Marauders #2

Perfect Collision

Rate this book
Brian 'Bear' Warren, the Vice President of the Marauder Riders MC, is a typical biker. He likes beer, women, and bikes. His only soft spot is his youngest daughter, Violet.

She's a shy, careful, and insecure girl, who generally did her very best to be noticed as little as possible. Bear always did his best to protect her, especially from her own mom, but did an almost too good job at it. Because by the time she turns eighteen, she's still a shy, careful, insecure, and slightly naïve girl. No one could've guessed she'd grown up in a biker club.

He knew Vi'd had a crush on Mac Baxter since her early teens, but around her eighteenth birthday, Mac starts to take notice of Vi as well. As far as Bear was concerned, Mac might be good guy, a fellow member of the Marauder Riders MC, his best friend's son, and someone Bear'd known since the day he was born—but he still didn't like the thought of his Vi with a six years older biker. Not at all. At the same time, he knew he had to accept that his daughter was growing up. In the choice between Vi with Mac, or Vi with some other guy, Mac might be the better option.

There wasn't much Violet Warren considered easy in life.

Even just talking to people was a challenge, because she tended to stutter and blush whenever she opened her mouth. On the other hand, she didn't like all that many people. Her dad was one of few people she loved, simply because he understood her. Or at least tried to understand her, as opposed to her mom.

Then there was Mac... She couldn't really say she knew Mac, but he'd been around her entire life, since he was the son of the club’s President. She liked him. He was the one who suggested she could become a tattoo artist, an idea she loved, since drawing was one of few things she considered herself good at. Her dad helped her to get a spot as an apprentice at Wicked Ink. That's when things started to look up, and she owed it to Mac. She wasn't sure how to thank him properly until he asked her to do a tattoo on him. It sort of went downhill from there.

Marcus 'Mac' Baxter couldn't really say he knew Vi.

She was just the tiny, shy girl who'd always had a sketchbook in her lap. He knew she'd been crushing on him when she was a kid, but he'd never thought much about it. She was simply one of the younger club kids, and not one of those you took notice of. When he decided to become a Marauder, he left Greenville, Arizona, to join the Emporia, Kansas charter instead. He wanted to make a name for himself and not just be 'Brick's son.' A few years later he transferred back, and realized Vi had grown up while he was away.

But you didn’t take advantage of a girl who’d been crushing on you for years, a girl who was the daughter of a fellow member. You just didn’t.

And you definitely didn’t kiss her. That was insane...

But that’s what he did.

Please note: though Perfect Collision occurs in the same world as Arrow of Time, this story is a standalone. Warning: explicit sex, not for younger readers.

Overall Opinion: This was okay. I was liking it fine until they officially were together, then it felt like someone slammed on the breaks. I became a little bored and no longer fully engaged in the story. I thought it was kind of weird we had so much focus on Violet’s Dad, and the different POV styles was a little weird too. While I understood that she was growing into her own person and it was important, I think the tattooing talk became a little too much.

I also felt like the execution of the story wasn’t the same after about midway point. I’m hardly ever one to point out editing issues (because I don’t claim to be an editor or anything), but I’m going to here because it really bothered me 🙁

At 51% this happens:
“Probably because I’m crazy in love with you.”
She smiled at him and put her arms around him. “You are?”
He cradled her face. “Very much.”
She looked a little too amazed. “What? Thought I did this for just any girl?”
“No, but I like hearing you say it out loud.” She stroked her thumb along the bridge of his nose. “I’m in love with you, too.”

Then at 55% this happens:
“He loved those shy smiles, and then he just blurted it out. “I love you.” She sat still next to him and then slowly turned her head to stare at him. He'd never seen her eyes as big as they were just then.
“You’ve never said that.”
“Yeah...” He had no fucking idea why that fell out of his mouth just then. It was something he'd realized a while ago, but to blurt it while they were on a kitchen floor, practically mid-fight, that was a bit much. “I probably should’ve picked a better time for it.”

I know I’m probably stupid, but this threw me majorly off! Which was it?! To me, that first interaction was him professing his love, but then it’s a big deal that “he’s never said it before”?? Weird. And that wasn’t it. It seemed like after all this all of the spelling and general editing errors were blatantly obvious to me. I am fully aware that this could just be part of my crazy, but just thought I’d put it out there.

