I really enjoyed this book. It's got such a unique concept, I love the idea of someone being able to reap someone's brain and take their memories away.

The first chapter pulled me in, and I was right there all the way through, wanting to know what happens next.

The protagonist (Jenna) is very strong. I love strong female characters, and Jenna shows her strength throughout the story.

The story kept my interest the whole way through and I want to read more from this author. I'm especially looking forward to the sequel to Reaper!

Very good fantasy not quite dystopian YA novel for fans of Hunger Games and Divergent.

A fascinating idea- a person who can search through your brain and remove the memory you choose to get rid of. Wouldn't that be great? But hey, what about making the same mistake twice since you might think the same and do something again? Without the benefit of those memories wouldn't it make you more stupid? Less capable of making good decisions?
This story is about girls who have the gift of stealing memories and how some people abuse that gift for political gain. The idea of it, a bit scary to think about. The characters are made real by the author's skill of writing and you feel for these girls that are being used. It has a nice feeling of camaraderie among Weston and his close friends as well as Serenity and her ability to help others. Looking forward to the next book in this series!

I was lucky enough to receive a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I would like to thank the author for this wonderful opportunity but I fear that she won't like the outcome very much. This book was a tough read for me. The writing was OK but nothing spectacular. The pace was painfully slow and I thought of not finishing it at all because of my ever growing TBR list and the tortuous pace but I vowed to give an honest review and I didn't feel that I could make such a claim without reading through to the end. The good aspects of this book were that the plot was very original (high marks for that), which is increasingly harder to find, and there were a few unforeseen twists and turns which is always exciting to encounter. Overall it wasn't horrible but it was nothing spectacular. I don't think I will read on in the series

This book was very good. Usually I don't like romances, but this one was mellow enough that I could stand it, and all the love was just a side dish to the awesome action. The story was very unique and was written in a way that made me pick it up for every spare minute I had. It was also relatively clean, including the romance, which made the book much more appealing to me than if it hadn't been.
The idea of this story was intriguing. I loved the concept of the reapers, and I also thought the setting was a good but interesting match for the story told. I'll definitely read the next one if I can get my hands on it.

There are several reasons why I don't like this book. The romance was rushed, cheesy, and dumb. The plot could've been so much cooler, but instead it was used for weird things. It didn't really explain things very well. It left me assuming a lot of things that I wasn't sure were true. I felt like the author had a lot of ideas in her head but she couldn't put them down on paper.

Original story line with mystery, intrigue and a splash of romance thrown in. Well written in first person and it held my attention from beginning to end. I'll definitely be reading the next installment.

I enjoyed the original plot line and felt that even though the main character was young and in love she was a strong female lead who didn't have to give up her identity to be with her love interest. The pace was good (finished in 3 nights). Will look forward to reading the rest of the series.

This was a really great book! I couldn't put it down. One of the best YA novels I've read in awhile! Original ideas which are a nice refreshing change. I can't wait for more!
