This book was a tie in with the 1979 film which starred pro basketball legend Julius Erving. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Meadowlark Lemon, Flip Wilson, Jonathan Winters, Stockard Channing, and Debbie Allen also appear in the movie. A fictional professional basketball team turns to astrology. They sign only players born under the sign of the pisces. It was a slightly humorous movie that loses all of its, admittedly, little charm in novel form.