So...I wanted to like this but sadly it ended up just kind of...meh 🤷🏻‍♀️

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Violet and Mac’s story. They’ve known each other all of their lives as Violet’s Dad is VP and Mac’s Dad is President of the mc. Even though he is 6 years older, Violet had a strong crush on Mac. It isn’t until she starts getting older that he starts seeing her differently and develops a crush of his own. Years pass, and things finally come to a head when Mac crosses the line and kisses her. There is some personal development going on for Violet, some sexy times, and some mc drama...and they get a HEA ending.

POV: This alternated between Violet’s POV in 1st person to 3rd person narrative focusing on Mac and Bear (Violet’s Dad).

Overall Pace of Story: Ok. It flowed well until they got together officially, but then it felt like it slowed down.

Instalove: No, but some feelings were already developed when the story began.

H rating: 4 stars. Mac. I liked him. I liked how he was loyal to the h and cared for her the way she was.

h rating: 4 stars. Violet. I liked her. I felt bad for her relationship with her mom, but I appreciated how she sought out her own happiness.

Sadness level: Low, no tissues needed

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Good. They have some good tension, chemistry, and scenes -- but not so much it takes away from the story.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Yes

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes physically, but not in the usual way.

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had pretty good closure with a HEA ending.

How I got it: It was part of my kindle unlimited subscription.

Safety: This one should be either Safe with exception or Not Safe for most safety gang readers depending on personal preferences.

Perfect Collision gave me everything I wanted, expected, and so much more. It's more New Adult MC romance than any MC I've read and I was still completely engrossed in the book. Mac and Violet are a match made in MC heaven and the journey through their exploration of each other together was perfect. Lina Anderson really managed to capture the essence of MC culture while wrapping it in a very innocently beautiful love story. She wrote a sort of coming of age story for this heroine, a girl coming out of her shell as she turns into a woman. And a woman she is, getting stronger with every new challenge. Mac is exactly the kind of man she needs. It's amazing how FCP authors really get to the fundamental character traits of the people they create then pair them up with the perfect partner. These two shine with each other. Plus all my favorite Marauders were back in big ways still being hilariously honest outlaws. These are real people who give as good as they get and I love reading about their club. I love the writing style of this author and look forward to more Marauders books!

i liked this one a lot better than the first book. i had trouble with book #1's heroine and that wasn't the case here. this series and author has really found her stride here, it actually reminds me of susan fanetti's work. very mature read, story and character story lines while remaining funny, sexy and quite suspensful. vi and mac were fantastic main charcaters and i was cheering for them from the start. love the close mc family vibe. definitely a great book. easy read as a standalone too.

Not a typical biker story!

Not a typical biker story!

As I'm not particularly fond of tattoos, violence, and all the usual MC stuff, I do love to read about it. This book, however, is not typical edgy, gritty biker. I especially love the bossy, possessive men portrayed in them. This book was not that. I still loved it! It was a sweet story of young love. Mac and Vi had secret crushes on each other. So cute. He was older and experienced and she was young and timid. He showed her the ropes. Very sweet! Just read the first Marauders and loved it as well. Couldn't wait for this one. Can't wait for the next. I hope its Mitch next time. Would love to go back and read Brick and Mel's story too. This author did a fantastic job developing each character. It's sometimes confusing differentiating between characters when so many are introduced like other club members. It makes me think that each one would make an interesting story. Fantastic (sweet) MC book!!!

Violet Warren was a daddy's girl thru and thru. Brian "Bear" Warren, Marauders VP, understands his daughter like no one else, even her mother. Bear has been struggling with his wife and the way she treats Vi and it is quickly coming to a head. With Vi quickly approaching eighteen she has no clue where she plans to go, she knows college is not in the plan. The only thing she loves is her art work, it's her carefully guarded passion though and only shows her father.

From afar Vi had a huge crush growing up on Mac, who is a member of the Marauders growing up. Of course it was quickly stifled when he noticed. Vi has always been the shy awkward girl who hides in the shadows of the club going unnoticed. Now she is a young woman and Mac is struggling because she is about to turn eighteen and he is definitely noticing her.

