The honeymoon is over...

Even before it started. When a travel snafu cancels Everly Dupree's honeymoon plans, her friend Amethyst offers the perfect a beachfront rental in Oakville with friends, relaxation, and most importantly—no ghosts.

Everly should have known better. Two days into her "ghost-free" mini-honeymoon, the neighboring food truck festival is in chaos over a missing vendor, and not one but three persistent spirits have crashed her vacation. So much for peace and quiet.

When the missing woman's scarf turns up in the boat Everly and Drew have been using, what began as a simple getaway transforms into another supernatural investigation. With the local police eyeing the newlyweds suspiciously and a trio of demanding ghosts refusing to cross over, Everly's beach retreat has become anything but restful.

As the evidence mounts and dark secrets wash ashore, Everly realizes this coastal town harbors dangers as deep as the ocean itself. If she can't uncover the truth soon, her makeshift honeymoon might end with another murder—or worse, her own.

ReGina Welling prefers not to talk about herself in the third person so...

I live in Maine with my husband, a silly flufferpup named Dash, and a crazy cat named Cricket. I write full time and also create mixed media artwork when I get the chance.

When I was three, my mom brought home a new book and when she went to read it to me, I read it to her instead. That was when she realized I'd learned to read. Since then I couldn't even estimate the number of books I've read. It's a lot!

Honeymoons Are Not Always Perfectly Peaceful

Join Everly and Drew on their honeymoon where they make new friends and try not to see any ghosts or have to solve any mysteries. But if you know anything about Everly things don’t always go as she plans them, that would make for a boring mystery novel if they did, so get yourself a copy of this book and meet a food truck crew who are in the center of town for a competition and you know our couple love food and making friends. You will also see Everly and Drew make friends with the Psychic Seasons Crew, which makes a lot of sense since our favorite couple are honeymooning in Oakville where PSC operates. Something or someone is sabotaging the food trucks before the competition even starts, not only that but there is someone pickpocketing the crowds at the Foodtruck area, with all this going on do you think that Everly can stay away even when she has met some ghosts in town? Probably not but if you think I’m going to tell you everything that happens you are sadly mistaken, I recommend you get this book and read for yourself all the adventure our couple has, as I am known to say, you won’t regret it;)

“According to her [Kat], ghosts were made from the residual energy of souls caught on this side of the veil for one reason or another, while spirits were the souls of the dead who had crossed over.”

This was a good one, except I was lost a few times about who was who and where they came from. It was like two separate books slapped together. My personal opinion, of course. Maybe I’m just lame and the only person to think this.

I’m so glad there was no murder! I realize I read many many amateur sleuth books where about 99% of the time someone dies, but the 1% is what I look forward to every once in awhile. I like when there is just a mystery and no casualties. 👍🏼

There were a lot of ghost encounters which is something I always enjoy, especially when they’re friendly. And even cooler than that is when the ghosts can move… and hurl objects on our side of the veil. That’s what happened in this read.

The next book in this series isn’t available until March 2026, so until then I’ll be reading various other series. My next choice is…
“The Agony and the Hex-stasy” book 17 of A Supernatural Speakeasy Cozy Mystery series by Lily Harper Hart.

This series has great books filled with very interesting characters and very puzzling mysteries.

The 14th book in the Haunted Everly After series and it is a great addition. A snag put Everly and Drews honeymoon on hold. But Everly's friend Amethyst said they should come to Oakville and relax and hang out with the gang. Just a fun relaxing time with no ghosts or mysteries. But...the best laid plans... There is a lot of commotion in the food truck area and it appears one of the vendors is missing and three ghosts have shown up. I love the crossover with the Psychic Seasons Crew. Did they find the missing vendor? Why did the three ghosts turn up? This is a fun read that keeps you guessing. I not only highly recommend this book, but I also highly recommend the entire series. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Nice series with likable characters. This book really blended the characters in from another series by Welling (Psychic Seasons). If you haven't read those, you will be a bit confused as to the overlaps. It was a LOT of blending. Normal Everly characters - beyond Drew - are not part of this book. The mystery was good, and it was quite refreshing to have an investigation that didn't involve a murder. There are quite a few "ghost" encounters in book, which I enjoyed.

A perfect blend of supernatural elements and mystery, with enough puzzlement to keep you on your toes. I loved the characters (Effie!) and the crossover with the Psychic Seasons crew. Greatly entertaining!

A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author. All of the above opinions are my own.

Another ghostly story in the Haunted Everly After series by ReGina Welling & Erin Lynn.
While on their belated honeymoon Everly and Drew weren’t supposed to encounter any ghosts or mysteries according to Amethyst. No great surprise when both of those occurred.
As always fun and mayhem follow this couple wherever they go.

Honeymoon

Love this series, this one was a great one. No one died but we did get three elderly ghosts that were a hoot. Food trucks it seems are on every block, our city has the in our downtown area during the summer. Not sure if there is a competition, there might be need to look them up. On to the next adventure!😉💚💙

honeymoon hijinks

Romance, food truck competition, psychic friends, kidnapping, pickpockets, and ghosts. Everly doesn’t do simple or easy. Have loved this entire series, all of her friends, family and ghosts. Drew is almost too good to be true, he loves her and accepts her gift and the ghosts, etc. and he’s good looking to boot, wow!

A wedding honeymoon should, theoretically, be a relaxing, fun-filled event for the newly married couple.

Throw in some food trucks, a murder or two, a truck on fire, ghosts and a woman tied up and near death and the honeymoon is not exactly relaxing.

It's another really good mystery from the author, especially all the yummy things they have been eating!

I wasn’t as engaged in the plot in this installment as I have been in previous ones. Maybe it’s because I just missed Everly‘s friends, Jacy, Patrea, and Neena. And if you’re not familiar with their Psychic Seasons series, the new characters won’t mean as much to you.

Haunted honeymoon

I liked the pause in the traditional story line I agree Everly deserved a nice honeymoon. Especially like the new ghosts and abilities. Added bonus was The ghost who was translated up.

Love this series!!

A death-free honeymoon, but, plenty of suspense, a missing foodie contestant, and a pickpocket mystery.
Everly attracts the weirdest situations!
This series is easy to read, filled with great characters, and plenty of ghostly entertainment!

Loved

I loved the crossover. Especially the lack of a dead body. It's nice to still have a good mystery but not a death occasionally.

Another fun Everly mystery

I enjoyed the fact that there was not a murder. A missing person mystery works very well for me.
Another enjoyable read in this series.
