her mum took her and they ran to the UK to escape him. But after her mum dies she's approached by Angelo who tells her that her dad is also dead and she needs to go with him back to the US, for her own safety. With her father gone there's a power struggle to lead the family, and as the heir it's her place to fill, but women aren't Don's.

Angelo had gone to the UK to let Sophia know of her father's death but he's keeping more hidden. Their fathers had agreed on a betrothal between them and when he sees her he knows he wants to keep that marriage agreement, that he wants to make her his. He proposes a fake marriage so he can support her claim as heir but the more time they spend together the harder it is to deny the tension and desire between them.

As Sophia steps up to fill her father's place and stop those challenging her claim, her worry for her friend, who came to support her, and the baby she's now carrying bring more problems to the table. With tensions rising in her rediscovered family Sophia faces her greatest threat, her father's right-hand man, who wants to seize control; will Angelo's support and belief in her be enough?.

This book was unlike other mafia books I have read. I truly loved that the female lead Sophia was so strong and a leader. She was not a virgin married off by family or a case of love/stockholm syndrome. She was an equal to her betrothed and they fell hard together.

Sophia is the daughter of a mafia don. When still a child her mother gets them fake identities and they go to live in London. Too little to fully understand the truth of their situation. Her mother apologizes on her death bed stating she set things in motion to protect her. Angelo shows up at her mother’s funeral to convince her to return home. She remembers him vaguely. She is the heir to the family. They can run it together so their biggest rival Giuseppe will stay in line and prevent a mob war. She is grave danger if she refuses. Turns out their fathers made an arrangement of their marriage. He won’t push her but feels it will help their case as well as protect her. They fall for each other but are afraid to admit it. Sophia proves to be a true mafia don. But the threats keep coming endangering them all.

This was an exciting, romantic, read with two charismatic and powerful leads. It was exhilarating seeing a female lead own it. I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this book.

Forced Arrangement is a story part of the Ruthless Mafia Sinners series. Forced Arrangement is another amazing addition to the mafia romance genre. I absolutely enjoyed reading this fantastic book, which I found to be quite captivating from beginning to end. Forced Arrangement is a surprise pregnancy and mafia romance story, which I thought to be well-written, well-balanced, and perfectly executed by Author Demi Ryder. Forced Arrangement follows the journey of Angelo and Sophia who are well-developed and beautifully executed throughout the book. Forced Arrangement is an ease to read, has amazing characters, a fantastic storyline, entertaining/enjoyable, romantic/steamy, definite page-turner, suspenseful, and a happily ever after for Angelo and Sophia. Angelo is the typical alpha mafia male, and Sophia was a mafia princess who doesn’t want to be in the mafia underworld. This is all the details about the book that I’m going to reveal because I don’t want to ruin the book for other readers. However, Forced Arrangement is definitely a book that I would give as a suggestion to those who love reading mafia romance stories. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Author Demi Ryder will come up with for her next book.

Mafia romance with passion and steam; assumed age-gap; 4.5 STARS
I truly enjoyed this sensual romance between Angelo and his betrothed, Sophia. As children their fathers decided to make an arrangement between families that their children would marry. When Sophia’s mother takes 7yo Sophia away from her father and the life her mother hated, they disappear to England. Sophia Agostini became Sarah Lacey and as such lived for the next twenty years until Sarah’s mother’s death. At the graveside funeral off to the side stands a very handsome man who approaches her and calls her Sophia! Angelo Castiglia has come for his betrothed.
The blurb depicts Angelo as a brute but the book makes him so much nicer and understanding. He will not be the cruel one in this story, but there will be a mad man who is very close. I got the impression that Angelo was older than Sophia although no age was ever mentioned. I loved the cover of this book. I truly enjoyed the love scenes which were numerous and descriptive. If you like lots of steam in stories about mafia men who love their woman with a possessive need to protect her, you will want to read this book. Really! I volunteered to review an ARC of it through Booksprout.

FMC Sophia (aka Sarah) fled the mafia world with her mother 20 years ago. They landed in London and settled there, where they were able to lead a quiet and comfortable life. Sophia has a fun and loyal best friend as well as a friend group of people that she cares about. She has put her past life as well as memories of her father aside.