Mac is trying to navigate through his feelings for Vi but whatever he decides will have to be discussed with her father first. You don't cross a boundary with a brother ever.

Excellent read. Mac is initially worried that Vi is too young, he is six years older. However, Vi is an old soul and has a way of looking at things from a completely different perspective. I liked that this was not instant, they grew together. Vi was an inspiring heroine and loved her dad Bear, he was so proud of his girl and shed a few tears along the way.

Sweet, sexy romance between shy, awkward Vi (Bear's daughter) and Mac (Brick's son). Vi has crushed on Mac for years but suffers from low self esteem and is painfully shy, she has always faded into the background within the club life but after a rash decision to change her hair makes Mac notice the quiet girl in the corner. Like the first book there is a build up to romance, but it is believable and perfectly paced. There is a 6 year age difference which makes Mac uncomfortably because in the beginning Vi is only 17. However Mac realises that although she is inexperienced, he doesn't want her to gain experience with another guy. This is where Mac shines, he is patient, understanding and a very generous lover :) Vi has issues which makes it hard to warm up to her but she matures throughout the book, (over 2 year time frame) and you learn to like and admire her personal achievements. Bear features heavily in this book, he is a rough and ready biker through and through, he is a great dad and I loved that he got his HEA. I hope Mitch gets a book, he reminds me of Dawg and it would be fun to see him fall.
This writing was again great (few typos) and a very easy book to read. It is a good length and flows nicely. It isn't full of action, it is definitely more relationship focused but I enjoy that. Hope there is more to come.

I'm a little on the fence about how to rate this one. It wasn't what I expected. Low on grit and action but big on sweet, Perfect Collision was essentialy a new adult romance with a backdrop of a MC. Solid writing and a well developed, slower paced story. I kept waiting for something major to happen, a kidnapping, an explosion, an alpha biker temper tantrum...but nothing. Still, I enjoyed the characters, liked them together, and was happy to see Violet grow into her own. The relationship between Bear and Violet was so sweet, I loved that he was her biggest fan. I also liked revisiting the other characters of the MC.

After reading Arrow of Time and now Perfect Collision, I am most definitely a fan of the Marauder Motorcycle Club. I'm not sure who the next book will focus on but it doesn't really matter, it will be at the top of my TBR list.

Note: At the time of this review, Perfect Collision was available to borrow for free as part of the Amazon Prime lending program.

I started this book awhile ago but couldn't get into it so put it on hold, however, recently after seeing a fellow goodreaders review remembered I hadn't finished it so decided to pick it up again. I'm glad I decided too.

Oddly enough I was more interested in the relationship between the heroine Violet (Vi) and her father Bear.. they just seem to be such an easy going loving relationship. Loved their banter, awkward and all!

The heroine has ADD (non hyperactive) and she has dyslexia it was great to see how Mac the Hero and her father handled her. Didn't push her too much but encouraged her. Sometimes she did come off as very young (almost 14-15), but it wasn't a major issue.

Also, the mentioning of the age difference between Mac and Vi was a tad annoying, that was one of the reasons Mac stayed away from her at the start. They only have a 6 year age difference, which to me didn't seem like a lot but I guess when she's 17 it might matter.

Overall, it was a great read.

Don't judge this story by its cover. Reread this story and still enjoyed it.

I liked the build-up between H and h, although H did struggle with h's youth at first, after he overcame it, it was hot to read their interactions. H was a sweetheart that he always treated h patiently.

I liked how h pursued her dream, that is, became a tattoo artist , and her relationship with her father was interesting. They had some weird moments, but they were also made you laugh.

As one of my Goodreads friend said, maybe you'd get bored by first several pages, but once you got over it, this story was really good. Recommend to those who love to read a good MC story with a shy h pursued her dream and a sweet H.

