Player comes by his name honestly. He earned his name when he joined the Archangel’s Warriors club well over a dozen years ago. Unlike his club brothers and other MC friends, he isn’t looking to settle down with one woman or to have a family. Dreams like that are for others, not him.

A chance meeting at the club’s bakery one day has him thinking about Saylor, the woman he meets and who knows one of his club brothers. Her challenges in life intrigue him, but he doesn’t want to be. He has no intention of giving her the time of day. A one-and-done would be fine, but she isn’t that kind of woman. He can see that from a mile away.

Saylor has survived a lot over the past four years. Things that would kill a lesser person or have them give up. Not her. She battles courageously onward with her sidekick, her dog, Freya. She’s determined to live her life to the fullest, even if her ultimate dream of a loving husband and kids is highly unlikely.

Player’s attempts to deny his feelings have him making stupid choices. It takes one of those, combined with her almost being killed, to make him see he’s gone and done what all his married friends and brothers have done. He’s fallen head-over-heels for a woman. He wants her forever, but will he be able to convince her after the things he did to show his disinterest in her? Ones that come back to haunt him after he stops fighting the inevitable. He has other-woman drama, a disbelieving Saylor, enemies who come back to finish what they started with his woman—to kill her. And a past he has to face that has been hidden even from his club.

Player becomes the doting man of her dreams, and Saylor is the Juno, the warrior of his. Their path isn’t smooth, but in the end, it will be built on a rock-hard foundation. If only the world and others would stop interfering. However, when you combine a reformed womanizer with a former Marine, nothing is impossible. They’ll be a couple no one can separate.

An avid reader with a passion for romances that finally got the chance to write one of her own. The rest is history. Not what anyone thought for someone who has been a nurse and in healthcare management for years.

I sit writing as my two fur babies, my pugs Kujo and Khaos, impatiently wait for me to get done so they can lay on me as their human sofa!

My children are finally considered to be adults, so it's me, the hubby and the dogs.

I'm a iced tea drinking fiend who has insomnia, more ideas than I know what to do with, and a need to write them down.

Not too bad for a girl from rural Ohio in the foothills of Appalachia that grew up in a town of about 4000 people.

Quite a few mistakes and I didn’t connect with either of the mc’s.

I don’t know whether it’s the beginning that spoils this book, but I really couldn’t connect to either of them. I’m so fed up of reading books that the man had a really bad experience years before, so he thinks he has to treat ALL women like trash! Player at the beginning of the book is really vehemently opposed to relationships and is quite angry that his brothers are in then. When he first meets Saylor he’s so angry with himself that he wants her so desperately that he’s a d*ck to her. I almost hated him. So he had a bad relationship years ago, boo hoo.

Then there’s the mistakes. 🔵 Terror and Harlow have been married for ten years. Bull was in his mid 50’s (?) think he was 55 if my memory is correct. Ten years later and Player says Bull is in his 50’s. Erm….???? There are a few other age discrepancies as well. 🔵 After shots are fired at Saylor’s house, not one of her neighbours call the police. Even though she’s really close to the single mother and her teenage daughter that she’s neighbours with. So none of the neighbours heard anything? 🔵 The author wants us to believe that a blind woman can shoot things without being able to see like Saylor does, and it’s not believable!

Anyway moving on. Saylor was a marine who is blind after a mission went wrong. She’s built a life for herself and her dog that assists her. When Saylor first meets Player he feels something for her but doesn’t want to admit it, so avoids her, is rude to her, and takes a bunny out to push her away. He succeeds and Saylor is really upset as she liked him. (WHY?) When an incident with Saylor shows she’s in grave danger, he realises that he wants a relationship with her. Can I just say that if I was Saylor I would have told him to f… off but Saylor is a doormat so she accepts his apology and explanation. 🤦‍♀️ (WHY??)

