~Covenant Of Lies~Regents of Covenant House Book 1~Aisling Elizabeth~

~Duet Narration~Lucy Rivers & Matthew Sharpe~

~Production~Blue Nose Audio~

"Run Princess, run fast… and hide. Because when I catch you, I will claim you, and then I will own you, mind, body, and soul."

~This was my first read by Aisling Elizabeth & I devoured it! The bully trope in this book had my jaw on the floor. This book follows Cade our strong smart smart-mouthed FMC who spoke out to the wrong person without knowing the consequences of her actions. Logan, Ryder, & Cole the leaders of the campus become hyper-fixated on Cade & decide to make it their mission to break her. Will our strong-willed FMC come out on top or will she submit to their power...

The duet narration for this audiobook was amazing! Both Lucy & Matthew did a phenomenal job at bringing every one of these characters to life & I loved the accents as well! I can't wait to listen to book 2 as this one ended in somewhat of a cliffhanger!

If you like dark why choose books & a bully trope that will make you rage look no further! I do however want to say please take the trigger warnings seriously because nothing about this book is loving.~

~As Always Happy Reading~

Binged in a day because I couldn't get enough. I struggle to find bully romances I like because I cannot stand weak FL who dither around...but Cade? I aspire for her ballsiness. She's learning, adapting and taking us with her for it but she remains her unique self the whole time.
Whilst Cade is strong, her men are all unique in their own way too which I love. Each of them has his own motivations and stresses and the whole society / Covenant requirements going on around them is just brilliantly mad. I could totally see it in a film.
The bullying is uncomfortable and yeah you'd call the police for what they do (especially one unhinged ML!) to her, but it makes sense and is dark romance and spicy in the world the author has built and by the end of that damn cliffhanger ending I was gutted the book was over. I've got over half a dozen unanswered questions from their pasts, what's getting stirred up...cannot wait for second book.
ARC but probably going to buy the full set of paperbacks when series is complete just because I have issues now.

My gosh.... I think this is my first darker romance where all I'm seeing is SA over and over with no real reasoning behind the aggressive intimacy other than for power and to break our female lead. To be fair, it is said throughout, that they want to break her, but usually, these storylines have some balance that shows the aggressive, explicit situations and also have some type of care behind them. These young guys need to be put in check, and I don't usually say that. But these dudes! These guys! Come on, man! This was wild to try and fall into, and overall it's very entertaining, and the drama and twisted nature is wild, but I'm not finding much to cheer for other than can the Heathens show up to this British posh school and show these three boys some manners? lol. Killian would never allow this behavior, lol. The breaking is usually in a form to help put back together the female lead in more powerful ways.... I just see this girl being tormented, hurt, and claimed in the most ruthless, heartshattering ways, and finding hope for her seems bleak.

The trope is very obvious and traditional in itself. Bully romance with an enemies to lovers vibe at some point in hoping. Posh elites, using college as a watering hole to learn how to stomp around in interpersonal relationships, and petty crimes before taking over their daddies big scary mafia corporations. There isn't a lot of history that is shared about the true underlying plots and storyline in this book as you read. We get tidbits in between the absolutely over reactive behavior of our leader Logan who sets a plan in motion purely off of a temper tantrum to take control of Cadance because she mouthed off a little bit one time. Seems a bit extrem, and if that's all it takes to ruffle his feathers.. Maybe daddy dearest should find a stronger spined heir that isn't so emotionally tirggered.. Or so we think so far. Could there be more to it other than pure selfish obsession to fix his ego and pride? Maybe. It's hard to tell in book one as we are pulled through turmoil at the hands if these young men who live out their sickest Fantasies in massive degradation power plays towards Cadance after they take over her entire life and future forcing her into their clubs Consort place by forging documents and using ruining her geandparents as leverage. All because our leading lady talked back to their lead guy one time. And not in any real impactfull way. A little sassy mouthing off, and these boys might as well be a pit bull holding onto their pride, trying to destroy her and break her into nothing.

