The Christmas Laughbox contains FIVE holiday novels and short stories, plus one ALL NEW NOVELLA you can’t find anywhere else.
Cozy holidays by the fire, with your hot (book) billionaire, featuring office romances, small towns, enemies-to-lovers conflicts, and of course, that perennial favorite - springing your girlfriend from jail on Christmas Eve after she’s been arrested for lewd acts.
Heartwarming baby’s first Christmases (ignore the cat who sets the tree on fire). Beautiful treks into a winter wonderland amidst New England snow with your boyfriend(s). Hilariously chaotic extended family gatherings with “secret Santa” games so competitive they turn into bloodsport.
You know. Everything you’ve come to expect from a Julia Kent romantic comedy. :)
Each series is wildly different from the others, with varying heat levels, different hijinks, but always, always - a heartwarming world you want to live in, with heroes who make you swoon and heroines who make you laugh - and cheer on in their quests for happily-ever-after endings.

New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Julia Kent writes romantic comedy with an edge. Since 2013, she has sold more than 2 million books, with 5 New York Times bestsellers and more than 21 appearances on the USA Today bestseller list. Her books have been translated into French, German, and Italian, with more titles releasing in the future.
From billionaires to BBWs to new adult rock stars, Julia finds a sensual, goofy joy in every contemporary romance she writes. Unlike Shannon from Shopping for a Billionaire, she did not meet her husband after dropping her phone in a men's room toilet (and he isn't a billionaire in a rom com).
She also writes romantic suspense as Meli Raine, sexy shifter romances as DJ Jennings, billionaire shifters as half of the author team Diana Seere, and co-authors with Elisa Reed.
She lives in New England with her husband and three children in a household where she is the only person with the gene required to change empty toilet paper rolls.
Christmas Shopping for a Billionaire Oh my... We probably didn't need to witness this little holiday disaster, but it gives a greater appreciation for the insanity that Shannon and Declan deal with in their inner circle of family and friends on a daily basis. It's laugh-out-loud funny and way too short. Shopping for a Baby's First Christmas Light of heaven, I hurt. My eyes are teary, my throat’s scratchy, my ribs ache, and my abs make my every move agony. I haven’t laughed that hard since I read the last Shopping series book. As anyone who’s read any book in the series can attest, when any event involves Marie (and especially Chuckles), the worst that can happen will. This means we get to witness a slapstick comedy Christmas. Including, but not limited to, a pet rodeo, visits with emergency services, and Declan and Andrew trying to outdo one another. And amid all that hilarity are some beautiful, poignant moments about family, Christmases past, and loved ones who are no longer with us. The set up for what’s coming next in the series has me sweating with both anticipation and pure terror. Shopping for a Yankee Swap There are two things I love about this series. The first, and probably the most obvious thing I love about the McCormick and Jacoby families, is that anything they’re involved in is guaranteed to make me laugh so hard I hurt myself. The other thing I love about this series is a little sneakier. It’s nowhere near as in-your-face as the comedy. I love that these books have moments of great introspection and give me the opportunity to think about my own opinions on some heavy personal topics. Things like: what defines a family, how do you determine a person’s worth, what’s the true measure of success? The McCormick men, in particular, are faced with these questions, and some of the answers they come up with pleasantly surprised me. I know that any time spent with Shannon and Declan (and their extended clans) will be wildly entertaining and be over long before I’m ready for it to end. And that’s exactly how I’m feeling now, laughing and happy, but it was over far too soon. I’m more than ready to come back and do this again with the next one. Random Acts of Christmas This is Christmas as it can only happen to Darla, Trevor, and Joe. It’s not exactly an accurate comparison, but this felt a little like the Three Stooges do It’s a Wonderful Life. There’s all the zany slapstick humor we’ve come to expect and love from this series. There’s also some beautiful, sweet moments showing the power and magic of the season. Christmasly Obedient TBR Love You Christmas This was a Christmas you could only find in Luview: filled with laughter and every other big emotion. Luke and Kylie, and everything they had to deal with in the last days leading up to Christmas, had me swinging wildly between howling in amusement and nearly bawling my eyes out. Because, while the author is a master with comedy, she’s an absolute sniper with the deeply poignant moments that force you to stop and think. I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.