I really did not want to read this book. I'm old enough that YA/NA just doesn't do it for me. So I thought, no I'm not going to read about a 17 year old girl and a early 20 something smexing and falling in love. Then I read the reviews and then a friend loans me the book. When I was 10% into it, I could not put it down. Since I was a real Daddy's girl, I can so relate to Violet and Bear. There is nothing more beautiful than a father who loves his daughter and would give up his own life for that child. It was about a father/daughter love, about a father's acceptance and 100% support of a child with disabilities and for whom things don't come easy. It's about a young woman who knows she's different from other people but knows with a certainty that her father will always be there for her. Not to many men like Bear in this world who not only would sacrifice their life for their daughter but took on a step-daughter and raised her as his own. Yes, I fell in love with Bear. And besides that he's hot as hell.
Now about the other man who loves Violet, Mac. Mac is six years older than Violet, which he thinks is a lot. But I think Mac's maturity is exactly what grounded Violet. She needed another man, just like her daddy, who would accept her as she was and be patient with her. And forget what I said about not wanting to read about the younger ones smexing. Holy shit, the author wrote some of the hottest sex scenes I've ever read describing Violet's journey down to road to relinquishing her virginity. You have got to love Mac for being so patient during that journey. The author delivers a heart warming, emotional story of true love as it develops between Violet/Mac.
The we get a glimpse of Bear falling in love again with a good woman but even after he knows he wants April and a committed relationship, he puts it all on hold waiting for Violet to make her move.
There are a lot of LOL moments too with some of the conversations between Bear and Violet. I guess you can see from the 5 star rating, I more than liked this book. It was an emotional read for me with love radiating off the page between a father/daughter and a young woman and her first love.

Perfect Collision isn’t the typical MC Romance. It brings the sexy but it’s main focus is on Violet and the relationships in her life. The relationships with the H, Mac, her father Bear, and even more importantly, her relationship with herself. Violet is our h. She is the daughter of the MC VP, Bear. Vi is 17 at the beginning of the story and struggling to overcome the insecurities of dyslexia, ADD and the overwhelming feeling that she will never be good enough. Over the course of a little over 2 years, we hitch a ride on her journey as she begins to understand that her limitations are what ultimately fuel her true happiness. Violet finds her passion and with that discovery, she begins to really live HER life, breaking free of the traditional expectations that never fit.

The H, Mac, is the oldest son of the MC Pres, Brick. Six years older than Vi, they grew up together in the club. To escape the mantel of being the “president’s son”, Mac goes to another charter for a couple of years to establish himself as his own man. When he gets back he starts to see Vi with a whole new eye. Mac is... sweet. Not fluffy, beta sweet. But a Biker that respects women, respects his brothers and most importantly, respects HIS woman. Once he stops fighting his attraction to the younger Violet, he goes all in on making her his. And for once, it’s on HER schedule vs the caveman biker rollover that has become so typical. Mac is all about delivering what Violet needs. And that is damn sexy.

The MC aspect is really just a back-drop. The story is virtually angst and grit free. As a devoted Biker Book reader, that would normally be a turn off for me. But the way that LIna Andersson creates her world sucked me in from the start. I love the way she layers in her characters, main and supporting. I become totally invested in the entire picture. It’s a slower ride than I’m normally used to but that is what makes me appreciate the nuances that so many stories lack.

Loveeeeee it!!!!!

It wasn't ordinary MC biker story with angst and gritty detail. It was a very sweet romance between a hero, whose happen to be a member of MC and a heroine, a painfully shy tattoo artist. Do not compare it with Sheehan works or even her fellow author in TFC press, Susan Fanetti with her Signal Bend series. The MC life was just simple background "job".

Though it mostly out of drama also no suspense or even big problem and revelation but I seriously didn't want their story to end. I freaking enthralled not only the H/h but also all the secondary characters as well.

I used to undermine a virgin heroine and alpha hero. But surprise surprise... Lina Andersson execute the story fabulously it made me root for both the H/h. Mac and Violet win me. Totally.

Couldn't wait to read the next installment -- wish it will gonna be about the hero brother, Mitch.

07/22/2015 -- Just a story, but I really liked it. There were a few things, but sometimes I like a meandering story about two really likeable people and the people they surround themselves with. Not a long review. Just don't have it in me right now, but really liked this book.

This was a really good story. Vi and Mac were great and such a wonderful couple. Their story was more on the sweet side and there's not a lot of drama but it was still interesting enough that I stayed engaged in the story until the end. I've read book #1 but I'd agree that you really don't have to read book #1 to read book #2. It works well as a stand-alone. FYI, there's were some noticeable but usually small editing errors.