The audacity of this book is intense. We basically have a frat house that has three main houses. Each house gets to have one live in upper class female student as their Consort after they throw a big hunting party and hunt down all the girls to get their winnings. They then claim her in the woods.... Meant to teach the young men how to carry a household and only be devoted to one woman to take into their future, but these young dudes really just use them as live in sex slaves. And Cadance is no different. Other than that, she hasn't been brought up in the rich elite world as a young woman expected to provide such things in such roles. This isn't her world, and Logan and his boys have gone above and beyond to pull her into it just to torture her. Give her one of the most coveted titles a girl could carry in their world and set them up for their bright futures in being trophy wives to their powerful husband's some day. But the more Cadance is pushed into her new place, the more she's realizing a lot more shady things are going on than she realizes, and this little college house game runs deeper than the sick dark desires she has to keep skirting in her new house and under her new role.

All three of our guys have different personalities but also the same characteristics we see in a lot of plots like this. We have the gruff stone walled Leader. The calm thinking diplomat that tries to balance out the behaviors of his over reactive leading best friend, and then the loose cannon, who is already overly obsessed with our girl before the plot even starts moving. They all come into Cades life like balls of fire and only have one purpose in mind, to burn her up. Fully. And the games they start playing with her are brutal. Cruel even. They do nothing but blackmail and force this girls hand in every way. She begs them to stop, and they apologize and keep going. It's wild. How can it get any worse! She doesnt deserve anything she is being put through, and it's hard to see any real reason to cheer for this foursome but there are more and more pieces starting to crack under the pressure of it all and it isn't just Cadance.

This book is hard to read because it really is just a lot of drama and torment of a young girl doing everything she can and in no way hurting anyone else. She is barely hanging on to her own scholarship and trying to find out about her mom's past at the school and I think her new role as Consort is going to open more doors to her past eventually then she realizes. But as of now It seems she is really lost in the chaos that is within the walls of the Covenant House, and no one is going to save her. Unless she figures out how to get ahead of her 3 captors that don't seem to have any plans in letting her go while she serves as their Consort for the next year. How will she survive the torment, and is there more to her new role than she thinks?

The explicit content in this book does not mess around. Although we get inner dialog from all parties involved that cater to deeper feelings and thoughts, this girl really is just SAd over and over throughout this book. She is demoralized. Shamed. Abused. It's wild!!!!! And the closeout scene..... that was so feral... first offense protocol to breaking a contractual rule as a Consort... the punishment was... hard to handle. I think a lot of people will struggle with this plot purely on the fact that there seems to be no redeeming qualities of any of these young guys and what they are doing to our girl... Not everyone is Damon Torrence, and not everyone can be redeemed in such classy ways, lol.

There isn't a lot that happens depth wise in this book other than the utter turmoil of our girl dealing with the sick and twisted games her new life has brought her. We are given lots of tiny pieces that could turn into more, and I hope they do. This book has a lot of darkness and drama and audacity in a lot of its ways, so now I just need more plot building. But at the end of this book, I was heavily invested, and I need more!! I need our story and characters to deepen, and I think we will get just that in book two.

We were left in a major cliff hanger. The closeout was intense and guttural and disgusting!!!! It was so messed up!!! But Cadance let's them know that she isn't fully in the dark on her new title and knows that she has a very, very strong card up her sleeve. They Regents can't touch her unless she gives permission, and the rules are that no one, not our boys or our Consort, can have outside relations of any kind other than with each other... So... now that they have fully broken her and disgusted her to a point of no return... how will they ever get their hands fully on her... I guess we will have to wait and see..

I CANT BELIEVE I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE END OF THE YEAR!!!!

Worth it, lol!!

