Sequel to Hans

You do need to read that first so as not to be lost in Sage. A fast paced book that jumps straight in where Hans ended. There's a new character added into the story which was interesting. There was a lot of potential for this book, lots of twisty twists. Lots of my unanswered questions from Hans were answered in Sage which I enjoyed.
I devoured both books as fast as I physically could.
The ending was a shock, although I did kind of expect it, in a round about way. I knew it would be one of them, but Marcy?? You dark horse.

Sage, the sequel to Hans, focuses on Sage, her desire to reconnect with Hans and finding herself throughout this journey. Sage has a lot of childhood trauma which contributed to her current psychological wellbeing, reasoning and bizarre actions. Sage truly loves Hans and wants to be with him for eternity.

Hans is conflicted about reconnecting with Sage, but the teen boy in him wants to love and protect her. Sage has ultimately been the driving force behind his career, his motivation to thrive in the police and make a difference. Hans and Sage play a delicate cat and mouse game fuelled by curiosity and a deep desire for one another. There is a plot twist when they meet up with Marcy, a lover from Sage’s past, which ignites their passion and strengthens their connection. The question is, will the trio find a balance, together?

This was a quick read with unexpected plot twists and a lot of explosive spice!!

Note: Sage is the sequel to Hans, this is not a standalone book and it’s best to read Hans in order to understand and thoroughly enjoy Sage.

The second book is mostly about Sage escaping the fire and trying to find Hans to talk to him about everything. You find out about what happened to her younger and why she is mentally unstable. Hans and her meet up with Marcy (an old flames of his and Sage) and they hide out in his old co workers home. But someone from Sage's past is getting suspicious and they have to move to a hotel. Some really spicy stuff happens with the three of them there and decide Hans and Marcy will both date Sage. Sage and Marcy want to start a new life in another state. This series was so good and I just devoured both of the books. I can't wait to read more of your work Rhea Vynn!

A Great Follow-Up That Deepens the Story!

After enjoying Hans, I was excited to dive into Sage, and….
I tell you what…..
It did NOT disappoint!!!

While Hans, Book 1, introduced us to the world and laid the emotional groundwork, Sage, book 2, builds onto that with more depth, tension, and heart.

It was great to see how characters grew while getting a closer look at Sage's own journey.

Rhea does a phenomenal job at expanding the story, without losing the tone and connection that made Book 1 so compelling.

Some parts were a tad slow for me, but overall, it's a strong continuation that kept me invested and interested!

I can't wait to see where the series goes next!

This is the sequel to the book Hans written by the same author. This is a fairly fast paced book and the story will make more sense if you read Hans first. This more or less picks up right where Hans ended. We also get to meet a new character that plays a crucial part in the story. For me the ending was a little anticlimactic just because I realized that was how it was going to end four chapters before it ends. It’s a good story that flows well and answers questions from the previous book while bringing up a whole slew of other questions. But I enjoyed it and recommend it.

This author has SO MUCH potential & I’m very excited to see her future works. I highly recommend you read Hans (the Breadcrumb Chronicles #1) before you read Sage, or you’re going to be very lost. Sage picks up right where Hans left off, & is a fast paced, twisty book. I was able to get the answers for all of my questions from Hans, & also new questions from Sage. It did seem like Marcy kind of appeared out of thin air, but you quickly learn to like her. I didn’t expect the ending that we got, & I love that!

Sage is the second book in The Breadcrumb Chronicles series. You should definitely read Hans first to understand the beginning of this book. I love how it picked up right where Hans left off.

This book took me for a whirlwind with the things going on. I enjoyed being able to see the flashbacks to how Sage got to where she was in the forest and what made her do the things she did. I don't know how I feel about Marcy especially with the way that the last few chapters of the book went.

The ending left me speechless and in dire need for more about Marcy and how she came about

Have you met Sage? You meet her in Hans, so make sure you read that one before digging into this one. She's wild and I love her so much. I wasn't sure about her at first, but then she grew on me and I just get so giddy thinking about her lol.

This one will take you on twists and turns that are so wild you'll be like what the heck! But ahh it's so good. Have I mentioned how much I love her character?!

This series is such a fun read!!!