As the danger ramps up, so does their relationship with a few bumps along the way. (All caused by Player.) All the men heap praise on Saylor as she’s so amazing yet they all treat her like a delicate little flower, especially Player, and it’s friggin annoying. Then there’s Vex. Vex knew Saylor before as his family retrained her dog to assist her. When he meets her again he seems as though he wants Saylor, and is angry with Player for being with her. Yet nothing is ever mentioned about it.

Too many issues with this book ruined it for me sadly.

2.25⭐️ CSJ books are hit or miss for me. Well, it seems that Player’s story is a big fat miss. I just couldn’t get into this story and I’m just going to leave it at that.

Leaving his playboy ways behind for good

Deny, deny, deny is Player's default response concerning Saylor, but he soon discovers that his heart and mind are ganging up on him, just like the old ladies in his MC. For me, the main characters in Player's Juno (Hunter's Creek Archangels Warriors MC Book 12) by Ciara St James drew me in from the first chapter. The slow build kept me hooked to see how Player would overcome his playboy ways and win over Juno. I loved the slow burn as these two learn about one another, become friends, and then evolve into lovers who totally fall in love with one another.
Another element that kept me on the hook throughout is Saylor's backstory and how a part of her past has come forward to haunt and hunt her. She's aptly named Juno, as she was a warrior as a Marine, but she continues her warrior ways as she navigates her life, facing limitations without letting them stop or slow her down. Saylor is truly a woman to be admired! And so is her beloved service dog, Freya. This pup deserves a medal of honor, and the author does a fantastic job of bringing Saylor's best friend to life on the page.
As a fan of this author and her many series, it's always awesome to revisit past characters and she delivers in this book too. Dublin Falls and other ally clubs assist when things revolving around the danger and threat to Saylor get real.
Overall, this author delivers another excellent MC read that showcases a couple that overcomes adversity, love trumps all, and MC justice is the only way to go. I love that every book has a HEA, but it felt extra special and triumphantly satisfying for this couple.
I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

Player definitely embodied his road name, taking it on like it was his whole identity. Hidden underneath all that hit it and quit it bravado was a broken heart. Saylor is a strong, determined woman. She doesn't put up with his behavior and he is left wondering if he has fallen under the same spell as his brothers. He just fights it more, determined to never suffer from a relationship again. Saylor is so strong and capable, she doesn't let her blindness prevent her from living life to the fullest. Her perspective on making the businesses owned by the club more accessible to folks with disabilities was wonderful, something a lot of people don't even think about. Her work with other veterans was to be admired as well. Their relationship was definitely a perfect example of she didn't need him to make life perfect, she wanted the man he truly was underneath his cocky persona. Can't wait for more!

Player & Saylor

What a whirlwind of a story.

Player came by his road name as you would imagine. He was sure he didn’t want an old lady and kids like some of his brothers had so when he met Saylor and started having confusing feelings towards her he did what he had to to push her away and it worked, almost.

Saylor was a Marine who relocated to Hunters Creek after an injury and worked at the local VA. She befriended the old ladies who run and work at the bakery and become close to them until a nasty run in with Player had her avoiding the compound and everyone there. The old ladies finally convince her to join them for a night out, where more Player drama ensued, and then when Saylor goes home that night she’s hurt and calls the MC for help. From there you’ll have to read along to get through all the unexpected twists and turns.

Player really started out as an ass in this one. I'm surprised that he was able to win over Saylor at all! It was fun to see how the rest of the club was with Saylor. Right from the start they thought she had great ideas about making their businesses more accessible and implemented many of them right away. They were impressed with Saylor's skills with her being blind. But that was nothing compared to the skills she showed off when trouble came, the drama ensued and everyone was pulled into deal with things. I loved seeing Saylor kick ass and how she was able to shock everyone. Loved more when the bad guys were caught how they let Saylor be in on getting all the info, she deserved it!

The ending was cute, nice to see these 2 happy.

What a great story!

