She Was A Secret Project, Of Her Scientist Father...Not Needed Anymore...

Blake Brief is own his own, figuring he could realize what to do with his life away from the team he loves...At a Las Vegas workshop he notes a woman...And sees men try to surround her...He can't let That happen! Well, what an intro to Haeli Becher...As she leaps around the attackers and stops them from killing him!!! What is going on?!
Seems the organization that built her up is done , so need to remove her from the earth...Blake feels something special with this girl...She is so like him...Soon He hooks up with his friends and they all try to keep her alive...A struggle with twists, turns, back-stabbing by the one person she thought she could trust...And shock as she learns the reality of her upbringing...A good vs evil struggle involving life and death...
I really enjoyed this second Blake Brief thriller and can not wait for the next! A quick, 5 STAR story that grabs you immediately and you do not breathe until the book ends.

Love the Testosterone
I am a sucker for the full-bore, hit-the-ground-running, testosterone-oozing action/thriller read. They're just plain fun, and the Blake Brier series definitely does this category proud. I love the camaraderie of Blake and his former military brothers, the raw wit, the gritty feel, and the sense that these characters place justice and loyalty in high regard.

I've never understood how an author can write a book with another author. Maybe I'm just too much of a control freak. But I'm sure many readers can think of a good author whose work wasn't as enjoyable when the author wrote with another. So, I'm always amazed at how well L.T. Ryan co-authors. He seems to have a wonderful match with this co-author, Gregory Scott. Of course, the narration of Scott Brick also adds depth, dimension, and great enjoyment to this audiobook.

The new character in this novel is fabulous. I had flashbacks at times to the old movie, "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" as Blake and Haeli exchanged lies, verbal barbs, and knowing glances. They have phenomenal chemistry that just leaps from the storyline.

If you are a fan of action reads with richly developed characters and sizzling non-stop plot lines, this series is not to be missed.

Unleashed. L.T. Ryan , Gregory Scott

Blake Brier is kind of in the twilight zone. He misses his old team, his best friends. He's bored. He decides to meet one of his buddys in Las Vegas to attend a convention. During one of the mundane, boring presentations a young woman enters the room who quickly gets his attention. Her body language is off. Somethings wrong. Then men enter the room and it's quite apparent they are looking for her. She bolts from her seat and the men go in pursuit. Now, Blake's curiosity is fully aroused. He gets up and chases after them. Catching up he observes her been treated very roughly. He immediately gets the men's attention but he is clubbed from behind. The girl observes him and immediately goes into an attack mode. Her fighting skills are off the charts. Simply put, she's the Grimm reaper, Kong Fu and the Lone Ranger all rolled into one. They both manage to escape and the story unfolds. Her old employer wants her dead. Blake aka Sir Lancelot won't allow that. This is an extremely fast paced riveting action thriller!!! Enjoyed immensely!!!

Blake Brieir is back after a sabbatical in the Himalayas climbing Everest, trying to find purpose in his life again, after the events of the previous year.
He is reluctantly coaxed into a trip to Vegas to join Griff at an computer and software convention. It isn't long before the exotic "Haeli" shows up on his radar. A good deed doesn't go unpunished, and he is soon embroiled in a situation he wasn't dealing.

Haeli turns out to be far more complex and capable of handling herself than expected, while Blake and Griff try to unlock the mystery of her past while searching for her missing father.

Big business, Corporate Security, military grade protection services are all a part of Techyon, a Government Contractor with all the answers. Genetic manipulation is at the core. A very good follow-up to Book One of the Blake Brieir Series opener.

Another scarily plausible premise

In book two of this exciting series we get another scarily plausible premise that could have huge repercussions for humanity.

It’s about eight months since the end of the events in book one. Blake is trying to find himself and come to grips with everything that happened, who he is, the decisions he made, the consequences. He’s killing time at a conference in Las Vegas when he is drawn into a situation far different from what he initially surmised. Once again someone’s life is on the line and the band is back together with a couple of new additions.

The story reels you in and keeps hold. The climactic events are a tense thrill ride. The ending sets up the potential for the next book in the series. This was a one sitting read as I couldn’t put it down.

Lots of action

Man is offered an unfathomable amount of money to shut down a research project forever and remove the humans involved by a group of pharmaceutical company CEOs. One of the humans is the result of genetic engineering and is essentially a very slowly aging super soldier. Blake and his group work to save her and up in fights across the Vegas desert.
Fast moving in the same way as the first book and quite interesting. My only question is what do you do with all those dead bodies? You can't call 911...the Agencies aren't involved so they aren't a resource for disposal. We have dead men in hotels, motels, underground facilities, and even the desert of Vegas. I really enjoyed reading this story more than I thought I would.

Not quite 4 stars but I rounded up because it appears this book is setting up the creation of a new independent company for the rest of the series. It will be interesting to see where that goes, especially with Haeli.

The start was slow for such a short book. It took a little time to get the main story. It turns out the beginning had a small tie to the end, but I think the beginning could have been shorter and still have accomplished the same thing.

Although I can buy the concept that big pharma wanted to quash this project and pay Levi to stop it, I do not believe they would find the killing of the scientist acceptable. Then add in the genetically modified Haeli and it is a little too much.

Fast action.

