Those interested in A.A. history will find this two-book volume to be a must-have edition. Practice These Principles is an edited version of the original work, What is the Oxford Group? (full text reprinted) which served as a basis for the text of Alcoholics Anonymous. What is the Oxford Group? was written in 1932 and served as one of the core books for early A.A.s.
Truly a must have AND a must read for those who are interested in the association between the Oxford Group and Alcoholics Anonymous. "Practice These Principles" is a modernized version of the original language of "What is the Oxford Group?"
Very interesting read full of spiritual insights and wisdom. Grateful that 12 step movement adapted the principles without the religiosity. Amazing to see how this adapted into the 12 step movement and grateful for that!
I loved Practice these principles but What is the oxford Group (the original version of the group's text) is a bit too Christian extremist for me. I prefer the lighter version with the exact same principles but allowing me to choose my own conception of a higher power.