I've never read a book where the main female character was blind before. I think Ciara did an excellent and realistic job at creating Saylor. I was happy to see Player get his forever woman. The characters were all well developed and showed growth throughout the book. As always I love the way the MC is like one big family and that they genuinely care about one another. There is a threat from her past against Saylor and it provides some drama for the story. Of course, the club is right there to help her. Saylor and Player are a passionate couple who share some hot steamy scenes together. I enjoyed this book so much I had to read it in one sitting. I highly recommend this book.

Player's Fall

What a book Ms St. James never fails to surprise me. I have wondered about Player from Payne's book and she gave him the perfect story. The building of Saylor's character and her blindness gives a depth to make this a great read. When we got the blurb I didn't like the idea of Player being the hero but she won me over with her building his story. She brings Player to life in a way you would not expect. As the story unfolds you see how two completely different people grow to love each other in a very scary and difficult time. You also find the men and women of Hunters Creek Archangel's Warriors rising to take care of the problem.

It was too long and I got bored. There was no chemistry between the main characters and I just couldn't like either of them. We have another so called strong independent woman who is too stubborn to accept freely offered help and wants to bury her head in the sand about problems and not face them. Just makes her stupid, imo.
It might have been better and less boring if the ridiculous side plot of the guy out to get her was not written. Why does there ALWAYS have to be some unneccesary drama/danger coming after the h?
On the plus side, there wasn't an excessive number of boring sex scenes to read.

Great!

I chose this rating because this was a pretty good book. I enjoyed pretty much all of the characters. This was a book of protection, kindness, awareness, understanding, and doing what's right. I enjoyed Player and Saylor's story. I think they made a very unique couple. She was a force to be reckoned with. She did what she had to do to take care of herself and her man and his club were there right by her side. I loved the way her support dog Freya was right there with her. The author did a great job putting these two characters together. Great read! I recommend this book to all romance reader and MC lovers.

Player's Juno is book 12 in the Hunters Creek Archangel's Warriors MC series written by the amazing
and talented author Ciara St. James. The book is everything, I hoped for, the author does not disappoint! I don’t want to give anything away!! Juno and Player’s story is full of action, suspense, danger, drama, humor, banter, awesome characters, sassy old ladies, sexy bikers and more. One of my best reads of 2024 and a book that should not be missed. Can't wait for the next installment for Hunter's Creek.

We all know men are going to say and do stupid things now an then its why we love them but boy does Player go above and beyond when it comes to Saylor. In his quest to proof he doesn’t need an Old Lady and a family he says and does he hurts her in so many ways. When he finally accepts that she is what he needs he’s got a lot of work ahead of him in the making up department. Saylor doesn’t give in easily to Player she’s a strong woman and makes him work for her forgiveness. Loved this story and couple and looking forward to more.

Player’s Juno by Ciara St James

This is a continuation of the Hunters Creek Archangel’s series. This is Players and Saylor’s story. Saylor was a Marine who was blinded during her service. Player is a
manwhore due to his history. They meet and Player falls for her fighting it all the way. Saylor is attracted but doesn’t trust manwhore’s as her ex husband was one. They get their HEA but much drama and chaos happens before their HEA.

Absolutely Amazing

Truly loved Player and Saylor. It was everything a love story is all about. The one person who we all thought would be single forever has finally fallen. Saylor is amazing in everything she's had to go through. I don't know if I could still be that positive after all she's had to endure.
Loved this book and can't to see what happens next and who falls next. And I can't wait to find out Howe many babies they're gonna have

Great

If you like strong women you will love Player’s old lady Juno. A not great start turns into a wonderful love story for Juno and Saylor. A very entertaining and interesting story with not your typical female character which is wonderful to read about. All the characters we know and love from other books in this series make an appearance and we learn about Player’s past and Saylor’s time in the marines ❤️🖤

An Amazing Read!!!!

Player and his Juno have one heck of an amazing story to tell!
There is SO much happening in this book. You are going to want to smack Player, several times, at the beginning. I was so mad at him. He DOES redeem himself in short order.
Juno is perfection. What a warrior!!! And Freya was the best!
Action, mystery, intrigue, DRAMA, spicy good stuff and a host of awesome supporting characters.
It was an AMAZING read!!!