I enjoyed the story line, its probably been tried what with the technology we have today, but the human element is still there. Nevada is an interesting place. I've been to Las Vegas many times and contemplated the vastness of the terrain on either side of the 15 and the dangers it brings to mind. I remember a Novel I once read where they disposed of bodies off Zyzzyx Rd. and I still think of that when I approach the offramp. Most people aren't even aware of the military significance of all that land. The banter between Brier and his friends brought back fond memories.

Unleashed

A genetic manipulation gives birth to the fountain of youth. An experiment to create a super soldier turns out to be the answer to slowing the aging process. A grieving Blake meets Hailie who seems to be running for her life when she turns the tides against the four sent to kill her and disables two, kills two and walks off without a scratch. Blake gets his team together to rescue her after she is tricked into returning to her father and is set up to be killed by his employer, Levi Farr. Her father is killed by Levi and she escapes. Blake and team rescue her from a manhunt. Together again!

Another LT Ryan winner

A new character introduced by LT Ryan,. Blair is an ex Agency (we don’t know which one) assassin who finds himself embroiled in a scientist’s experiment to slow the aging process. The woman he experiments on is his daughter Haeli. She escapes from the lab she lives in, but is perused by the mercenaries working for the money behind the experiment. Meanwhile, the money man is trying to sell the wonder drug to a consortium of drug companies. Action galore in trying to stop the drug from getting on the market. ENJOY!

This is book two of the series, and I've enjoyed both books. There is nothing particularly spectacular about it, but it is a solid, if standard, story of a former military guy who continues to find himself in situations where doing right is the road less traveled, but he pushes on because that's how he's built. He is surrounded by his team of former military, current agency people with special skills that help him skirt the edges of the law to get his mission complete. The story line was creative and well told, the plot moved forward and a good pace. This was an enjoyable, quick listen.

lots of excitement

Another good one in the series with a lot of excitement each page. Finding Haley and joining their team was a very exciting time.

A little bit too much information about each gun and its purpose, but I guess the Arthur was trying to get a little more excitement into the storypersonally I thought it was a little over the top, but I’m sure you will enjoy the book as much as I did.

Another intriguing story

I was caught up in the story from the first chapter! My one question is what happened with the authorities when they discovered all the bodies at the hotel and then did anyone discover the underground compound and the carnage there? Like adding Haeli and the potential there. Looking forward to Unchartered!

Excellent, better than the first!

Love the group of characters. They fit and work well together. L.T. Ryan and Gregory Scott tell the story with excitement and intrigue. The main characters are well written and very likeable. It is very difficult to put down this book. A must read to see how the story unfolds and ends. Happy reading! 😊

Fast paced, action packed, 8 months after book 1, Unmasked. Our hero is searching for purpose, and once again a situation falls into his lap requiring the team to ‘get back together’. Holding to his moral code, Blake rushes to the aid of a damsel in distress. Needless to say this unfolds into a worthwhile read for those lovers of action.

We pick up with Blake Brier as he is processing the aftermath from the last book. His buddies are trying to pick him up and before he knows it he is embroiled in another conspiracy that involves technology and genetics manipulation. Interesting concepts, lots of action, but I am not sure I feel vested in the main character yet.

What makes this series great so far is the main action characters are spread out and not just one man show… Multiple characters playing their part and then occasionally shifts to main character… Great write.

Watch me finish the entire series in less than 2 week period. That’s how entertaining it is.

I am reading this book right after finishing the first one, where first book surprised me by imparting knowledge about blockchain and crypto currency, this one has gentics all over it. Wow this series is not what I expected it to be in a positive way and I am enjoying it every minute i am reading it. And eagerly waiting for the next one to see what it is about.

Secret revenge from the group of friends

This story was a little far out there to be real or at least it was a new view of life that I have seen. It had plenty of action, but it was pushing reality.
But it was fun and I enjoyed the ride. So I am looking for another adventure. Let the game begin.

Blake Brier is certainly worth reading and following his adventures

I liked the adventure and the fast paced action of this book (second in the series). I have enjoyed L T Ryan books for several years. All of his series involve heroes that are worth following for any fan of adventure novels.

A great read! Hooked on another LT series.

I always enjoy books by LT Ryan and now I can say Gregory Scott. Smart writing and seamless story telling. Its refreshing to read all the way through and not only get attached to the characters but also avoid wtf moments of the story that aren't realistic and seem rushed. I can always count on an enjoyable read all the way through.

AI Breakneck pace themed murder and Mayhem.

Everything you expect, tightly plotted, exquisitely characterized, on the edge of crazy believable. Loved it, need more! Pity we don't have a Novel Lauriette vacancy.

L. T. Ryan has another good read.

I liked this action-packed book. Haili was a believable character but some of her action were a little bizarre. I hope she joins Blake’s team in future books.

Entertaining

Interesting storyline with action, adventure and mysterious new characters introduced into the series.

What we don’t get is character development. We know they were special forces military but nothing previous to that. Family connections?

Ryan and Scott do it again

Superb book with a fantastic plot. Blake pulls it out at the end has joined by new female heroin. I also liked subversive addiction with Ben Porter, a new book just out. Ben is not like Blake, he’s a pretty normal guy, doing extraordinary things!

Ryan has a new series/hero that rivals the best. The plot is out of the real news as well as the conspiracy world - but very believable. And, the characters are just plain fun. Cannot wait to see where the series goes from here