Violet is a tattoo artist and a sweet but rather quiet girl. She’s the daughter of Bear, the VP of the Marauders MC. Her older sister, Lisa, is going to med school and her mother also compares Violet to her and Violet always seems to come up lacking. Violet also has some behavior issues (a version of ADD where she's calm instead of hyperactive) which her mother refuses to acknowledge even exist which just makes things harder on Violet. Things get better for Violet when her mom and dad divorce and she lives with her dad. She loves drawing and has great artistic talent but she wasn't too sure where to go with her art.

Mac is the son of the President of the Marauders MC, Brick. When he decided to become a prospect in the MC, he decided to go to the Emporia chapter so he could become a member under his own merit. He did so but missed his home so eventually moved back home. Mac's a good guy and not a man-whore like his brother, Mitch.

Mac and Violet are 6 years apart in age so they didn't hang out a lot while growing up. Violet had a bit of a crush on Mac when she was younger and never quite got past it but it was easier to ignore once Mac moved away to another chapter as a prospect. They interacted here and there over the years, the most important time was when Violet was 16 years old. Mac had seen some of her art and complimented her on it. They talked a bit and during the conversation, Violet expressed her difficulty in finding a medium she wanted to study for her art (and launch a career in) and Mac suggested trying tattooing. Violet liked the idea and it propelled her in to an apprenticeship in tattooing and eventually becoming an artist. Because Mac was the one to suggest tattooing, Violet promised to give him a free tattoo once she was trained as an artist. It's around 2 months before her 18th birthday when he finally gets his tattoo from her. When it's done, they kiss and it sparks the attraction between them which they both feel strongly. However, she's Bear's daughter and still 17 years old so Mac backs off quick.

Mac and Violet end up avoiding each other for the next couple months. Mac's not happy about it but figures it's probably for the best. Violet is mortified over her inexperience with their first kiss and him saying she was too young and wants to avoid him at all cost. In the mean time, Brick and Bear talk about what they see going on and Bear deals with the thoughts of Vi and Mac together, which is fortunate. It takes a bit more time but eventually Vi and Mac realize they're not going to be happy staying away from each other. They spend some time together and see how things go between them before the subject is brought up to Bear and his permission given (thankfully he's realized by this point that Mac is a good guy and will treat Vi well). Vi has been working as an apprentice tattoo artist for a while (around high school) and she and Mac try to spend as much time together as they can around her schedule. They fall for each other and are sweet together (and Mac doesn't care when his brothers give him shit for being pussy-wipped). Vi does hold back a bit on jumping too quickly and Mac does very good at taking things at her pace. There are some issues with her mother trying to cause trouble but her intrusion doesn't last long. Thing do take a turn when some drama hits and Mac (and 3 other brothers) end up in prison for a little over a year. Vi concentrates on her tattooing while he's in and with her talent she starts getting a name for herself and winning some awards but isn't really happy again until Mac gets out. Once he gets out things are really good for Mac and Vi as they start their HEA.

I really enjoyed this story. I really liked Mac and Vi a lot. They were both great and worked so well together once they got past the initial getting together phase. The secondary characters were a big part of the story and added to it greatly. I liked seeing Bear PoV at times as he observes what's going on with Vi and Mac. Also, there was a secondary romance between Bear and his new lady with was a nice addition. I'm looking forward to more books from the Marauder's MC world. I'd recommend this story. Thumbs up! :D

Perfect Collision was the sweetest biker book I have ever read. I'm giving it 4 1/2 stars because I did my self wondering where the grit was. I kept waiting for someone to try to kidnap Vi towards the end and it didn't happen. Truthfully though, after the I read the last word of the epilogue I was grinning and stayed grinning for quite awhile while I thought about it.

There were three POV's and I loved each one of them. Mainly this is Vi's story. It's kind of a coming of age story which I usually don't like but I loved this one, probably because Vi is the farthest thing from a drama queen you could ever find. Vi has ADD which causes hyper focus, dyslexia, and she is painfully shy even though her Dad is the Marauders VP and she was raised around a biker club. She has had a huge crush on Mac, Brick's son for a very long time. Vi's Mom is Ella, who most the time is okay but is an absolute bitch to Vi because she doesn't want to acknowledge her ADD etc. Vi is also an extremely talented artist.