Her world comes crashing down when her mother passes away and leaves her with a deathbed admission of how there are things that she does not know and that people will be looking for her. She meets dark and mysterious MMC Angelo at her mother’s funeral. He is one of the people looking for her. He is also one of the reasons that her mother took her and fled the mafia life all of those years ago - he is her betrothed.

I like how Sophia and Angelo felt an instant connection. And how devoted he is to her and her safety. They pretty instantly are attracted to one another and their chemistry continues to grow. He is fierce to protect her and her legacy, and to make her his queen.

Throw in a good dose of action, some cool side characters, a surprise pregnancy, and this was an interesting story and a good read!

Overall- I mostly enjoyed it. It was very insta-love but that was ok. The characters were likeable, the storyline interesting. My only beef is that I hate TSTL moments.

First- her mother runs away with Sophia/Sarah when she is a child, but waits until she’s gasping out her final breaths to bring up “I should have told you the truth… he’s going to come for you…” and dies. WTF with that? Regardless of the fact she kept her alive and taught her skills like marksmanship and how to stay alive, she is a garbage parent for keeping important info from her now adult daughter. I said what I said. She had plenty of time to prepare her.

Then both she and Angelo lose their brain cells just after their wedding and decide to go off ice skating of all things, without a guard. They know the bad guy is coming for them, and he has already severely maimed Angelo’s men… and she just found out she’s pregnant. But - ice skating 🙄🙄 And of course , she has to pee and wants to go alone 🙄 Never saw that kidnapping coming, did you???

OH WOW !!!! Enjoyed this drama of chaos!!!! It was a page turner and the suspense was really intense. I was on the verge of my seat and tears and I couldn’t even put it down. Sophia mother confessed to her on her death bed as she was passing away that she was in arranged marriage. Sophia was shocked and mind blowing away. Sophia that she was unaware of. When Angelo shows up claiming that he is her betrothed to her in this moment. In this crazy world that she was born into. When had her mother funeral that when Angelo walked into the door of her life and things will never ever be the same again. The chemistry and physical attraction between them was sexual tension and passion of hate of all things in her life . But one night with him will change her life forever in this moment with unexpected consequences and surprise 😮. Will she run away or married Angelo as her mother wishes.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the mafia romance between Sophia and Angelo. When Sophia was 5 years old, her mother took her Europe and changed her name to Sarah. When her mother passed away, Sophia is approached by a handsome man who tells her she has to return to New York because her father has also passed away and she is now the head of the mafia. Angelo also tells Sophia she is in danger, but if she acts as his fiance, he can protect her. Sophia knows she will be killed unless she goes with Angelo, but she doesn't want to have anything to do with the mafia. Angelo was promised Sophia would be his wife and he has every intention of making her his. Sophia is very attracted to Angelo and finds herself feeling safe with him. I really enjoyed this book. I like that Sophia was smart and capable of running things but wanted to be real partners with Angelo. Angelo really cared for Sophia and i think he did love her. I expected Angelo to be cruel but he wasn't. He protected Sophia and would do anything for her. Another good one.

Invigorating from the first page. Life within any Mafia family’s has consequences. Fear, Death, Ownership, Torture - one gets the picture, but most importantly - “Survival”.
Hidden away to be protected from a life of expectations, Sophia’s was safe guarded until she lost both her parents. Now a woman ad in order to protect those closest to her, Sophia has to go back Andy own her position of Don. With the aide of Angelo (husband & Don) they will survive the worst.

Each page was full of suspense. Awaiting next read.
Question though, uncertain if just myself, but Deja Vue on storyline. Hmmm

She was seven years old and now her name was Sarah and they lived in England far from New York. Little did she know that her father and Angelos father betrothed them when they were shidren and when her mother passes twenty years later at the gravesite she sees a very good looking man. He is Angelo and he was there to collect his bride. Her father has also passed and shew is now heir to one of the biggest and richest families in the country and therefore, great threats against her. She and Angelo have an insta connection and their feeling grow and he becomes very protective and possessive of her. Great read. Has danger, secrets revealed, mafia chaos and passion. Great charecter and world building.

