It was all so perfect, until the dark side of life paid Amber a visit. Now all she’s got is a bloodied pair of pink pyjamas and a cardboard box down a rat–infested alley.
Amber comes face to face with a cruel murderer in the bush. She must decide — kill him now or later?
And remain a victim at the hands of her mother, or fight for a life of her own?

URBAN HUNTERS is storytelling at its best. Unlike anything you’ve ever read, in typical Taaffe fashion. Always surprising. Wonderful!

Urban Hunters is a wonderful, if not one of the best, young adult books in our generation. It explores the Aboriginal culture very well and tackles different issues that we face--from love to grief to a whole lot more. The eighth book is a great addition to this wonderful book series. It's exciting how Gary highlighted Amber in this installment. Just like the previous books, you'll be hooked to this one and will be compelled not to put it down, keeping you focused on every action-, emotion- and thrill-packed page of the book.
It may be the final straw but it is not the final book in a series that now seems to be never ending, and yet not much really seems to have happened when you look back - perhaps two or three longer form books would have been better?
