Even if I'm not 100 percent sure how much I buy into crystals in terms of the power of healing, I do think this book is a fantastic one. The pictures are gorgeous, and there's a ton of info packed into it. I especially loved the section that was a breakdown of each crystal (with its purposes and a little bit of history thrown in). It was also a nice touch to include different rituals (like for the solstices and equinoxes) and info about how to cleanse and clean your crystals. The focus on women's healing is also an original way to present these details in a manner that feels both relatable and accessible. Even if it doesn't heal me, I'm off to buy more crystals just in case!

Yes, I am the crunchy granola woman who believes in the power of crystals. I've always been interested in the various stones that come from the earth and their purpose. This book landed in my mailbox recently and I was excited to open it. Mariah Lyons has written this book as a beginner's guide for women (the gender term used by the author) who are interested in learning about how to use crystals in their lives. There are specific sections geared toward fertility, pregnancy, the feminine cycle, and different types of rituals. One tool I thought was handy was the glossary of the most popular or used crystals, photos, and interesting facts about each. *Free copy provided by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Some very interesting facts! The fact that we as humans have crystal structures within us was surprising to me! I liked that there was an explanation of crystal frequencies and the body’s electromagnetic field. The few pages on color in Chapter One were eye opening. I pretty much only wear black. The author’s statement that black “can create a grounding and protective feeling” truly resonates for me. The book does touch on crystal shapes, ways of cleansing & charging and other basic information. The pages on crystal gifts was very interesting! There are some great, easy to do rituals in Section II. I especially liked the detox bath ritual. All in all it’s a great book and I highly recommend.

Crystal Healing for Women: A Modern Guide to the Power of Crystals for Renewed Energy, Strength, and Wellness is a good book. This is because it gives readers much information in an understandable and enjoyable way. I like the part of the book in which different colors and healing is discussed. Also, I like the Chapter four discussion on the essential crystals that every women needs. I also like that the author showed how to use the crystals for many practical applications. I will probably be buying some crystals soon. Thanks Zeitgeist publishing for the free book.