This story may be brief, but it was incredibly enjoyable! However, now I'm eager to read about Hans. Sage and Hans don't receive the happily ever after I hoped for them. Sage's primary desire is to feel secure, and everyone makes an effort to help her. I was taken aback by the numerous twists and turns throughout the book. I genuinely liked Sage and adored the romance between the two female characters. This book is truly fantastic! Be sure to check for triggers before diving in.

We met her as Gretta in Hans...the girl lost in the woods, captured by the evil old lady....but she has transformed into Sage.

After the horrors the old lady forced upon Sage, her mental state changed, and she wanted to be loved and cared for. Unfortunately, she didn't take the correct steps, and things get out of hand.

Hans tries to help her, but in the end, pays the price for trying to care about the girl he used to know....

This book does not contain a happy ever after and leaves you with a "wtf just happened?" ending.

Happy reading, book lovers!

Please check the TWs.

If you haven't already, be sure to read Hans first, or you will be lost, as this is book 2.

Rhea Vynn has a way with words and Sage is another example of her genius. Make sure you read Hans first as this is book two in the Breadcrumb Chronicles.
This book answers questions that we have been needing since Hans. We get more of Sage’s backstory, taking I deep dive into why she is the way she is. The twists and turns along the way didn’t prepare me for the ending. Check you TWs and happy reading. I can’t wait to see more from Rhea Vynn🖤

I truly enjoyed reading this, it was very very unexpected, I don't normally get surprised by the plot .. but this one surprised me so much, I wasn't expecting it.
I gave it 4* not 5 because as a true crime enthusiast, the crime part of it felt abit off sometimes, however it is a very very good book!

It was a pretty good book but did not have an HEA. It definitely had some unexpected twists and you learn that all the characters aren't as innocent as they seem in different ways. You learn more about Sage's past as well. There is some FF in this book. Hans and Sage do not get the ending you would expect it definitely takes a different turn.

The book was quite enjoyable, though it didn't wrap up with a happily ever after. There were some surprising twists, revealing that the characters aren't as pure as they first appear. You also get deeper insights into Sage's backstory. Plus, there's some female-female romance included. Hans and Sage's conclusion is far from what you'd anticipate, taking an unexpected direction instead.

Sage's story is a wild ride. Once she escapes the old lady, she leaves a path of destruction behind her. Hans is trying to keep her safe, but she won't listen to anyone. Sage just wants to be loved, she wants to be who she was before all the torment started; Gretta. Hans and Sage's friend Marcy will do anything to help her. The twists and turns in this book were intense and kept you guessing!

Sage ends where Hans ended. I wished they had a happier ending, but I knew in my heart that Sage would create chaos. Hans was happy and I didn't want it to end for him like that. I did enjoy the story. It definitely had some twists and turns that I wasn't expecting. The story itself was easy to follow and the character development was very well done.

In book one we met Hans, a local detective trying to identify a serial killer in the forest where is childhood friend went missing. Sage, which was identified as Greta in book one, just happens to be the one person Hans is looking for.

All Hans wants to do is protect Sage but with everything Sage went through at the hands of her kidnapper when she was a child, makes Hans job at protecting Sage even harder. When things seem to start calming down and a life with Sage, and their friend Marcy, looks like a HEA.

In a way you want a HEA but unfortunately with all the events that happened in book one and two it just doesn't happen. It doesn't leave you upset but it does make you understand the turmoil both Hans and Sage (Greta) went through throughout their lives.

I read through this book so fast. I did pick up Hans before so I knew all the backstory and what not and am glad that I did. Sage was a quick read that didn’t leave you bored with all the twisty turns! It had some spice that you didn’t see coming, and that ending blinded sided me🫠 didn’t that headed our way at all, which I always enjoy in a book! Overall really enjoyed it and look forward to more from her!!

I absolutely loved reading Sage, the conclusion to the Breadcrumb Chronicles.

I was drawn in from the very beginning and there was not a moment where I wasn’t held captive by what was happening with Sage and Hans. The way that Sage developed as character was my favorite part of the story.

Full of action, drama, etc. I was kept on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Can’t wait to read more of the author.

Sage is book two in the Breadcrumb Chronicles.

I absolutely loved this series! This is a dark romance with wonderful characters that both had a hard life. I would highly recommend reading this series in order. Please remember to check the TW's. This book was well written with twists I didn't see coming and a shocking ending. I stayed up so I could finish this book because it's one I didn't want to put down. I look forward to reading more of Rhea's books in the future!