Bear is Vi's Dad and I loved getting his POV. Vi's parents divorced when she was 15 and Bear refused to allow Ella to get custody of Vi because of the way Ella acts towards Vi. He became a single parent and he took it seriously. Ella was screwed up but Bear was a huge surprise. He made sure he understood what Vi needed and he made it happen. Their interactions had me going "that's so sweet" one minute to laughing hysterically at Bear over a sex talk etc. When he realized Vi was head over heels for Mac, and that Mac might have feelings for Vi, he was not a happy man. His reactions and actions made this book. It's not very often you read about a biker, who is a Dad, who reigns in his temper and thinks before he acts. That does not mean he doesn't threaten bodily harm to Mac, he does plenty of times and that's hilarious too. The thing is Bear was like a second Dad to Mac and he knew him. He knew Mac wasn't a manwhore and he knew he wouldn't go there unless he truly had feelings for her. He still wanted to kill him though. His POV as he worked through all this was priceless.

Let's talk about Mac. He is 6 years older than Vi. When I read the blurb, I was less than thrilled. I've read a couple of biker books where this exact situation has happened and it made me feel kinda queasy. This was not the case. They grew up together and Vi's older sister was close to Mac and his brother Mitch. When Mac realized little Vi had grown up and he had a thing for her he backed off. He waited until she was over 18, and even then did not have sex with her for a loooong time. First he wanted to make sure it was more than a crush on her part, then he wanted to make sure she was ready. Truly, I wish I had a Mac when I turned 18. He was that awesome. He also got her issues and bent over backwards to work with them, not around them, he fit them into his life and did whatever he needed to do to make her comfortable with herself and happy. It was beautiful to read.

There were some conflicts but they took a back seat to Vi's story. There were also some club happenings that seriously affected Mac and Vi. I did miss the grit although it was there it was just downplayed. I made a comment to another group that I was kind of hoping the guy missing his hand would stir up some drama by maybe kidnapping Vi or something. Then I realized since there's a guy missing his hand, obviously there was grit. I guess I'm getting sensitized to all this violence.

This is MC lite, but well worth the read. I needed a happy read, but I hate sicky sweet though. This book was just right and I can't wait to see what's next for the marauders.

3-3.25 stars. This was kind of an odd book. I did enjoy it overall, but it was kind of a mishmash.

This is the story of Violet and Mac. Violet is the daughter of Bear, a MC president, and is a shy, awkward, low self-esteemed, artistic girl with ADD. Mac is in the club and is 6 years older than her. Violet has had a crush on Mac, but he never really saw her as anything but a kid, until she is 17. Vi has started putting her artistic talent to good use and is training to be a tattoo artist. She does a tattoo for Mac and he kisses her, but then he pushes her away because he feels like it isn't right that she is so much younger than him. But they spend more time together and, once she turns 18, they decide to pursue a relationship together. It is serious from the beginning and Mac is her first everything. Bear doesn't mind them together either, because he trusts Mac and would rather her be with a brother (in the MC) than a stranger. They soon fall in love.

The writing in this book was very juvenile. It is really simple language with lots of exclamation points. It felt very YA. But there is descriptive sexy times so I wasn't sure why it was written that way. For a MC read, it was unusually safe and sweet. Mac is a relationship type guy and not a manwhore. Vi's personality is very odd. It is blamed on her having ADD, but it was almost like she was autistic. She was not just very shy, she was socially awkward, not very capable of reading social cues and spoke without thinking a lot. She acted much younger and more innocent than the daughter of a MC president would act. I did like her character though. She was just very different. Her father, Bear, also acted very sheltering of her, which I thought was odd for a MC president too. The pacing on the story was strange too. The story begins with Violet crushing on Mac and him thinking she is too young. Then they succumb to their feelings and begin a relationship and are together for a year. But then all momentum is slowed when Their relationship is slow and the book describes each step they take physically and emotionally, almost like a checklist.

I did like the book, despite it's faults, mainly because I liked Mac and Violet together. They were really sweet. Mac was very patient and accepting of Violet's issues. She was really lucky to have someone that understood her and fit her so perfectly. This was my first read by Lina Anderson and I'm not sure if I will read more from this series. I liked the overall sweet tone and that it was a light, fluffy MC book, but the language and innocentness of the characters made for an odd read.

