“This character and her story are what I’ve been needing in a book!” ––FoxytheRacoon12 Cassie Logan is happy. She’s a stay-at-home mom of two teenagers, married to a U.S. Marshal. Everything changes when her husband sends men to kidnap her as part of an audition to work for the Keeper Program, a top-secret division of WITSEC.
Suddenly, Cassie must reevaluate her life. Although becoming a witness protection agent at thirty-eight is overwhelming, she accepts. But life doesn’t stop for training or her new job. When the witness she’s assigned to protect isn’t who she expected, she’s ready to quit––until her daughters get kidnapped along with the witness.
With everyone’s life on the line, can she dig deep enough to save them all…
The gripping and inspiring story of a woman finding her identity outside of motherhood.
Perfect for fans of Kristin Hannah, Liane Moriarty, and Elin Hilderbrand.
Ashley Warner grew up devouring any Nancy Drew, Bobbsey Twins, Boxcar Children, or Cam Jasen books she could get her hands on. Her parents often found her snuggled up in a blanket next to a big stack of books. Not much has changed...
After receiving her nursing degree at Brigham Young University, she worked in the Emergency Room where the idea for her Real Nurses series was born.
Now she lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana herding her four children, their pet turtle, and a crazy Goldendoodle. When she's not baking with her kids, or running, or hiking with her her fantastic husband, you can find her hiding in the corner feverishly working on her books.
I think the book lost me after chapter one. I like to give books a chance but I just couldn’t get very interested in it. It breaks my heart as I know how hard it is for an author to write a book that means everything to them but perhaps it is just not the right time for me to read this. I will revisit.
A nice easy read with some action, some adventure and a bit of romance. The main emphasis is a woman taking command of her life as her family matures and finding fulfillment in her own accomplishments.
