I loved how these short stories used NZ history and mythology as their setup. Unfortunately, I didn't love the action parts of the stories, which were the main focus - and I don't usually love short stories anyway. I think the short story format meant there wasn't as much depth and complexity as the main series, which these stories continue. It was nice to see the characters again though :)
