Brooke!!!! Oh my goodness, I saw one of my friends reposted the book saw the tropes and knew I would devour this book and devour I did, I could not put this book down, I loved every second of it, had me scared a bit during it, but boy did you deliver!!! Ash, my man you are perfection, we love a man who will make sure no one hurts his girl and will burn the world for her. Sky, oh my goodness I wanted to hug her so bad and just hide her away. I loved them so much and I can't wait to see what else you have in store for us!! I need more books!!

Amazing!!

I completely DEVOURED this book in 24 hours. It made me laugh, it made me angry and it made me cry like a baby. Not to mention it also made me want to have an Ash of my own. I recommend this book for ANYONE that loves that dark spicy stalker romance. 🖤🖤

Wow

This is the first book I have read from this author and this genre.

All I can say is damn this is good. There were unexpected twists and I wasn't expecting that ending.

I finished this book in 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down. It’s such a good killer/stalker romance. I loved Ash’s character and his back story on how he became a killer and why he is how he is and why he attached himself to Sky. I also love at the end of the book that Sky didn’t necessarily agree with Ash killing but she found a way to love him still and help him find people that were worth killing so he wasn’t just killing random people.

I read this in one sitting… PLEASE GIVE US MORE. The amount of depth that was put into these characters in the amount of pages we had to learn about them is astounding. I felt like i could picture everything in this book right in front of me. Such an easy read but could tell this book was straight from the authors soul. If you read dark romance “for the vibes,” Ashes to Ashes is an absolute hoot. It’s unapologetic and entertaining, with dual POV narrators who are easy to slip into—both in energy and headspace. The visuals are grounded in reality, making the scenes vivid and engaging. Some parts are seriously dark as heck! The authors note and dedication alone made me roll around cackling.

However, if you’re a more technically focused reader, you might find certain aspects distracting. This book could benefit from a strong editor to tighten up the pacing, fix typos, address some defiance of physics, and reduce redundancy. For example, I didn’t need to hear the male lead’s (nearly) verbatim thoughts about the female lead two chapters after reading them the first time.

Despite these technical hiccups, I genuinely appreciate how this book made me feel—and not just the basic happy/sad emotions. Ashes to Ashes stirred up fear, anticipation, concern, disdain, confusion… a whole gambit of emotions that I don’t normally experience as an over-dopamined individual constantly seeking the next shocking read.

Bottom Line:

If you’re looking for a book that delivers on vibe and emotion, and you’re willing to overlook some technical imperfections, Ashes to Ashes is worth the read. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited, so if you’re curious, it won’t cost you more than a click to check it out.

My thoughts: Wow! This book has left me absolutely speechless - and brings a whole new meaning to the “touch her and die” trope, rather “look in her direction for more than a milli-second and die”🤣

Ash is possessive and obsessive, introduced first as an unhinged stalker, from the very first chapter we begin to question Ash’s character - and while he retains his stalkerish and unhinged behaviours throughout the novel, we become aware of his backstory and somehow we grow to love him, regardless of his murderous and torturous tendencies.

Ashes to Ashes is told as a dual POV novel, and both Ash and Sky provide great narratives. There is incredible sexual tension, vivid and erotic imagery as well as a brilliant ending - one which readers are not likely to expect. Not to mention the inclusion of masked men and biker men scenes as well 🔥

This is a book that was incredibly difficult to put down and I couldn’t wait to continue reading and finding out what happened next and who else would come victim to Ash’s warped mind.

I am so glad I came across this novel and I would be excited to read any further novels by Brooke!

When the author said this was a dark romance they weren't kidding, this is definitely the darkest romance book I've read so far (although admittedly, I'm new to reading this genre). I strongly recommend checking out the trigger warnings for the sake of your mental wellbeing before diving in.

It's a fast-paced story of a stalker and the lover he'll kill for, with some twists and turns that make it difficult to put down. If you don't mind reading about some graphic violence and spice, then you will probably enjoy this book ☺️

I'm very glad I managed to get this book read before my Kindle Unlimited subscription expired, and I'll definitely be keeping my eyes open for future books from Brooke.

I need an Ash.
This book is a stalker, dark romance. I love a stalker romance, but Ash takes it in a new way. Most stalker romances I have read turn a new leaf. Not Ash, and I love it. There are some lovely plot points and hot, sexy scenes. Im glad I gave this book a chance and hope to see more from this author!

For a debut novel, it was amazing! I’ve had this on my TBR for a while now and so glad I finally decided to read it! You get dark romance, thriller, mystery, all in one. I can not wait to read other books Brooke comes out with. You can tell she poured her heart and soul into this book, and I hope it healed her in the ways she needed.

Intricately Intrigued

Well, well, well if you want a deep dark dive into an erotic thriller, full of dark twists & erratic turns this is your book. Full of triggers, and over the threshold of unspeakable truths. Have to admit Pg 200-203 had me totally wrecked, not a lot of books get me there deeply but this had me all in my emotions. As a reader, I felt like at times, I was watching a thriller movie from a 1st pov come alive from the script. (No spoilers) but if you’re looking for a lip biting, trigger filled, no holds bared, blushing, angsty and Omgoodness moments this books for you!

This book was good! I picked it up after finding the author on threads. This book is dark, please check triggers. You can tell the author put her soul into writing this. I can not wait to read more! Also the Russian roulette scene? Wild
