This story provides the deep and raw understanding this world needs of what a loved one endures when in the throes of addiction. Especially in a time where addiction rates are so high. A heart-wrenching beginning, Robert recounts life events that lead him down an intensely dark path towards rock bottom and the impact it had on his mindset, actions and those around him. Just as the reader feels there is no hope left, his story provides the faith, courage and resilience of a life not only turned around but fulfilled. This is a must-read s story that can inspire us all!

I just finished Unscarred: An Epic Fight to Heal My Wounds from Addiction by Robert Carney Author. This book is an absolute true story of Robby's life from his younger years as a young kid to an addict to living a great life through recovery. I am so happy that I read this book. I tabbed more parts of this book than any other book I have read before. There were so many parts that resonated with me. I am blessed to know Robby and Diane White Carney. I truly hope that through his life experiences, he can help so many others with their recovery. A definite ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

What stood out most was the vulnerability. Robert shares the ugly parts as well as the victories, and that makes his story believable and inspiring. This book reminds me that change is possible, no matter how far gone things feel.
