"Right around now, Takiishi and Endo should just be arriving at your school. It doesn't matter if Umemiya's your strongest, he'll be powerless if the both of them team up against him. And thus, that makes the end of Furin."
Hiragi's fight against Banjo comes to an end and it's a win for Furin, but one victorious battle does not equal a victorious war. Instead of things looking better now, everything gets complicated with the information about the enemy's true goal. The attention is suddenly shifted from the town to Bofurin - and it looks like our strongest player that's currently stuck at the school grounds, Hajime Umemiya, is in a great danger.
Ever since our fight with him, everything in my eyes looks entirely different now.
You have no idea how happy and relieved I felt after I saw both Sakura and Umemiya again! These two are with no doubt my favorite Wind Breaker characters, so my heart happily sang when they had shown up on the pages. Sakura's currently having a big transformation, awakening instincts that wasn't there before which is something that I was actually looking forward to see. Not just because he's the MC or just because he's one of my favorite characters, but also because we desperately need a power up for him. Endo is strong, much more stronger than I anticipated, actually, so we need a second strong person to counterattack him. There is clearly nobody else (except for Umemiya, who's up to fight against Takiishi) to do so, and we're desperate for a win. Their fight will start in the next volume. I am sure that it will be pretty intense and I'm very much looking forward to see it. Sakura for the win!!
P.S. Endo looks so much different when he gets serious. I had been so used to see him smile that I got shocked to see him letting go of it. Also, he's a bad guy, yes, but I have eyes and I can see that he's a handsome man, okay?

I want to acknowledge all of Shishitoren members for their impact on the battle against Endo's men, but I have to call their leader, Choji Tomiyama, the MVP of this volume. The little guy is simply unstoppable, clearly having the time of his life beating up guys left and right, with no difficulties whatsoever. I was laughing out loud while seeing the state of an absolute confusion (and horror, really) on all of the opponent's faces upon seeing Choji in action. I don't know if they had no idea what great kind of strength Choji posseses or if they were narcissistic enough to believe that they are the stronger side, but whatever the reason, it was still hilarious to see their asses being whooped.
The stronger the pain, the stronger the connection.
Hiragi's opponent, Banjo, is a great example of all people who are too confident in their abilities and too cocky for their own good. He had been obsessed with the idea of fighting, because he had been living with masochistic tendencies. He enjoyed beating people up. He had been caught in a web of his desire to share the feeling of pain with his opponents, feeling the pleasure of standing on the death's door, as long as he was winning in the end. He had been put straight by a wave of Hiragi's unstoppable fists, ending up as a crying mess fearing for his life. As much as I dislike cocky bad guys and as much as I like seeing their attitude crumbing under the opponent's pressure, I felt a deep sorrow for Banjo. He played the role of a bad guy, constantly hurting other people for his own pleasure, but on the end of the day he was still a kid. A kid who clearly didn't know any better and needed a lesson. What will he do now with his life is up to him now. I hope that he will be smarter from now on.

"But even more than that we love watching self-righteous idiots getting the wind knocked out of them!"
Shakushi and Tanemi are another great example of kids with cocky attitude who clearly didn't know any better. They were speaking highly about themselves, but were staying away from the fights, while playing a role of just observers, and spending their time by making fun of all the other fighters (especially on the enemy's side). But the moment they had to step in, they failed spectacularly. Their opponent was no other than Shishitoren's leader, so they definitely had been unlucky in this matter, but there was no other ending for them after they had so heavily underestimated Choji Tomiyama.
Overall I had so much fun while reading this volume and I'm so excited to read the next one, considering the fact that there are two most important fights left to see. Fingers crossed for Sakura's and Umemiya's victories! Before I will end my review though, I want to add a couple of things. I liked the little scene between Hiragi and Sako, it was so cute. The parallel between Sakura and Sugishita, both putting their trust on one another despite their differences, was amazing. I knew that Takiishi's gonna be an intimidating opponent, but I hadn't anticipated to have a flashback of good old Akashi from Kuroko no basket. Where were the scissors, huh? Also, Tsubakino fiercely believing that Sakura will come and save the day made me tear up. "Sakura... That uniform looks so good on you." 😭
Oh, right! I also have to mention the amazing metaphor of Sakura being pulled out of the water by the hands of his friends. It was such a short piece of the chapter, but also so very meaningful, speaking volumes about Sakura's feelings. I loved that a lot! Up to Vol. 18 now! ☺️

Realmente, en estos últimos volúmenes no hay demasiado a comentar. La mayoría de trama se basa en la pelea y solo me queda fangirlear, así que…
Me encanta la actitud de Tomiyama, es más mono y más enérgico 😭😭. Estoy muy contenta con que el Shishitoren se haya reformado de tan buena manera y que hayan acabado haciendo tanta alianza con Bofurin.
Luego, Sugishita confiando en Sakura para que se encargue de ir con Umemiya me ha encantado. Sé que ellos dos están “confrontados”, pero en el fondo parece que se llevan bien, solo que chocan en algunas cosas meramente triviales por diferencias en sus personalidades.
En cuanto a Endo, realmente me llama la atención su personaje. Muchísimo. Creo que en este manga ya es costumbre ir conociendo el pasado de cada personaje y sus razones para actuar así, de manera que espero que también podamos verlo con él!!