ALC REVIEW

Covenant of Lies is a dark academia, why choose, bully romance. And like most bully romance series, the first book is full of tough moments and triggers galore, but I can see the potential in this story and I can already tell I’m going to be addicted. Our story is based at Regents University. There are elite houses and a hierarchy that involves a lot of dark tradition. Our FMC Cadence catches the eye of one of the leaders of the elite and she has no idea but their heated encounter will lead to events that will change her whole college experience.
I love Cadence. She’s strong and even though she has allowed herself to be manipulated by these men, I can tell her time to take the upper hand is coming, and when that happens, I think we will be in for some good old fashioned groveling. I’m sure at some point I will be sympathetic to Logan, Ryder and Cole, but right now I just want to see Cadence take them down a peg.
Another amazing duet audio performance paired with fabulous narrators just enriches this story so much and really brings the characters to life. If you’re a fan of bully romance and why choose, I think you’ll love this series. As always, check your triggers and if you proceed let me know if you enjoyed this book as much as I did!!

Check your triggers, then strap in for one hell of a wild ride through this dark academia-why choose-bully romance! Covenant of Lies is the first audiobook in Aisling Elizabeth’s incredible Regents of Coventry House series. If I had to pick one word to describe this story, it would be… intense. And honestly, intense barely even covers it. I’ve definitely read/listened to my share of dark academia and bully romance—and I am always up for Why Choose—but this is seriously one of the most compelling and provocative audiobooks in this genre that I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. Cadence, or “Cade” as she prefers to be called, has come to the prestigious Regents University for more than an elite education. She’s searching for information about her late mother, who also attended the university. Cade is a strong and determined young woman who is not afraid to speak her mind or to tell anyone off if she deems them deserving. Unfortunately for her, doing so puts her square in the crosshairs of the gorgeous and darkly-enigmatic Logan, one of the regents of Coventry House, who then makes it his mission to break her. And with the help of his fellow Coventry House regents, Ryder and Cole, he sets about doing just that. They systematically dismantle her carefully-crafted life with the intention of controlling her mind, body, and soul. And while Cade is mysteriously drawn to each of these insanely sexy but oh-so-bad-for-her men, she is not about to surrender to their control so easily. With a gripping plot brimming with deception and intrigue, an underlying secret society element, and characters that just jump right off the page, you cannot help but be completely enthralled with this story. And with the delicious cliffhanger this story ends on, I am beyond excited to see where this series takes us next.

The duet-style narration is flawlessly performed by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe. Both of these incredibly talented voice actors exceeded all of my admittedly high expectations with their complete embodiment of these characters. They both effortlessly portray several characters, each with their own individual voices and personalities. Together, they brought this phenomenal story to life and made me believe and feel every single word and emotion.

This was my very first Aisling Elizabeth book, and while the premise had a lot of potential, it didn’t fully captivate me the way I had hoped. The world of secret societies, power games, and hidden legacies is intriguing, but at times the story felt like it needed a little more grip to truly pull me in.

That being said, the duet narration absolutely elevated the experience. Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe did a phenomenal job of breathing life into each character, and I adored the accents it gave the story an extra layer of richness and authenticity. The performance itself was flawless and made the book much more engaging to listen to.

The Story
At Regents University of Law & Economics, privilege and status dictate everything. The FMC arrives with the simple goal of getting an education and uncovering the truth about her mother’s disappearance, but she quickly finds herself ensnared in the dangerous world of Covenant House a secret society where lies equal power and trust can destroy you. Caught in the pull of three powerful men, each with their own dark motives, she realizes that failure doesn’t just mean losing it means complete ruin.

What I Liked
✔️ Dark academia / secret society vibes
✔️ The twisted dynamic between the FMC and the three Regents
✔️ Narration that turned the audiobook into a true performance
✔️ The promise of more intrigue to come

The book ends on a cliffhanger, leaving plenty of unanswered questions and setting up the series for what could be an intense continuation.

Tropes
Secret Society / Dark Academia
Reverse Harem / Why Choose
Possessive MMCs
Mystery Family Legacy
Cliffhanger Ending

Final Thoughts
Covenant of Lies had an intriguing setup with its elite university setting and secret society politics, but for me, it didn’t fully land in terms of pacing and emotional pull. However, the duet narration by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe was phenomenal so much so that it kept me invested even when the story slowed. If you enjoy dark academia mixed with twisted romance dynamics and don’t mind a cliffhanger ending, this series opener might be worth diving into.

