"Unbelievable events that offer a real murder mystery novel" Reader review.

It’s 1948, and in the rural town of Essex, California, and strange events are unfolding. Tom Venter, the sheriff, discovers a mutilated bull. That sets in motion a series of events so bizarre it will lead the normally stolid lawman to question his own sanity. Suddenly a bright green aurora appears over the town and concentric rings form around the sun during the day as incidents take place involving birds that attack a homestead. Eagles fly clockwise in the sky above Essex town and wolves and domestic dogs enter the town after attacking livestock in outlying farms and ranches.

In a race against time, Venter must figure out what it all means. Enlisting help from his deputy and some unlikely sources, the sheriff and the town of Essex are about to test their resolve against confounding forces that seem hell-bent on wiping Essex off the map.

This rip-roaring adventure grips the reader early and draws them into the action as the mystery deepens. Finally, the town must prepare itself for the coming invasion. It is up to the sheriff to mount a defense against the most ferocious killers that nature can offer. Wolves and dogs running savagely wild and intent on killing anything in their path.

The invasion is imminent. The battle begins.

It’s 1948, and in the rural town of Essex, California, there are strange doings transpiring. Tom Venter, the sheriff, discovers a mutilated bull. That sets in motion a series of events so bizarre it will lead the normally stolid lawman to question his own sanity. As a green aurora appears over the town, wolves and wild dogs begin to run wild. Birds begin behaving strangely as well.

Venter must figure out what it all means, and he’d better hurry, or there’s not going to be a town left to save. Enlisting help from some unlikely sources, the sheriff is about to test his mettle against confounding forces that seem hell-bent on wiping Essex off the map. This rip-roaring adventure grips the reader early and only draws them in further as the mystery deepens. It’s an evocative and engrossing novel that defies easy categorization. However, there’s no denying its character development, world building, and intrinsic entertainment value.

Amazing mystery book

This story left me with my hair standing on end and at the same time, with extraordinary intrigue and excitement. I definitely love mystery books and a bit of horror.
The book is about a series of disappearances and supernatural events that begin to occur in a small town where its inhabitants live in constant fear. The main characters begin an endless search facing their own fears and unknown forces. What hooked me the most was the way the author describes each character and situation to perfection; it's as if you were living that story and felt everything the main characters feel. It's been a long time since I had this experience with a book.
It is an exciting read, highly recommended.

A book that will keep you hooked from beginning to end; it is full of mystery and intrigue, and will have a final outcome that will leave you speechless. I really liked the way of writing of this incredible author, it is the first book that I have had the opportunity to read, but I can already tell you that it has become one of my favorites.
The plot of the book is great and as I said at the beginning, you will not be able to stop reading it until you reach the end of the story. It's a super mysterious story of a huge animal attack and a man who wants to get to the bottom of it in order to put an end to it. Incredible characters, entertaining narrative and lots of intrigue.

The Wolves of Essex is an enthralling thriller that kept me reading for hours. The narrative is set in 1948 in the rural town of Essex, California. I have always been a fan of stories set in this period of time and area; I believe the setting to be perfect for suspense stories like this one. Moreover, the author did a wonderful job when describing the background, the vocabulary used helped me picture every scene perfectly in my mind. The pace of the plot and the development of events and characters went along pleasingly. I turned page after page, eager to know what was coming next. I had a great time with this novel. I will recommend it for sure.
