I knew when the POV character said that on the first page that this would be a hilarious story! Bravo, D.L. Guidroz! Your extreme horror Halloween story made me feel all the Halloween feels! You're an awesome writer, and this story was so much fun! 🎃

Trent is an absolute butthole. He's looking for a lay on Halloween night after committing some nasty acts 🤢 AND I MEAN NASSTTTYYYY.
After getting rejected things take an odd turn. This little short story was nasty and so much fun and that ending was wild! Definitely something to pick up this October!

Trent's a working guy who just needs to get laid. But the women of this town according to him are stuck up. Tonight's Halloween and he's heading down to the bar on a mission! He won't come home empty handed!
Causing mischief along the way, he finally makes it to the bar. He wastes no time in trying to hook up with someone but his game isn't working. No woman wants him and instead, they're laughing at his pathetic attempt to sleep with someone. He notices the grim reaper in the corner of the bar has been watching him all night. He offers Trent a pumpkin shaped pill to help him out.
"If you can't find a girl, you can always fuck pumpkins", were the final words the grim reaper told Trent. He thought that was ridiculous, until the drugs kicked in of coarse
This was short and hilarious! Trent is an asshole. The way he talks to women makes you wanna slap him but he definitely got what he deserved. I loved this twist and I'm tainted by some of the things he did to candy! In such a short book, this was hilarious, made you feel angry at times, and had great blood and gore towards the end. If you're looking for a quick Halloween read, I suggest you pick up Pumpkin Spice!

5/5 stars. I loved Pumpkin Spice! Trent's crazy antics had me laughing out loud - multiple times! Trent's sexist remarks made me cringe, but karma caught up with him. The story takes a dark turn when Trent meets the Grim Reaper and tries a mysterious pumpkin pill. Let's just say, things go terribly wrong - and I giggled throughout, even at the gross parts (Tootsie Rolls will never be the same... GROSS, LMAO!). If you want a fun, thrilling Halloween read, Pumpkin Spice is the perfect novella.

Pumpkin spice was a quick and gross read , it was funny and gory which made it even better! I did not see the ending coming and it was a fun read I ended up devouring I love getting to read this and can’t wait to see what D.L. Gudroiz writes next.

Super short, super nasty little read that had an unexpected twist at the end! I wouldn't call it extreme, personally? Just gross in parts. But clearly I'm a little twisted as I spent a good portion of the book gleefully laughing because I knew something deserving was going to happen. I was right 😂

Pumpkin spice! Oh my gosh, this read is SO much fun. Really fun idea too. It’s a trip for sure. Honestly, I heard there was urinating on Halloween candy.. And there really was! Haha. I liked that the last chapter was so fitting, but I definitely wasn’t expecting it. Excellent short read for spooky season!

Disgusting quick read. Jerk deserved what he got exactly what he deserved. I probably won't look at pumpkins the same now. This is a gross little story about a narcissist not getting what he wants but ultimately what he deserves. Dont eat open halloween candy.

In his solo debut, D.L. Guidroz packs a pumpkin (I mean punch) in an extremely short horror read. Coming in at 31 pages, you will exhale with frustration at the end. Told from the first person point of view, a man goes out to the bar for the night on Halloween (I don't believe his name was ever given - if so, I apologize, I was too drawn in). On his way to the bar, he decides to ensure some Halloween tricks are provided. Gross tricks. Not the trick or treat, smell my feet cutesy kind. More like the "let me pee in this candy bowl on the porch" kind.
Once he gets to the bar he's an epic fail with the ladies. Good call ladies, he just peed in a kids candy bowl. Good call. While down and out a guy in a hoodie provides him with a drug called Pumpkin Spice and tells him to go to a pumpkin patch and have sex with a pumpkin (and you guys thought our pumpkin spice lattes were crazy - the worse we do is go SHOPPING). Guess what? He goes to a pumpkin patch and does just that, in explicit detail, but then! Plot twist! Here comes the The Reaper and he has been chosen for the Pumpkin King and it's all because earlier in the day he hated cookies.

32 pages of pure f*ckery and I loved every minute of it! A very cocky and conceited gym rat is on the prowl for a woman to blow his load into. Along the way he decides to ruin Halloween for some unlucky kids who will approach this particular candy bowl he’s tampered with. 😬🫣

This book is gross and a super fast Halloween read. Please beware before picking up and reading this book that this is not for the faint of heart.
Trent is super gross and overall rude, not a great person. Trent goes out on his day off which happens to be the day of Halloween. He is looking to get laid and have a good time. But things don't turn out that way. He goes out getting rejected by everyone for the way he looks. He then comes to face with a choice causing him to experience pumpkin spice. IFYKYK. After taking the spice and then experiencing this burst of energy the feeling of his emotions have heightened. Leaving him lonely. He then wanders onto the wrong property getting caught doing the deed. but with who??? You will have to read to find out.

This was a short and sweet little thing!

A dealer offers him a special pill to help him on his mission and gives him a piece of advice “you could always fuck the pumpkins” in which Trent gives it Bobby big bollocks like noooo I don’t need a pumpkin. But he does. And he does try it until the drugs kick in and he gets an almighty surprise. I loved this! It was funny it was gross and I thoroughly enjoyed! Perfect for Halloween time 😂

Trent is just a guy looking to get laid. He’s not a great guy and while prowling around a bar he doesn’t have luck. He calls all the girls stuck up. When a strange man offers him something along with some advice on where to find some “action” and you will never guess where it goes from there. No spoilers here so you will have to read it yourself.

This short read was such a trip. I always love a story where a terrible character gets what they deserve, and this absolutely delivered. Trent was created to be hated, and the way he was written definitely fulfilled the desired effect. The shock horror was nasty, creative, and original, and the ending was a great twist. If you enjoy extreme horror, this is a perfect Halloween themed read for your spooky TBR!

This was a hilarious quick little read! I absolutely loved the instant Karma our douchbag of a MMC gets! The way this man has the audacity to talk to women is baffling. He’s a straight up asshole. He got what he deserved. This book had a touch off “eww what the fuck” with some awesome gore and twists in the end! Absolute perfection for a spooky Halloween read!!

This was a quick, and hilarious read. D.L. had me absolutely hating the main character on the first page and it was wonderful seeing his karma unfold in the book. I really enjoyed the story, this would be an excellent read for Halloween. I definitely don't think I'll be looking at tootsie rolls or pumpkins quite the same after reading this one. For a super short story I love it!.. I didn’t expect the ending at all. This was so funny and just soooo gross too haha. D.L done exactly what he said he would when I got to read this and boy am I excited for what he slings my way next. This was so much fun. This read is short and packs a punch! The story line is concise and follows a creative plot from the perspective of a detestable main character. I applaud the author’s ability to construct such an insane turn of events and evoke so much extreme emotion from me as a reader. Especially given this work’s length. Very impressed!

If you put goosebumps and extreme horror together this is what you’d get! This was a fun read that had me feeling grossed out at the same time. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see what D.L Gudroiz comes up with next

WTF did I just read?
It's as though Sam from trick r' treat grew up and is now a devious king having others do his bidding. A depraved sexually explicit pumpkin nightmare. It was gross and funny and I'm mortified but glad I read it. It's a Halloween I'll never forget.

I absolutely hated the main character of this story. Glad he’s a fictional character and hope I never meet anyone in real life like him. But, the story has fun spooky vibes, a good ending, and a great message. The Reaper is the best character.
