One murder has already taken place on Malbec Street - and there's about to be another.
Trish's husband was killed months ago and now someone is sending her letters, threatening that she'll be the next victim. If she doesn't figure out the person behind these notes? Then she will be the next to die.
She's made a list of suspects. Trish believes that if she can get all of these people in the same place at the same time, she'll be able to figure out who wants to hurt her. How to do that? She'll host a dinner party.
Whichever guest stays until the very end must be the person who's after her. Only then will she have all the answers she's been begging for since Paul's death. Emotions run high. Secrets are revealed. Which guests will overstay their welcome - and who will be the last to leave?
I really enjoyed this mystery thriller. Trish's husband died and she suspects it was murder and not an accident. She decides to plan a party and invite his friends, family and neighbors. Just when you think that you've figured it all out you're wrong and I like that in a thriller. You have got to keep me guessing and this story did very well at that.
My first novel from this author. An interesting plot. Simple but effective plot twist. I did feel the ending was rushed a bit and that there was a lack of character building on the FMC’s husband - both aspects that could have elevated the novel a bit more. A quick simple thriller-esque novel that didn’t fully grip me enough to keep me wanting to read on but a simple and effective enough story line that I finished and gave an “average rating”. A good read if you are in a reading slump and need something simple.
You truly have to read from start to finish in like two sittings. This was a great story line & one I hadn’t read or even seen in a movie before! R.L. really let her thoughts tie this whole story together perfectly!
Keeps you guessing until the end, however the end left me unsatisfied and seemed a bit rushed. But leading up to the plot was written very well and makes you suspect or support every character.