The Christmas Laughbox by Julia Kent is an anthology of Christmas stories from across her many hilarious romantic comedy series. Most of the books included are already published books, with the addition of one completely new story. The books include:
- Christmas Shopping For A Billionaire - Shopping For A Baby’s First Christmas - Shopping For A Yankee Swap - Random Acts of Christmas - Christmasly Obedient - Love You Christmas
Anyone familiar with the Shopping For A Billionaire series knows how zany the McCormicks and the Jacobys are and rereading the holiday novels was a trip down memory lane. Random Acts of Christmas was also a laugh out loud delight of zany antics. Christmasly Obedient and Love You Christmas were introductions to series I have yet had the opportunity to experience and both have definitely whet my appetite for diving into those series as well. All together, the anthology gives the reader cozy holidays by the fire with hot billionaires, and springing your girlfriend from jail on Christmas Eve, baby’s first Christmases, treks into the snow in the wilderness, and chaotic secret Santa games. The stories vary in heat level, and the level of craziness, but they all invite you to inhabit worlds filled with people that make you want to stay forever. They lighten your heart with swoony heroes and funny heroines, guaranteed laughs and happy endings. The Christmas Laughbox is a shining example of Julia Kent’s exemplary writing and never ending creativity. If you enjoy a romantic comedy that will have you rolling on the floor, then an anthology of six of them is a must read for you!
I would like to thank Julia Kent for providing this ARC in exchange for my honest review and the opportunity to serve on her ARC team for the past year. I hope that I will have the opportunity to continue to do so in the coming year. All opinions expressed are my own.
I recently dove into The Christmas Laughbox by Julia Kent, and I must say, it was a delightful holiday treat! This collection features five charming holiday novels and one exclusive novella, all packed with the humor and romance that Kent is known for.
From the moment I started reading, I was drawn into the festive atmosphere. Each story is set against a backdrop of holiday cheer, showcasing themes like office romances, small-town charm, and the classic enemies-to-lovers trope. I found myself laughing out loud at some of the outrageous situations—like the time a character springs their girlfriend from jail on Christmas Eve! It’s these quirky moments that really highlight Kent's signature wit.
What I appreciated most was how each story felt distinct yet connected. I loved getting to know different characters while still enjoying familiar faces throughout the collection. Kent's writing is so engaging and accessible that I found myself completely lost in the narratives. The balance of heartfelt moments and comedic escapades made for a perfect holiday read.
That said, I did notice that some plots leaned a bit toward predictability. However, this was often overshadowed by the charming character development and entertaining dialogue that kept me turning the pages.
Overall, The Christmas Laughbox is a joyful addition to my holiday reading list. It earns a solid four stars from me for its humor, heartwarming tales, and festive spirit. Whether you’re curling up by the fire or enjoying a quiet evening, this collection is sure to bring smiles and laughter throughout the season!
***** Christmas Shopping for a Billionaire Back to how they met Shannon and Declan find themselves working in the mall as Santa and a sexy elf. Tiger moms, #Hot Santa, going viral, wardrobe malfunctions and dealing with the public makes for fun reading
***** Shopping for a Baby's First Christmas Spending Christmas eve at mom’s house. Utter chaos, pajamas, carols, the search for a private moment, pets, waffles, power outages and candles. This story will be remembered in those that follow for a climatic event.
***** Shopping for a Yankee Swap A hysterical “strange gift” contest. Thrift stores, scout wreaths, the mother of all trees, helicopters and not becoming your parents.
***** Random Acts of Christmas Epic truth or dare, a threesome who all end up in places they do not want to be - separately for the most part. Phone tracking, gerbils, chickens and snark.
***** Christmasly Obedient Another threesome, lots of family, cooking, thunder snow and holiday goodness.
***** Love You Christmas Always a good trip in Love You, Maine. Randy the moose is on the prowl, small town charm , family and friends. Love you may focus on Valentine’s Day, but don’t discount Christmas!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
I have read each of the books in this set previously with the exception of the new novella which is titled " Love you Christmas". Each is written in Julia Kent style, they will make you laugh out loud, gasp, shed a tear and fan your face while swooning during some scenes all while cheering each one on while hoping they get the happily ever after you so want them to get! I have loved each book written by Julia Kent and have been a fan since I read my first book by her called "Random Acts of Crazy". It was that book that hooked my on her writings. If you haven't read any of her other books you do not know what you are missing. Take a chance you will not be disappointed. These boxsets are a great collection of some her works, so worth getting as you get Julia Kent at her best!