I was exhilarated reading this book I couldn't put down this book down, the story had a few funny piece's in the story and the characters were intriguing. This story was about Angelo and Sophia their parents promised their children to marry, both fathers kept her safe while she lived a normal life with her mum. When her mum was very sick she said that,! she should have told her everything. Angelo has come to take what's his. As time went on Angelo was filling her in about her father and because he is dead her life is in danger she was the only heir to her father. There was so many emotions throughout, there was action, danger, kidnapping, betrayal, killings, secrets, lies, marriage, lust, passion, and maybe even love.

Her mother is about to tell her something on her death bed but it is too late. Angelo shows up at her mother's funeral, to convince her to return home for her own protection. She is in danger due her being her father's heir and a female.

Angelo and Sophia were betrothed as children, now that he has seen her again he is ready to make her his wife. There are secrets he is keeping from her, will she understand when the truth comes out?

This is a high heat, lots of drama and action. The enemies are coming for Angelo and Sophia, he will have go all out to protect her.

Sophia and her mother ran away from Sophia's mob boss father. Her mother gave her instructions (even as a little girl) things to do to stay safe. When her mother died, someone from another family showed up and told her he was there to keep her safe, but she needed to come back to NY with him. Sophia and Angelo had amazing chemistry and couldn't stay away from each other. Good thing, since her father had betrothed her to him long ago. There was drama, romance, funny interactions with her best friend from London and Franco (who was Angelo's second in command. All in all, it was a very good story that was an easy read.

When Sophia Agostini (aka Sarah Lacey) and her mother fled New York to go to England. Going in hiding from her mafia father, Carlo Agostini, head of the Cosa Nostra.
Sophia left her betrothed behind also. Promised (bound) to Angelo Castiglia by her father.
But her father’s dead now, leaving her heir to one of the largest syndicates in the country. And open to great threats of harm from other “families”.
Angelo shows up, being the only one able to protect her. This is a story with insta love, violence, dark themes, lies, deceit and more. But we are, after all they go through, a happy ending….

This is a dark, mafia, enemies to lovers story. Sophia was raised by her mother. She did not know she was the daughter of a mafia don because her mother moved them and changed their identities. This comes out on her mother’s death bed. She is heir of the mafia family now. What she didn’t know, is that her father had arranged for her to be married to Angelo. Angelo comes to her mother’s funeral to collect on that promise. She will marry him and together they will make the family strong. Personalities clash as Sophia is pushed into her new role. Angelo is intent on making her his and making her see she wants him too. The story is well written and I enjoyed it. I received an ARC copy from the author and this is my honest review.

This was a story that you are glued to from the beginning. This is the story of Sophia who fled to France with her mother when she was young and then they end up in England. She has been given a different name Sarah because she does not know that she is the daughter of a Mafia boss. When her mother dies years later she is protected by Angelo because she was promised to him years ago and now she is in danger and Angelo does everything to make sure that she becomes and remains his. A wonderful story and definitely recommended to read.

When Sophia was 7 years old her mother took her to France they were supposed to go to the Eiffel Tower but her mother changed her mind and from there they flew to London ,she told her from now on your name is Sarah.
Years passed and her mother died at the cemetery a man came to talk to her ,he told her that he wanted to meet with her so he can talk to her.
When she met him he told her that she is in danger of being killed so she had to go back in New York.

A mother's death bed confession opens up a whole new life and questions for Sophia that she was unaware of. When Angelo shows up claiming that he is her betrothed and there to keep her safe, she is skeptical. This tension between them not only drives the story forward but adds to the danger that surrounds them. Their complicated dynamic only heightened the chemistry, which was entertaining. It was an exciting, suspenseful, and steamy read.

This is Book 4 in the Ruthless Mafia Sinners Series by this author, and can be read as a standalone. It is an enemies to lovers, mafia romance between Sophia and Angelo. These flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an entertaining read. It is a love story with drama and steam, danger and deceit, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An emotional ride.