Covenant of Lies is a gripping entry in the dark academia, why-choose, bully romance genre, immersing readers in the intense and often tumultuous world of Regents University. The story follows Cadence "Cade" Turner, a determined young woman seeking answers about her mother's mysterious disappearance while navigating the treacherous waters of an elite institution where wealth, status, and deception reign supreme. The story's tension escalates as Cade becomes the focus of three influential students: the obsessive Ryder, the smitten Cole, and the destructive Logan. Each character's complex motivations add layers to the tale, creating a tumultuous journey of manipulation and desire. The novel's dramatic cliffhanger promises an electrifying continuation, leaving readers eagerly anticipating the unravelling of secrets and the resolution of Cade's daring quest for truth in a world where trust is a perilous gamble.
Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe truly outdid themselves with their duet performance. Their ability to embody multiple characters with such depth and authenticity was nothing short of astounding. The accents they employed added a rich layer of authenticity and engagement, enhancing the storytelling experience in a profound way. Their flawless delivery breathed life into the narrative, creating an emotionally resonant and immersive experience that captivated listeners from start to finish. The narrators infused the storyline with a satisfying depth and emotional power, making it an unforgettable auditory journey.

A Dark University Bully Romance

Covenant of Lies is an enemies-to-lovers dark bully, secret society, academy romance and the first instalment in the Regents of Covenant House series. By Aisling Elizabeth.

This was absolutely captivating from beginning to end. Well paced and with amazing narration from these superbly talented voice actors.

The narrators brought such an incredible and emotionally powerful and supremely satisfying depth to the overall storyline and character development! Out of this world… I was unable to stop listening to this incredible narration finding myself completely immersed in the story and not wanting it to end!

We have it all. Sizzling hot spice, power play, power dynamics, twists and turns, secrets and possessiveness. A whole lot of mystery and dark chaos. A purely brilliant storyline which leaves you with more questions than answers!

Logan, Rider and Cole, are powerful members of a secret society and all kinds of hotness. I love their dynamics. And when Cadence, becomes involved she finds she may have bitten off more than she can chew! Overall brilliant character development and dynamics.

Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe performed in duet and brought the multiple characters to life with immense depth and beauty of balance. Truly incredible performances!

I can’t wait for book 2…

A must for all audiobook fans!

Wow—I was not expecting this! Covenant of Lies is a dark bully romance that throws you into a world of secret societies, manipulation, and raw power dynamics. Honestly, I’m still torn on whether I even want the FMC to end up with these men… because let’s face it, they are straight-up rude a$$holes!

Aisling Elizabeth has done a fantastic job crafting a world where the patriarchy runs rampant and danger lurks behind every choice. Our FMC is strong-willed, resilient, and fighting tooth and nail to survive the impossible situation she’s been forced into. The men may be brutal, but every so often you catch glimpses of something redeeming beneath their darkness-maybe—which kept me hooked, wondering if they’ll ever let that side shine through.

The audiobook performance elevated the story even more. Lucy Rivers absolutely nailed it, as always, and I was pleasantly surprised by new to me voice actor Matthew Sharpe—his voice acting brought so much intensity and depth. Together, their chemistry made the story even more immersive and gripping.

If you enjoy dark romance with high stakes, morally gray characters, and addictive storytelling, you don’t want to miss this one. It’s intense, twisted, and completely compelling. 4stars!