Stunned speechless. I am so so so angry, but what can you even do when you’re angry with fictional characters in a manga? 😭😔 BUT I’M STILL ANGRY
The scene where Sakura was mentally drowning but was then pulled back out by the thought of his friends hit so hard; I wanted to cry and rage. They sacrificed so much but these insane violence craved people just won’t leave them alone. I’m a little bit satisfied Sakura landed a knee kick to Endo’s annoying face but I’m scared with what’s going to come next…

I’m gonna go sob in a corner now 😭🔫 FUCK ME. That made me sick. You can’t fucking reminisce about how you originally didn’t trust or believe in Sakura and how you implicitly do so now…before telling him THOSE WORDS and then getting your shit WRECKED by Endo. I’m on the fucking floor 😩
If the rest of the volume had the same emotional charge as that last chapter, it would’ve been an easy 5🌟 because I love suffering. I’m a masochist at heart.
ANYWAY. Before I go off to rip out my hair, lemme talk about the rest of the volume.
Choji is my BELOVED SON. I wanna give him a big forehead kiss and hug him so hard he explodes 😭 He elicits in me the same feelings my kitties do…which is that I love them so much I wanna squish them until they become a part of me. He’s such a sweetie pie 💖🥺💖 He loves his friends so much. He truly out here being a lil destruction machine just to help protect Furin. Please, someone STAT, rate his fists a 10/10. He deserves it! I believe in you, baby! 💕
Finally, it was incredibly satisfying seeing Hiragi beat the living shit out of that other freak 😌 even more obsessed with the fact that he then tells him to only fight him and no one else. That lil freak finally felt some fear. What a relief 🙏🏻
Truly, these boys have a death grip on me…and I hope they never let go.
P.S. Everyone is always Chika this… Endo that… I couldn’t give less of a fuck about those two. I just want those pests to leave Furin alone.

Damn, seeing Nirei hurt really traumatized him, especially bec Nirei is his first ever friend. Go Sakura!!! You can do it!!! ENDO DESERVES TO BE BEATEN BEYOND RECOGNITION SO DO IT, SAKURA. Loved the Sakura blossoms. He’s finally blooming. And the fact that he's doing this to protect the place his friends cherish and love, brought a tear to my eyes. I hope he realises that he's not just acknowledged but he also now belongs to this place as well
There's not a bad chapter in this manga every chapter is better than the last one. I'm looking forward for the anime to see all thoses fighting and characters moving.

Un tome intense en combat ! Un peu moins d'émotion que les précédents tome mais la fin nous tiens en haleine ! Le combat entre Endo et Sakura tant attendu arrive.
J'ai beaucoup aimé la confiance que Sugishita accorde à Sakura quand on sais ce qui lui tiens a coeur laisser Sakura gérer j'ai trouvé ça magnifique.
Le prochaine tome s'annonce riche en émotion et promet de nous laisse en haleine 😦

August 28, 2025It’s classic shonen action, where the good guys get beat down but somehow keep getting up, leveling up, and fighting until they win. The Noroshi group is freakishly powerful and twisted - it’s a little annoying to have such strong fighters be easily taken down by Endo, though in their defense he’s completely fresh and they’ve all been battling hard for quite awhile.
These boys are not right in the head. IMO they will keep coming back until they’re dead.

OTRA VEZ ACABANDO EN CLIFFHANGER NOOOO.
Los que más han destacado en este volumen justo han sido mis 3 favoritos: Endo, Sakura y Tomiyama. Me encanta ver pelear a Tomiyama btw.

Los que más han destacado en este volumen justo han sido mis 3 favoritos: Endo, Sakura y Tomiyama. Me encanta ver pelear a Tomiyama btw.

A bit of eh, a bit of okay. That's pretty much how I feel about this volume. It's a lot of running around, and yelling at each other. It triggers the part of my brain that just want to get on with it, that if very prevalent when I read manga with a lot of fight scenes/battles. I know we need to get the right characters from A to B, but it gets drawn out so much that I start to get bored.

If you love action this is the manga! It gives the reader backstory on some plots and gives depth to a majority of the characters! I read the latest chapter frequently because I have a personal favorite character OAT. Still waiting on his backstory!!