WOW!!! I was lucky to get to borrow this book from the kindle lending library and what a fantastic read this was! When I read Lina Andersson's first book Arrow of Time, I was impressed but only gave it 4 stars because I thought it was too "light" for an MC book. Well NOT so with this one...I absolutely loved everything about this story, especially how each character is slowly fleshed out and people are allowed to grow up and mature in a natural, believable way.
Bear, the VP of the Marauders, may be a biker, but he is a hell of a good daddy to his shy, younger daughter Violet and when his wife and he split (and Violet stays with him) he behaves just as any protective father would and it was really sweet.
Violet has crushed on Mac (the son of the club President) since she was a little girl and when they see each other through new eyes when she is barely of legal age, all hell breaks loose.
I won't spoil all the wonderful personal dynamics or drama that make up this book, but it is well written and very different as far as the cool factor goes. Violet is an artist and she uses her talent to overcome her shyness and insecurities and turns into a beautiful and well respected artist of a different medium =)
The love story is sexy and slow burning it will make you cross your legs a few times...lol...and the club life is not so sugar-coated in this one, but a good mix of reality and since most of the members are older with kids and all, there is a very strong presence of family throughout.
A really great follow-up to the first book...love love loved Mac and Violet's story!!

5 AMAZING ROMANTIC STAR

wow, this book so much better than the first one " Arrow of time"

this book told love story about mac and violet, from the moment their crushed grew until they closed to a very beautifull relationship...mac was a very mature guy and sincerely in love with vi...shes intrique him with her personality but he taught her everything about love, her interest in art and sex and it was so romantic..u really could feel his love toward vi..

vi was a very shy , honest and brave girl..she had ADD and she struggled to become mature and a real person...mac tought her to become what she wanted and she sincerly in love and adored mac so much...the story revolved from their adolecent until mature and their journey to become couple...it had so much fun to read it...all the previous character were there including the famous brick family and their member....

but the most character whos touched me was BEAR, hes become my greatest dad character of all time...hes so wise, and loved violet all his heart wow...lina really did made amazing daddy character..welldone

Oh Mac. Mac Mac Mac ... I likely could have babysat you, but damn you got to me. For an MC novel this is very character driven, but I for one loved it. Vi was such a sweetheart, and while I felt some concern, lke others, about having a FL so young (you know, could I RELATE to her?), that was quickly dashed. If you're going to take a girl from having a crush to being barely legal and being head-over-heels for a guy, this was completely the way to do it. And Violet isn't relatable to me, I have nothing in common with the girl. But man she feels real, as much as Bear, Mac, Mitch, Mel and Brick do. With each book this author makes these characters so real I still expect I'll run into one of them some day. She is just that damn good.

I wavered back and forth about reading the first book in this series, Arrow of Time. I think, to be honest, the cover of that one turned me off BUT I finally read it and fell in love with the Marauders. I almost missed the release of this book but luckily caught a post about it and snatched it up. Today, I am dragging from staying up all night reading this book. Mac and Violet are amazing and I want Bear to adopt me!! Loved, Loved, Loved this book! Lina Andersson is becoming one my new favorite authors! I can't wait to see what comes next!

Perfect Collision was a wonderfully written story about Violet, who is different than everyone else and Mac who sees the beauty she possesses even when she does not.

I felt this was more of a YA novel than an MC novel, because the h was 14 when the book started and it does span many years, but the way it was done was perfect.

I am excited to see who is next that she writes about, my guess is Mitch, but who knows :).

Wow no words can describe this book. I loved the first one but perfect collision just blow my mind. As I'm writing this I have decided to re-read this book tonight.
I loved Violet so much she is such a strong character and one that I won't be forgetting any time soon. I would recommend this book to all MC novel fans.
Like I said at the beginning no words can describe how amazing this book is. Lina you have done one heck of a job, keep them coming.

Awesome cover, awesome book! Biker romances are often hit or miss for me but this one was great. The author has some serious story telling chops and handled some sensitive subjects perfectly. Definitely checking out more by this author right now.

Wonderful Read. Violet and Mac are in love. Younger woman and slightly older man. I cried about the relationship with her father, Bear. What a wonderful dad!

very simplistic writing, but at times so humorous.
