Nyx Ashborne is a journalist in her small town. Calix Waters is the mysterious new stranger. When several murders begin to shake a small town in Colorado, Nyx takes it as a chance to prove her worth to the small town paper, following each case as they happen. However, someone is following her in return. And he won’t stop until she is his.
i just wish it was longer !! ugh i immediately fell in love with calix and nyx 🥹
this is short dark romance, stalker, serial killer, has a list of corrupted politicians and men who abused women, golden retriever mmc only for her, journalist fmc, duo pov 🖤
I'm new to Desi Morgue, and I instantly was able to jump into this book and enjoyed reading it.
It's a shorter book than I'm used to reading, and I felt we jumped through the storyline. I found it weird of how accepting Nyx was instantly of Calix Killing people (whether they deserved it or not) and practically moving in and being fine with it also.
That being said, I did fall in love with Calix. His humour and protectiveness of Nyx was 🥵
Their love scenes were hot hot hot!!!
I would have given it 5 stars, but i felt there could have been more.
Omfg! Desi is out here constantly killing me with her Main characters. The inner thoughts in all threes POV is just 🙊 everything. Getting a bit of Christopher and Salem Morgan is everything I'm still obsessed with Christopher. But Nyx, Calix and Draven 🥵 I don't know how you do it every time. I know you've just released this one but when do I get more from you 👀
The storyline:-perfect The characters:- chef's kiss😘😘 The plot:- totally didn't expect My emotions I'm crying.. its really a sweet story and I didnt expect to have such an effect on me.. inreally loved it soo much, this was really short and emotionally good Novella
I enjoyed the story line & concept… serial killer taking out rapists who got off Scott free, and he stalks her & protects her? We love this trope…
The writing was a little disjointed… there were some inconsistent time jumps that made me question how much time had passed minutes/days/months?! And some abrupt scene endings that the next paragraph was a whole different time/location/scene… I think some additional words to make more of a smooth transition or some more descriptors would make this a 5⭐️ book for me.
🌶️/5 Minimal… a single MFM moment…
Spoiler rant! How dare you tease me with an MFM relationship, then kill off Draven?!?! That man did not deserve to die, they could have made shit work! I’m mad/sad about that shit!
I really enjoyed this. It was short and sweet and with very likable characters. The plot was good. The only thing for me is I would have liked it to have been longer as I feel to get as much timeline in as the author managed it was very fast paced. That said in looking forward to reading more.
It’s was great short read for the weekend, for some reason I didn’t past the similarities to a popular book. And it jumped around bit more then others I read from her so i had to reread some parts to actually understand the story.
I love your short and fun stories, this one is no different. I didn't even know it connected to Chris and Salem's story beforehand. Draven though? I'm heartbroken.