Want action & a HEA??

This is the book for you. Ciara St James gave us an amazing heroine in Saylor! A perfect match for our Player. She takes no prisoners & the steel spine to stand up to him when he’s stupid (happens a lot in this book lol).
I love how all of Ciara’s series’ are intertwined. It’s like awesome family reunions in every book. If you haven’t checked out all of her MC series yet, run to kindle & start them now, you won’t regret it!!

Player and Saylor

Player's got a bad case of denial when it comes to Saylor, but fortunately, his heart and mind are there to set him straight. I was totally invested in their story, and I loved the slow burn as they went from friends to lovers. Saylor's backstory was the icing on the cake - it added an extra layer of tension to the story. Saylor's one badass chick with one helluva dog! Ciara St James has brought it once again!

Strength and determination

Ciara St James has done it again. Juno and Player’s story is amazing full of strength , determination and some hurtful moments. Player has hidden the reason he is the way he is and when it hurts the one person he doesn’t want to it makes him miserable. Juno is a bad@## and will not let any man put her down. Love her character.

LOVED!!!

I can't express how much I loved this book! I always love Ciara's books, but this one was just something extra special. Saylor was a kick ass Marine who didn't allow her disability to slow her down. She took Player by surprise and turned his world upside down and showed him he was a very special man worthy of love and a family.

I love the original series but these more recent stories are just lacking. I didn't like either of the characters, previously they've been lovable rogues, but the more recent MMC are just awful. I read a book a day yet this took me 3 days because I was that bored I was just getting distracted so easily.

Another great story

This has a really strong lead female character and she was really interesting. Throw in a commitment phobe in Player and add in a vengeful former commanding officer who caused severe injury and you have a great story told beautifully by the author.
No spoilers, just read and enjoy

Who would of thought. The one guy who swore up and down he never settle down & claim an old lady. Guess what he did. Saylor is no delicate flower either. She may have lost her eyesight in combat but she is a total baddie! Loved reading this book. Can’t wait for more of the guys to find their Old Lady’s. I can’t wait for Jinx to find his. I got my eyes on him.

Another home run for Ms. St. James. These books are getting better and better with each new one that comes out. The characters are relatable and lovable . Each new book brings in old favorites from previous books and keeps the family feeling going.
Juno is new to town and as a Veteran is doing ok/ when she is meeting the MC, she also is being attracted to Player and vice versa. They both are trying to not read too much into it and are both leary about the sudden feelings they have. player is running from past problems and trying not to let his attraction to Juno get to him like all the other old ladies did to the rest of the club. Juno is not sure if she can trust him and still be independent. She was hurt in the Military and is working for the VA, to help other VETS.
When her past comes calling it takes everything in Player not to put her in a glass box for protection, but she soon proves she can take care of herself even being blind.
The club and associates help her take care of the trouble and her and Playerare soon planning a future together.

Book twelve in the Hunters Creek Archangel's Warriors MC series. Player is a member of the club. His name is his lifestyle. He’s a one night kind of guys til he meets saylor. Saylor is a blind ex soldier. Nothing comes easy for her. She has an amazing dog that helps her along the way. When they meet he shares a comment that takes Saylor back and hates him on sight. When she gets hurt his reaction is over the top. He change his tune and works really hard to show her his way are long gone. He falls hard and no way to change the past. Only hope is that she can see there is more to him than the player they say he is.

2.5 stars. I sporadically try to read this author’s MC’s books but I think I shouldn’t any more. Too sappy for an MC read. Corny dialogue juxtaposed with violence and tough talk, club whore drama and an immature, promiscuous H = no thanks.

It was amazing to see the strength of a female veteran who continued forward. No matter who you were whatever life’s hurdles can cause so many insecurities. Thank you once again for giving us a realistic view.
