This is a wonderful little story. The rhyming song (sheet music included in the inside front and back covers!) is short and sweet and simple; it’s about a young boy and how his teddy bear does everything throughout the day that he does. Young children will certainly identify with this relationship.
The illustrations are soft and lovely. They show the boy and his teddy bear doing many activities.
The story ends with the boy and his bear in bed for the night, so if the song is as comforting as the rhyme suggests, this would make an ideal bedtime story and song. Unfortunately, I can’t read music. Ideally, I suspect, this book should be sung aloud.
Simple, sweet tale, that fills you with tenderness. Has the common hiccup of having all male characters (even the snowman), but makes up for it by having an African American boy as the protagonist (or is the bear the protagonist??).
This is a sweet book about a little boy and his bear. They do everything together and you can see how much the boy loves it. The narrative is simple and rhyming, and perfect for reading at bedtime.
