If you love second chance romance you will LOVE this one!!
It has all the feels and steam you can handle!! The perfect quick read that will leave you wanting more. Nix and Hattie are perfect together with chemistry in spades. I just didn't want it to end.

Nunca pensé que volver a casa para Navidad significaría encontrarme con ella , Hattie Anderson. La que se escapó, la que amé y perdí, y la que parece que no puedo olvidar sin importar cuánto lo intente. Ojos que no ven, corazón que no siente nunca funcionó cuando se trataba de ella, ahora estábamos bajo el mismo techo y no podía evitarla ni aunque lo intentara.

La pasión incontrolable, el desamor devastador, todo se sentía como si hubiera sucedido hace un día. Juntos, éramos un desastre. Separados, estábamos perdidos. Pero ahora, el universo, o mi madre entrometida, nos ha vuelto a juntar. Ella huele a vainilla y parece pecado, y estoy caminando por una línea peligrosa entre mantener mi distancia y querer acercarla.
¿Podremos sobrevivir a las vacaciones sin destrozarnos el uno al otro? Filthy es un romance apasionante de segunda oportunidad lleno de calor, corazón y magia navideña.

Mi humilde opinión:

Romance navideño con segunda oportunidad, amigos de la infancia a amantes, proximidad forzada, pueblo pequeño.

Esta fue una historia de amor con drama y algunos momentos picantes. Me desgarraba que Nix y Hattie no estuvieran juntos, se notaba que a pesar de la separación el amor que se tenían estaba mas fuerte que nunca pero tristemente nunca encontraron la forma de hacerlo funcionar en el pasado por las inseguridades de ella. También pienso que él tuvo culpa al trabajar tantas horas en la tienda de tatuajes, me puedo imaginar que ella se sintiera sola o pensara cualquier cosa y que todo junto llevara a continuas peleas. Dos años después, la reunión navideña en la casa de los Stratford les hará ver que no lucharon lo suficiente por el otro y que esta vez es posible su final feliz.

Me gustaba Nix, este hombre tatuado tan protector y romántico, si romántico, cumplirle el sueño a Hattie de tener su propio negocio aun si solo quedaran como amigos, me derritió. Pero hombre, llamar “Babe” a tu compañera de trabajo por teléfono cuando no es tu novia no estuvo bueno así que entendí que Hattie lo malinterpretara. Por otro lado Hattie me caía bien pero me frustraba que no viera que Nix nunca la engañaría con otra mujer. Le tomó mucho tiempo darse cuenta o pensar en buscar ayuda mucho antes por sus problemas que venían a raíz de que su padre le fue infiel a su madre. Esto le causo un trauma de joven y problemas de confianza. Nix tuvo que mencionarle que buscarían ayuda si ella o él volvían a arruinar de nueva su relación.

Disfrute este romance, el sentido de la familia en navidad, los personajes reales con problemas reales y un final conmovedor. Sin embargo, me hubiera gustado que fuera más largo para conocer cómo comenzó todo con los protagonistas.

Exes Hattie and Nix reconnect on Christmas Eve when Nix’s mom invites Hattie to stay at their family home and spend the holiday, Hattie and Nix give into their connection and ultimately get a second chance at love.

Filthy is a short Christmas novella that is pretty much spice with a dash of plot. ☺️

I enjoyed the childhood friends to high school sweethearts storyline and the romantic in me aww’ed at all the sweet parts. I like a good second chance romance and Nikki Rome delivered in this quick read.

This novella is perfect for anyone looking for a quick read that can add to the holiday spirit.

So far I have loved every book I have read by Nikki Rome and I highly recommend her books, so even if you don’t read Filthy, which I really think you should, definitely go try one of her other books.

Filthy is a short and steamy Christmas novella about two exes, Hattie and Nix, who reconnect on Christmas Eve. Nix's mom invites Hattie to join their family for the holiday, and the old spark between them reignites.
This novella is mostly about the chemistry between Hattie and Nix, with a little bit of plot mixed in. It’s a quick and spicy read that’s perfect for the holidays!

I enjoyed the story of childhood friends who became high school sweethearts. If you like second-chance romance, this is a fun one to pick up especially if you want to get warm feelings (wink, wink) during the Holidays.

But their relationship became toxic as they were always fighting and they decided to go their separate ways. So what happens when Nix’ mom invites Hattie to spend the holidays with her and the family and she won’t take no for an answer? Sparks flying between Nix and Hattie is what happens.
This was a super quick read. It was good and like all of Nikki’s novellas she makes me want more.

Okay this story is 54 pages. You do not read a story like this for the plot you read it for other reasons. I did love the story and would love to read more about their story......... It was a nice pallet cleanser when reading heavy books all the time. I also love a good parent set up like who doesnt love a mother who secretly (okay not to secretly) is tring to get her son to get back together with he ex he never forgot about.

Second Chance Heat

Rekindling a relationship between Nix and Hattie requires some assistance and a little bit of holiday magic. This short story was sweet and emotional with some added steam. The chemistry between these two was explosive from the start which really heated up the pages when they reconnected. I could not get enough of this entertaining read.

Nix and Hattie get a second chance in this short holiday read. It has a nice forced proximity setting when they are forced to stay together by his meddling mother. They need to get past the heartbreak from before but Nix has never been able to get over Hattie.