Covenant of Lies is the first book in the Regents of Covenant House series. This is a dark university, why choose romance. This book has many Trigger Warnings. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Kade is a scholarship student at a very prestigious university. She is just finishing her first year and about to enroll for her second year. Her best friend ghosted her right before school was to start. The last they had talked, her best friend was supposed to pick her up at the train station. To her shock and surprise Ryder was the one picking Kade up. Logan, Ryder, and Cole are the current Regents of Covenant House. They have been groomed to fill the secret society spots after graduation. They now have to pick their Consort. Logan has chosen Kade as their Consort. The only problem is, she didn’t apply for the position. Now she is stuck as the Covenant House Consort until graduation. If she doesn’t complete the tasks she will have to pay all four years of her tuition back. This book is extremely dark at times. I can’t wait to see what will happen next.

Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe did a phenomenal job narrating this book in duet style narration. Matthew Sharpe is a new narrator to me. I can’t wait to listen to more books in the future.

Holy heck!! Talk about a DARK BULLY ROMANCE!!

—This one is definitely not for those who have not read the bully genre before—
I had the audiobook of this story and when I tell you, I love Lucy Rivers, I mean it. She brought us Cadence, a strong willed FMC. Full of fiery independence and a steel backbone!! I love that that she is not weak!!
The male narrator for all the MC’s was Matthew Sharpe and did a brilliant job adding unique flairs into each of the three men. Making it easy to tell who was Logan, Ryder and Cole! Done so well I forgot it was only one male narrator voicing them!
The MC’s are privileged, elite academy royalty. They basically run the academy and everything they are a part of is so, sooo messed up.
And I’m here for it.
-Also THE ACCENTS!! 👌🏽

This is definitely one of my top bully romances so far, and I cannot believe it ended in a cliffy!! Cannot wait to see what happens in book 2!

Thank you for the audiobook Aisling Elizabeth & Blue Nose Audio ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Duet Narration by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe

Covenant of Lies is a dark academia, why-choose, Secret society, and bully romance. I was intrigued by the setup as a dark romance with a secret society that can often be a captivating listen. As much as I wanted to love this book, I really struggled to stay invested in the storyline. So much mystery and powerful dominance are shown throughout the story. The cast consists of Logan, Ryder, Cole, and Cadence. Each one has their own vice with Cadence, with his want to "break her". If you have some triggers, you will want to check out the TW before continuing with the story.

Readers are left on a cliffhanger, with a lot of answers still needed. I'm not sure if I am invested enough to continue with the story. If you have some triggers, you will want to check out the TW before continuing with the story.

Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe were both great to listen to, and their performance really kept me going. This was my first listen with Matthew Sharpe, and I enjoyed his narration and hope to find more books with him soon.

Book/ALC Review:

Covenant of Lies is a dark academic why choose bully romance, so PLEASE CHECK YOUR Triggers!!! Even though this book is filled with non con, dub con, and CNC, it accentuates the experience and plot for this story. Man oh man this book took me on a dark ride I couldn’t jump off. The three MMCs are unique and very unhinged in different ways. Logan, the leader of the group loves having all the control and has no qualms about giving out the most excruciating punishments. Ryder, reminds me of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde with how he goes from 0-60 with his emotions and actions. This man can be sweet and kind one moment, then terrifying and crazy the next! Then there’s Cole, Mr. Silence and the mediator of the group. He does his best to keep the peace within the group and makes attempts to help Cade, but the minute you cross this man there will be hell to pay! Our FMC, Cadence aka Cade, is a sassy and mouthy little firecracker. Her resilience and defiance is most definitely giving these guys a run for their money. At times she has each men question whether if she’s really the one with the most control. Throughout this story she definitely goes through a rough time and learns the hard way that if you go off script there will be serious consequences! The end definitely caught me off guard and left me screaming for more!

For the audiobook, Lucy Rivers and Mathew Sharpe’s performance was nothing short of spectacular and left me speechless. The accents definitely heightened the listening experience! The portrayal of the characters was well done and on point! Thank you Blue Nose Audio for this ALC opportunity! Can’t wait for book 2!