The Christmas Laughbox, Laughbox Boxed Sets book 4, written by Julia Kent. Ms Kent never fails to amaze me with her hilarious scenes in her wonderful rom coms! Have you ever read a book and wondered just how mentally unstable the author had to have been to come up with the story? No? Just me?. Oh well. lol. I am always happy to go back to spend time with the Jacoby's and McCormick's, along with all of their friends and family! Their big extended family has kept me sated for quite a captivating and enthralling series! And Luview Maine? Yes please! If you start with this boxed set, drop a line and let me know how long it takes you to decide to begin with BOOK NUMBER 1! Go on and try to forget about Shannon and Declan, I double dog dare you! Always a pleasure Ms Kent! Always a pleasure!
I am a huge fan of Julia Kent's and have read and reviewed all of these books previously, apart from Love You Christmas which is a new novella set in the town of Luview, Maine. All of these books are written with Ms. Kent's humor, the feelings of love, family togetherness that make you alternately cringe with embarrassment and laugh out loud and a poignancy that sneaks up on you and brings tears to your eyes. Ms. Kent is a true wordsmith, a master at weaving an amazing tale that brings her stories to life. Best served curled up in front of a fire with a hot chocolate and enough free time to escape in the Christmas Laughbox.
Something old, something new…wait, this is Christmas, not a wedding. Although, this crafty storyteller does have an entire wedding series, if that's your jam. But here you'll get something new, maybe something new to you, and some stories we've read with characters we've come to know and love. And all with a Christmas theme.
This collection is perfect for when you have small pockets of time and need an escape from the hectic holidays. Sweet, charming, smexy, and full of heart, these stories are just the thing to put you in the holiday spirit!
I'm a big fan of Julia's work, she has a way of writing that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and her humour is spot on.
This is a collection of Christmas reads - all of which I'd read but easily read again! Apart from Love You Christmas which is where we get to catch up with Luke and his Christmas shenanigans as Maine's police officer on duty! There's humour, a sense of community, empathy, good news and a pile of words that will make you smile!
This is a great sampling of Julia Kent’s various series, all with a Christmas touch! An added feature is a novella back in Love You Maine, featuring Luke and Kylie. It’s almost Christmas and as the police chief, Luke has to fill in for any officer off sick. Unfortunately, his wife Kylie has some important news for him but an incident outside of Love You Harder and other incidents makes for a very full and late night. These two are such a great pair, and this is a wonderful addendum to their story.
This collection of books is a great way to discover a few of the funny stories Julia Kent has written. Each one is filled with love & humor, with a dash of OMG I can't believe it...
I've read all these stories before, but if you don't know this author, this is a collection you won't regret buying.
Worth buying!
I received this free ARC through an email promotion, and this is my honest review.
I love these collections that Julia Kent puts together. I get to visit some of my old favorites for the holidays along with the new Novella Love You Christmas with all of our friends from the Love You Maine series. I love Luke and Kylie's story and what a special gift that get for Christmas. It may have brought a tear to my eye in between my laughing at Love You Harder's pre holiday issues and of course, Randy the Moose. Curl up with your cup of peppermint hot chocolate and enjoy!!
This novella is the epitome of the stories that are shared by Julia Kent. Funny, sexy with a dose of ridicule but heartwarming and hilarious rom-coms. Each story brings a layer of naughtiness and fun into each series. Thank you Julia it is always a pleasure to read your stories and you manage to surprise us every time! The holiday season is never the same when your characters are around!
The Christmas Laughbox by Julia Kent is a delightful holiday read! Filled with humor, romance, and festive cheer, this book will have you laughing and feeling warm inside. Julia Kent's characters are lovable and relatable, making the stories both entertaining and heartwarming. It's the perfect book to get you into the holiday spirit. Highly recommended!
Love all these series and the novellas top off each with Christmas cheer. Can’t go wrong here. Grab them all in one great book. And if you haven’t read any of the books, grab them now, and have a great read.
I loved rereading these stories. Julia Kent is fantastic at making one laugh out loud at all the antics of her characters. Somehow she turns them into sounding so real and loveable. I can highly recommend all her books.
A fun introduction to a number of Julia Kent's series and her characters. I have been reading this title mainly in the morning as a way to wake up my brain while eating breakfast. A fun way to wake up!