*ARC Review*

Covenant of Lies is the ultimate rollercoaster ride of secrets, power plays, and scorching chemistry! 🎢🔥 Picture an elite world where lies are currency, danger lurks around every corner, and three insanely powerful guys decide you are their obsession. 😏💎

The drama is off the charts—one spirals out of control with possessive intensity, one brings a stormy calm, and the last? Pure chaos and destruction. 🌪️💔 But here’s the kicker: they don’t just want her—they own her. And oh boy, the push-pull tension had me biting my nails and screaming, “JUST KISS ALREADY!” 😱💋

The mystery is deliciously twisty, the secret society vibes are chef’s kiss, and the stakes? Sky-high. 🌌 This book is dark, spicy, and addictive, with plenty of “OMG did that just happen?!” moments. Trust me, you’ll be hooked from the first page and begging for book two. 🔥✨

Covenant of Lies by Aisling Elizabeth is a dark, enemies-to-lovers academy romance set in the world of secret societies and obsession. It’s intense, twisted, and unapologetic—so check the trigger warnings before starting.

I enjoyed the premise but wished for more backstory on the elites and why the heroine was chosen beyond simply being broken down. The men were compelling but truly depraved, with no redeeming qualities to balance their cruelty.

Narration by Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe was solid, though Sharpe’s voices could have used more variation. Overall, a gripping start to the Regents of Covenant House series, perfect for fans of dark bully romance who prefer their anti-heroes without soft edges.

This book was fantastic! The characters, the heat, the storyline - all chefs kiss. I can't wait for the next one because I NEED MORE!

Logan, Ryder and Cole are the big men on campus. Brothers by choice, they rule Regents and dare anyone to defy them. When Cade talks back to Logan, she doesn't realize how much big of a mistake she just made.. but she will.....

After some paperwork changes and greasing some hands, the boys have Cade right where they want her. Logan sees her as a way to prove something to his father, Ryder is borderline certifiably obsessed with her and Cole just thinks this is a very bad idea.

Will Cade ever fit in with their world? Will the boys ever see her as more than just a possession?

You will have to read it to find out

This is book 1 in a VERY DARK, reverse harem bully romance. The degredation in this story is INTENSE. (Check those TWs, people!)

Not going to lie, it took me a hot minute to truly get into the book. The cliffhanger isn’t a nail-biter in my opinion, but I will 100% be moving on to the 2nd book. I need it now 🤣

All of the MMCS are different and the author keeps you guessing as to which one is…least(?) unhinged. As of right now, I’d say Ryder is my favorite. Logan is…a problem 🤣☠️ Cole breaks my heart. I do love all of the nicknames they each have for Cade.🖤

The FMC, Cade, finds herself caught between a rock and a hard place. She’s pretty bada$$ and has purple hair, so-automatic win in my book. (No pun intended). The reader can’t help but feel for her but also root for her in some of the circumstances she’s put into.

🖤Masked MMCs
🩸Chase scene
🌶️ Spicy spice. Crazy spice. Uncomfortable spice. Spice so nice, you’ll need to listen twice.
🖤Several secrets throughout the story and we will definitely need the second book to uncover them all.
🩸The author certainly keeps you engaged with all of the hidden twists that keep you guessing

Checking Triggers is a must!!!

Cadence, Logan, Rider and, Cole

Prestigious Private School with
Archaic traditions. Cadence is chosen to be the consort for Logan, Rider and Cole. She has no idea how, what or why

Aisley Elizabeth is a new Author to me.

Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe did a fantastic job.

If bully romance and a long list of triggers are your jam, you will enjoy this audiobook.

Remember your health and wellbeing is important. There is an extensive trigger warning chapter that must be read or listened to.

Also ends on a cliffhanger.

ALC REVIEW 🎧

⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
3.5 stars

Covenant of Lies by Aisling Elizabeth is the first book in the Regents of Covenant House series and it definitely set the stage for what feels like a dark and twisted series to come.

Tropes:
🖤 why choose
🖤 secret society
🖤 boarding school
🖤 possessive mmc’s

Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharp did a such a great job with this one. Matthew in particular impressed me with how well he voiced multiple male characters, giving each one their own personality. It made it so much easier to seperate the boys!

As for the story itself, I’m intrigued enough to continue with the series. I do enjoy a good dark bully romance, but there were moments here that pushed the darkness a little far for my taste, making it harder to get through at times.
Personally, I wished the guys had shown more softness toward the FMC to balance out the harshness. Ryder definitely stood out for me, he struggled more with the bullying Cade and tried to fight the “punishments” so because of that, he ended up being my favourite.

Overall, this was a solid setup book with promise. It gave me enough intrigue to want to see where the series goes next.

This was so slow for me and the writing was underwhelming. There was a lot of potential with this story but it wasn’t exactly captivating.
The reasoning for their teaching her who is in control was so absurd for just mouthing off to Logan. I expect if they’re ruining someone’s life it’s because of more than spilled coffee.
The mother storyline was constantly being mentioned but it felt like the reason for that was so the reader forget it was a thing. A few times things were repeated back to back. It made me feel like editing was done quickly.
Overall I’m not mad at it. I’ll follow up with the next book to see if the pacing gets better.

The ultimate tumultuous journey filled with power struggles, secrets, and intense chemistry! Haha! Imagine living in an exclusive society where three incredibly powerful men decide you are their fixation, danger is constant, and lies are valued as money. The drama is unimaginable—one provides a turbulent calm, one swings out of control with possessive fury, and the last? Anarchy and devastation. The stakes are high, the secret society vibes like chef's kiss, and the mystery is delectably convoluted. Extremely high. This novel has a lot of "OMG did that just happen?!" moments and is dark, spicy, and addictive. You'll be captivated from the first page and hankering after book two.

Holy 💩, this book was a roller coaster! By the end I wanted to punch Logan so bad!! This book is definitely not for those who are easily triggered, PLEASE read the trigger warnings before reading. It does end on a cliffhanger (not a huge one but it's still there) and I'm anxious for book 2 to come out.

Cade is after answers, and right now we have more questions about her family than we do answers. She's strong-willed and isn't easily broken by the men in this book, even at the end she's still got fight in her!

This book has all the familiar trappings of a bully acadamia romance that anyone who reads the genre will love, myself included. This is book one of what I believe will be a four-book series, and we are just beginning to get to know the characters. The boys, of course, are being Aholes, so I can't decide which one I like the most out of them at the moment, but it might be Cole. Cade is desperately trying to stay afloat, and I know she is going to have them on their knees (physically as well) very soon. It's such a brilliant start to this series, and of course, I can't wait for the next one.

Bully Romance
University
Secrets and Lies

Cade is studying at Regents University. Tries to fit in.
Logan, Ryder and Cole are campus royalty. They are the Covenant House. Four club houses on campus.
When Cade talks back to Logan the guys seek her out and make her their consort. With a contract which has been signed that Cade has no recollection of ever signing she is thrown into the guys’ world.
Obey by the rules or there will be consequences.
They want to break her. Cade is strong FMC and I can’t wait to read for the next book.

I am always a sucker for a dark romance with bully vibes. Lucy Rivers and Matthew Sharpe were an excellent pair to bring Cade, Logan, Ryder and Cole to life. I love a duet narration, this one was perfection and those British accents, sooo good. I love that The Covenant of Lies had a secret society, bully, obsession, why choose and so much depravity. Which guy was my favorite? I don’t know Ryder is kinda my vibe. The crazy is just too good. And the freaking cliffhanger at the end!! How could you do that to me?!

I really thought i was desensitised to bully romances. Boy was i wrong! This was my first Aisling book and i’ll be coming for more! And i will be coming for the 2nd book as soon as it’s out in audio, because Lucy and Matthew did amazing and i need to listen to them to be totally wrecked and (maybe not even put together).

Make sure you read/listen to those TW, they are no joke and need to be taken seriously! Otherwise welcome to your new favourite why choose bully dark academia romance. You’ll want to bash some heads, trust me!
